Background:This study addresses the pressing need to understand the nuanced relationship between‘mattering’—the perception of being significant to others—and problematic internet use(PiU)among university *** previous research that has primarily employed variable-centered approaches,this study first adopts a person-centered approach using Latent Profile Analysis(LPA)to identify distinct mattering ***,through variable-centered analyses,these profiles are examined in relation to different types of PiU—specifically problematic social media use(PSMU)and problematic gaming(PG)—as well as ***:Data were collected from 3587 university students across 19 universities in *** completed three mattering-related scales(General Mattering Scale,Anti-Mattering Scale,and Fear of Not Mattering inventory),along with the Bergen Social Media Addiction Scale,the internet Gaming Disorder Scale-Short Form,and the Nine-item Adaptability ***:A four-class model identified by LPA was optimally selected:Class 1(high general mattering,low anti-mattering,low fear of not mattering),Class 2(moderate levels),Class 3(moderate general mattering,high antimattering,high fear of not mattering),and Class 4(low general mattering,low fear of not mattering,moderate anti-mattering).Significant differences were found among these classes in both PiU types(PSMU:F=139.66,pifferences consistently showed:Class 3>Class 2>Class 4>Class *** 3 participants demonstrated the highest likelihood of meeting the addiction criteria,Class 2 showed moderate probability,while Classes 1 and 4 exhibited lower probabilities(χ^(2)=113.38 to 408.87,all pitionally,Class 3 reported the lowest adaptability(F=131.67,pion:This study reveals that the unique influence of three ways of assessing feelings of mattering and the fear of not mattering on university students’PiU at the personal level,

Advancing CLiL Approaches in EMi Settings Through international Collaboration:An introduction

CLiL,which stands for Content and Language integrated Learning,is an instructional approach that gives ample curricular and pedagogical attention to content and language outcomes in multilingual educational ***,it is heralded as a way to responsibly enact top-down English-Medium-of-instruction(EMi)policies at the university level,where teachers and students are tasked with developing their English proficiency while remaining competitive in the international job ***,teachers and teacher educators hoping to implement this approach in their science,technology,engineering and mathematics(STEM)content courses face significant *** article serves as an introduction to a guest-edited special issue that reports on several aspects related to a project of international collaboration called Project SCiLLA,an acronym for“STEM Content integrated with Language-Learning Activities”.We first provide a brief overview of the project,which was developed and carried out in collaboration between Michigan State University and a consortium of 10 rural universities in Kazakhstan as a way to support STEM educators who wish to adapt their teaching practices to Kazakhstan’s Ministry of *** then offer an overview of the six articles that comprise the special issue,and call for deliberate and dialogic international collaboration as a way to support teachers responding to language policy demands.

Association of the glycemic background patterns and the diabetes management efficacy in poorly controlled type 2 diabetes

BACKGROUND inadequate glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes(T2DM)is a major public health problem and a significant risk factor for the progression of diabetic *** To evaluate the effects of intensive and supportive glycemic management strategies over a 12-month period in individuals with T2DM with glycated hemoglobin(HbA1c)≥10%and varying backgrounds of glycemic *** This prospective observational study investigated glycemic control in patients with poorly controlled T2DM over 12 *** were categorized into four groups based on prior glycemic history:Newly diagnosed,previously well controlled with recent worsening,previously off-target but now worsening,and HbA1c consistently above 10%.HbA1c levels were monitored quarterly,and patients received medical,educational,and dietary support as *** analysis focused on the success rates of good glycemic control and the associated factors within each *** The study showed significant improvements in HbA1c levels in all *** most significant improvement was observed in individuals newly diagnosed with diabetes:65%achieved an HbA1c target of≤7%.The results varied between participants with different glycemic control histories,followed by decreasing success rates:39%in participants with previously good glycemic control,21%in participants whose glycemic control had deteriorated compared to before,and only 10%in participants with persistently poor control,with mean HbA1c levels of 6.3%,7.7%,8.2%,and 9.7%,*** one year,65.2%of the“newly diagnosed patients”,39.3%in the“previously controlled group”,21.9%in the“previously off-target but now worsened'”group and 10%in the“poorly controlled from the start”group had achieved HbA1c levels of 7 and *** in poorly controlled diabetes,the rate at which treatment goals are achieved is associated with the glycemic background characteristics,emphasizing the need for tailored ***

