To produce a highly refined microstructure,several metals or alloys have been processed via equal-channel angular pressing(ECAP).in this work,the mechanical and microstructural changes of the 5083 aluminum alloy in H11 condition after processed by two ECAP passes were *** ECAP H13 steel die with an inner angle(α)of 120°and outer curvature(β)of 20°was *** microstructural changes were associated with the loss of texture *** morphologies of the Mg2Si andα-Al(Mn,Fe)Si precipitates for the sample at the initial condition were similar to those subjected to two ECAP *** peak broadening measured by X-ray diffraction revealed an increment of both grain refinement and *** the second extrusion pass,the hardness increased by 62%compared with the initial ***,the heterogeneous hardness behavior was compatible with a highly localized dislocation *** two ECAP passes,shear parallel bands were observed to be at nearly 45°to the extrusion *** evaluation of first-order residual stress as a function of the depth of the analyzed sample displayed compressive or tensile values,depending on the measured *** the plastic deformation applied,the first and second-order residual stresses exhibited significant ***-Hall plots showed positive slopes,indicating an increment in the microstrain.

The effect of the amount of Sn on the formation of fcc phase in Ti-13 Ta-x Sn(x=3,6,9 and 12,at.%)alloys was *** alloys were synthesized by mechanical alloying using a planetary mill,jar and balls of stabilized *** Rietveld refinement,it was found that the obtained fcc phase has crystallite size smaller than 10 nm and microstrain larger than *** conditions are required to form an fcc phase in Ti-based *** all samples,the microstructure of the fcc phase consists of equiaxial crystallites with sizes smaller than 10 *** largest presence of fcc phase in the studied Ti alloy was found with 6 at.%Sn,because this alloy exhibits the largest microstrain(1.5×10-2)and crystallite size of 6.5 *** data reveal that a solid solution and an amorphous phase were formed during *** necessary conditions to promote the formation of solid solution and amorphous phases were determined using thermodynamic *** the amount of Sn increases,the energy required to form an amorphous phase varies from approximately 10 to approximately-5 k J/mol for 3 and 12 at.%Sn,*** thermodynamic calculations are in agreement with XRD patterns analysis and HRTEM results.

This study investigates the development of novel montmorillonite/castor oil blends to formulate sustainable lubricating greases to promote the replacement of petrochemicals industry-derived materials by substances obtained from renewable ***,the effect of the thickener concentration on the rheological,chemical,thermal,tribological properties,and atomic force microscopy(AFM)microstructure of these systems were *** results showed that the C20A nanoclay content could be used to modulate the viscosity values,the linear viscoelastic functions,and tribological properties of these montmorillonite *** general,these gel-like dispersions exhibited remarkable lubricant properties;the samples showed values of the friction coefficient and wear scars similar or lower than those obtained with model bentonite grease.

Since the pioneering work by Panksepp et al,the neurobiological bases of attachment behavior have been closely linked with opioid *** gene studies of adult individuals have shown that variation in the muopioid receptor gene(OPRM1)influences attachment *** maternal care and the A/A genotype of the A118G polymorphism interact in modulating levels of fearful *** to their counterparts carrying the A/A genotype,individuals expressing the minor 118G allele show lower levels of avoidant attachment and experience more pleasure in social *** imaging research has strengthened the biological plausibility of candidate gene *** avoidance dimension of attachment correlates negatively with muopioid receptor availability in the thalamus and anterior cingulate cortex,as well as the frontal cortex,amygdala,and ***,findings from human studies combined with those from animal models suggest that research on the genetic bases of attachment should include the endogenous opioid system among the investigated variables.

Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)-based control shows enhanced performance in the management of integrated energy systems when compared with Rule-Based Controllers(RBCs),but it still lacks scalability and generalisation due to the necessity of using tailored models for the training *** Learning(TL)is a potential solution to address this ***,existing TL applications in building control have been mostly tested among buildings with similar features,not addressing the need to scale up advanced control in real-world scenarios with diverse energy *** paper assesses the performance of an online heterogeneous TL strategy,comparing it with RBC and offline and online DRL controllers in a simulation setup using EnergyPlus and *** study tests the transfer in both transductive and inductive settings of a DRL policy designed to manage a chiller coupled with a Thermal Energy Storage(TES).The control policy is pre-trained on a source building and transferred to various target buildings characterised by an integrated energy system including photovoltaic and battery energy storage systems,different building envelope features,occupancy schedule and boundary conditions(e.g.,weather and price signal).The TL approach incorporates model slicing,imitation learning and fine-tuning to handle diverse state spaces and reward functions between source and target *** show that the proposed methodology leads to a reduction of 10% in electricity cost and between 10% and 40% in the mean value of the daily average temperature violation rate compared to RBC and online DRL ***,online TL maximises self-sufficiency and self-consumption by 9% and 11% with respect to ***,online TL achieves worse performance compared to offline DRL in either transductive or inductive ***,offline Deep Reinforcement Learning(DRL)agents should be trained at least for 15 episodes to reach the same level of performance as the online

One of the main problems in particle physics is to understand the origin and nature of dark matter. An exciting possibility is to consider that dark matter belongs to a new complex but hidden sector. in this paper, we assume the existence of a strongly interacting dark sector consisting of a new scalar doublet and new vector resonances,in accordance with the model recently proposed by our group. Since it was found in the previous work that it is very challenging to find the new vector resonances at the LHC, here we study the possibility of finding them at the future Compact Linear Collider(CLiC) running at■= 3 TeV. We consider two distinct scenarios. in the first, when the non-standard scalars are heavy, the dark resonance is intense enough to make its discovery possible at CLiC when the resonance mass is in the range [2000, 3000] GeV. in the second scenario, when the non-standard scalars are light, the new vector boson is too broad to be recognized as a resonance, and is not detectable except when the mass of the scalars is close to(but smaller than) half of the resonance mass and the scale of the dark sector is high. in all positive cases, less than a tenth of the maximum integrated luminosity is needed to reach the discovery level. Finally, we also comment on the mono-Z production.

in this paper we focus on the target capturing problem for a swarm of agents modelled as double integrators in any finite space *** agent knows the relative position of the target and has only an estimation of its velocity and *** that the estimation errors are bounded by some known values,it is possible to design a control law that ensures that agents enter a user-defined ellipsoidal ring around the moving *** know the relative position of the other members whose distance is smaller than a common detection ***,in the case of no uncertainty about target data and homogeneous agents,we show how the swarm can reach a static configuration around the moving *** simulations are reported to show the effectiveness of the proposed strategy.

Systematic analysis of the epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)pathway revealed that biomarkers could be used to predict the response to and outcome of antiEGFR therapies in patients affected by metastatic colorectal *** have conducted a review on the most recent findings and advances on this *** this aim,we searched the PubMed database for articles devoted to predictive and prognostic biomarkers for patients administered cetuximab-and panitumumab-based *** we review the state of the art and the controversies about the molecular factors known to be predictors of the efficacy of anti-EGFR therapy,namely,KRAS,BRAF,NRAS,Pi3KCA and PTEN,and we discuss their prognostic value in colorectal cancer patients.
