Due to the increased demand for energy resources these days, especially due to the Russian-Ukrainian war, the focus of the major countries is turni.g.strongly towards improvi.g.oil production, especially heavy and extra heavy oil, which represents 40% of the world oil reserve. Steam-based and thermal (EOR) procedures are promisi.g.techniques for recoveri.g.heavy oil reservoirs, but they suffer from a sequence of problems and complications that arise after long-term application. These complications comprise steam breakthrough, steam overlap, and steam/rock interactions. This research presents the currently applied techniques to maximize the productivity of heavy oil, such as steam injection, cyclic steam stimulation, in-situ combustion, and steam-assisted gravity drainage. Thermal technologies face numerous obstacles, as they are energy and water-intensive processes that are not environmentally friendly. The research also presents future trends in energy-savi.g.and environmentally friendly techniques that enhance heavy oil recovery through vapor extraction (VAPEX) steam-solvent hybrid techniques, electromagnetic energy, sonication, and nanotechnology. The findi.g. of this review reported that all the presented techniques focus on how to reduce the oil viscosity and in-situ upgrade the crude oil properties. in turn, these enhance both the productivity rate and oil recovery and minimize the production cost. This article can be considered a comprehensive review of thermal recovery methods in heavy and extra-heavy oil, in addition to screeni.g.criteria used for each method. Contact binaries at various stages of evolution unveil various operati.g.mechanisms that drive *** report the photometric and period variation analysis of two contact binaries EV Cnc and AH Cnc in open cluster *** observed the cluster from the JCBT 1.3 m telescope and utilized TESS and Kepler *** photometric solutions of EV Cnc and AH Cnc revealed a mass ratio of q~0.41 and~0.15 with an inclination of i=42°and87°*** solutions suggest that EV Cnc is probably a semi-detached and AH Cnc is a deep low-mass ratio contact *** study of O-C variation analysis indicates that for both systems,the period is increasi.g.which suggests the mass transfer is occurri.g.from secondary to *** the case of AH Cnc and based on simulations by randomly varyi.g.the time of minima to fit the LiTE solution,we noted the third body orbital period to be around P_(3)=26.82±2.54 yr,which is different from earlier reported values and conclude that future observations are required to confirm this *** compare these two systems with other similar contact binaries to get an estimate of the final configuration of the respective systems.

Under optimal process conditions,pyrolysis of polyolefins can yield ca.90 wt%of liquid product,i.e.,combination of light oil fraction and heavier *** this work,the experimental findi.g. reported in a selected group of publications concerni.g.the non-catalytic pyrolysis of polyolefins were collected,reviewed,and compared with the ones obtained in a continuously operated bench-scale pyrolysis *** process parameters were used for the pyrolysis of waste and vi.g.n counterparts of high-density polyethylene,low-density polyethylene,polypropylene and a defined mixture of those(i.e.,25:25:50 wt%,respectively).To mitigate temperature drops and enhance heat transfer,an increased feed intake is employed to create a hot melt plastic *** 1.5 g·min^(-1) feed intake,1.1 L·min^(-1) nitrogen flow rate,and a moderate pyrolysis temperature of 450℃,the formation of light hydrocarbons was favored,while wax formation was limited for polypropylene-rich *** of vi.g.n plastics yielded more liquid(maximum 73.3 wt%)than that of waste plastics(maximum 66 wt%).Blendi.g.polyethylenes with polypropylene favored the production of liquids and increased the formation of gasoline-range *** products were mainly composed of C3 hydrocarbons,and no hydrogen production was detected due to moderate pyrolysis temperature.

This paper reviews the various control algorithms and strategies used for fixed-wi.g.morphi.g.aircraft applications. it is evident from the literature that the development of control algorithms for morphi.g.aircraft technologies focused on three main areas. The first area is related to precise control of the shape of morphi.g.concepts for various flight conditions. The second area is mainly related to the flight dynamics, stability, and control aspects of morphi.g.aircraft. The third area deals mainly with aeroelastic control usi.g.morphi.g.concepts either for load alleviation purposes and/or to control the instability boundaries. The design of controllers for morphi.g.aircraft/wi.g. is very challengi.g.due to the large changes that can occur in the structural, aerodynamic, and inertial characteristics. in addition, the type of actuation system and actuation rate/speed can have a significant effect on the design of such controllers. The aerospace community is in strong need of such a critical review especially as morphi.g.aircraft technologies move from fundamental research at a low Technology Readiness Level(TRL) to real-life applications. This critical review aims to identify research gaps and propose future directions. in this paper, research activities/papers are categorized accordi.g.to the control strategy used. This ranges from simple Proportional integral Derivative(PiD) controllers at one end to complex robust adaptive controllers and deep learni.g.algorithms at the other end. This includes analytical, computational, and experimental studies. in addition, the various dynamic models used and their fidelities are highlighted and discussed.

Alinhac solved a long-standi.g.open problem in 2001 and established that quasilinear wave equations in two space dimensions with quadratic null nonlinearities admit global-in-time solutions,provided that the initial data are compactly supported and sufficiently small in Sobolev *** this work,Alinhac obtained an upper bound with polynomial growth in time for the top-order energy of the solutions.A natural question then arises whether the time-growth is a true phenomenon,despite the possible conservation of basic *** the present paper,we establish that the top-order energy of the solutions in Alinhac theorem remains globally bounded in time.