Amidst the ever-growing interest in high-mass-loading Li battery electrodes,a persistent challenge has been the insufficient continuity of their ion/electron conduction ***,we propose cellulose elementary fibrils(CEFs)as a class of deagglomerated binder for high-mass-loading *** from natural wood,CEF represents the most fundamental unit of cellulose with nanoscale *** preparation of the CEFs involves the modulation of intermolecular hydrogen bonding by the treatment with a proton acceptor and a hydrotropic *** elementary deagglomeration of the cellulose fibers increases surface area and anionic charge density,thus promoting uniform dispersion with carbon conductive additives and suppressing interfacial side reactions at ***,a homogeneous redox reaction is achieved throughout the *** resulting CEF-based cathode(overlithiated layered oxide(OLO)is chosen as a benchmark electrode active material)exhibits a high areal-mass-loading(50 mg cm^(-2),equivalent to an areal capacity of 12.5 mAh cm^(-2))and a high specific energy density(445.4 Wh kg–1)of a cell,which far exceeds those of previously reported OLO *** study highlights the viability of the deagglomerated binder in enabling sustainable high-mass-loading electrodes that are difficult to achieve with conventional synthetic polymer binders.

BACKGROUND Bone marrow transplantation(BMT)is a breakthrough procedure for patients with hematological and oncological conditions,particularly when all other treat-ments *** indications vary between patients and settings,and its outcomes depend on the donor type,transplantation facility,and center *** coun-tries where transplantation facilities are lacking,sending patients abroad for transplantation might be a safe and effective alternative to leaving the patient to face eventual disease morbidity or even mortality if the procedure is not per-formed ***,studies evaluating BMT abroad are *** To assess the clinical characteristics of patients who underwent BMT overseas and analyze the factors affecting their survival *** We conducted a retrospective cohort study of all Bahraini pediatric patients who underwent BMT between 2013 and *** records from Salmaniya Medical Complex and Overseas Treatment Office were *** demographics,RESULTS Of the 75 listed patients,62(82.7%)underwent BMT and were included,10(13.3%)did not,and 3(4.0%)were awaiting *** patients were male(n=33,53.2%).The mean age at transplantation was 7.8±4.9 *** main indication for treatment was acute myeloid leukemia(AML)(n=15,36.6%).Six patients(9.7%)required *** the 68 transplants,60(88.2%)involved conditioning,mostly a combination of fludarabine and total body irradiation(n=7,11.7%).Most patients underwent allogeneic transplantation(n=48,77.4%),primarily from related donors(n=47/48,97.9%).The most common complication was infection(n=51,79.7%).Follow-up averaged 3.3±2.5 *** overall survival rate was 77.4%.Survival odds were better for non-AML patients and Middle Eastern centers(P=0.015 and P=0.032,respectively).CONCLUSiON Bahraini males with AML primarily underwent allogeneic ***-AML patients and those transplanted in the Middle East had better survival rates,despite high complication rates

The formulae are established in position,momentum,and four-dimensional spaces for the one-range addition theorems of generalized integer and noninteger μ Coulomb,and exponential type correlated interaction potentials with hyperbolic cosine（GCTCP and GETCP HC）.These formulae are expressed in terms of one-range addition theorems of complete orthonormal sets of Ψα-exponential type orbitals（Ψ α-ETO）,α-momentum space orbitals（α-MSO）,and zα-hyperspherical harmonics（zα-HSH） *** one-range addition theorems obtained can be useful in the electronic structure calculations of atoms and molecules when the GCTCP and GETCP HC in position,momentum,and four-dimensional spaces are employed.
