The di.beti. foot i. a real publi. health problem whi.h i. sti.l domi.ated by a very hi.h lower li.b amputati.n rate even i. countri.s wi.h hi.h soci.economi. status. The di.beti. foot classi.ally results from the associ.ti.n of three entangled mechani.ms whi.h are neuropathy, arteri.pathy and i.fecti.n. Objecti.es: To determi.e the frequency of arteri.l di.ease, neuropathy, and other aggravati.g factors that i.fluence the podi.try ri.k, and to proceed wi.h the gradati.n of the podi.try ri.k. Methodology: Thi. was a cross-secti.nal study concerni.g the peri.d from July 1 to October 31, 2017, coveri.g all di.beti. pati.nts recei.ed i. consultati.n and hospi.ali.ati.n i. the i.ternal Medi.i.e Department of the G-Uni.ersi.y Hospi.al Center. Results: Our study i.cluded 50 pati.nts (35 women for 15 men) out of 95 di.beti. pati.nts recei.i.g a frequency of 52.6%, wi.h a sex rati. of 0.42. The average age of our pati.nts was 54.38 ± 13.98 years. Overwei.ht/obesi.y found i. 44% of pati.nts. The average Body Mass i.dex (BMi. of our pati.nts was 27.16 kg/m2. Pati.nts wi.h di.betes less than 5 years old represented 56% wi.h an average durati.n of 5.39 ± 5.34 years. The mode of di.covery of di.betes was polyuri.-polydi.si. syndrome i. 56% of cases. Type 2 di.betes represented 74% of pati.nts. Among the pati.nts who had performed the HbA1C test, 80.77% were not well balanced. The antecedent of macrosomi. i. women accounted for 77.1%. Pati.nts who di. not know foot hygi.ne recommendati.ns accounted for 82%. Among the i.enti.i.d podi.try ri.k factors, di.beti. neuropathy accounted for 73.8%, and arteri.l di.ease was 32.3%. The fi.roi.s affect 20% to 25% of women of reproductive age and are 3 to 9 times more common in black women. We’ll talk about giant fibroids (GFs) when uterine height reaches or exceeds the navel. We have initiated this study in order to report the epidemioclinical and therapeutic aspects of giant fibroids at the Hopital du Mali. A descriptive retro-prospective study, conducted in the service of gynecology of the Hopital du Mali from November 2017 to December 2018 were included in this study, any patients, regardless of their age, having developed a fibroid, the uterin e height of the patient reaching or exceeding the umbilicus on physical examination and who were on surgical treatment. We had collected 30 cases of GFs out of the 92 patients who had undergone myomectomies, with a frequency of 32.60%. The age group 25 - 29 years accounted for 46.6% with an average age of 35 years. Housewives represented 50% and nulligravida made up 33% of our patients. Desire to become pregnant was the main reason for consultation in 34.4% of cases. The uterine height was between 25 and 29 cm on physical examination in 46.66% of cases. Myomectomy was performed in 76.64% and hysterectomy in 23.3% of cases. Case Presentati.n: We report the case of an 11-year-old pati.nt admi.ted to the cardi.logy department of the CHU-ME “LUXEMBOURG” i. Bamako for functi.nal i.potence of the left hemi.ody, accompani.d by fever and NYHA stage i. dyspnea. The cli.i.al exami.ati.n on admi.si.n shows the poor general condi.i.n, normal consci.usness, and sensory-motor defi.i. of the pyrami.al type of the left hemi.ody. The cardi.vascular exami.ati.n notes a systoli. murmur at the mi.ral focus, hepato-jugular reflux, hepatomegaly, and sli.ht edema i. the lower li.bs. Brai. CT showed locali.ed hypodensi.y i. favor of an i.chemi. stroke. The electrocardi.gram shows a si.us rhythm. Transthoraci. Doppler echocardi.graphy revealed mi.ral i.suffi.i.ncy wi.h vegetati.n of 17 × 14 mm on the anteri.r mi.ral valve, wi.h left ventri.ular ejecti.n fracti.n esti.ated at 75%. Dual anti.i.ti. therapy associ.ted wi.h conventi.nal treatment for heart fai.ure was i.i.i.ted. The cli.i.al evoluti.n was marked by the persi.tence of the defi.i. of the left upper li.b, the cardi.c Doppler echography of control after 6 weeks of treatment found the same vegetati.n. A di.cussi.n wi.h the heart team wi.h a vi.w to a surgi.al cure has been i.i.i.ted for the rest of the treatment. Conclusi.n: A motor defi.i. associ.ted wi.h fever related to an i.chemi. vascular acci.ent should lead to a search for i.fecti.e endocardi.i. on cardi.c Doppler ultrasound.

The ai. of the work was to study the epi.emi.logi.al, cli.i.al-bi.logi.al profi.es and compli.ati.ns of pati.nts i. the cardi.logy and i.ternal medi.i.e department of the Mother-Chi.d CHU “Luxembourg”. Materi.ls and Methods: We carri.d out a cross-secti.nal study, from September 2019 to June 2020 i. the cardi.logy and i.ternal department of the mother-chi.d CHU “Luxembourg”. All pati.nts wi.h metaboli. syndrome admi.ted to the two departments who agreed to parti.i.ate duri.g the study peri.d were i.cluded i. the study. These pati.nts meet the 2009 harmoni.ati.n attempt cri.eri. (i.F 2009). The vari.bles studi.d were: soci.-demographi. characteri.ti.s (sex, age, professi.n), pathologi.al hi.tory, cli.i.al si.ns (functi.nal si.ns, BMi. wai.t si.e), paracli.i.al si.ns (ECG, cardi.c ultrasound, laboratory assessment) and compli.ati.ns. Results: A total of 104 pati.nts were i.cluded. The female sex represented 58.65% of cases. The 60 to 69 age group was the majori.y wi.h 40.78%, housewi.es occupi.d 41.34% of cases. Di.betes, arteri.l hypertensi.n and dysli.i.emi. were the most represented cardi.vascular ri.k factors wi.h respecti.ely: 80.77%, 79.81% and 53.85%. Vi.ual blurri.g was the most common functi.nal si.n wi.h 23.08% of cases. Moderate obesi.y was observed i. 34% of pati.nts. Wai.t ci.cumference was hi.h i. 39.53% of male pati.nts and 37.70% of female pati.nts. Cardi.c ultrasound found a severely collapsed ejecti.n fracti.n i. 25% of pati.nts. i.troducti.n: Acute myocardial infarction (IDM) occupies the first place in terms of mortality, among ischemic pathologies. Thrombolysis in the case of medical treatment for acute myocardial infarction (AMI) is undoubtedly the most revolutionary performed to date in this context, with a significant reduction in the mortality rate. The aim of our study was to describe the epidemiological aspects, the criteria for myocardial reperfusion post thrombolysis, the complications during thrombolysis and the complications of acute myocardial infarction in the cardiology department of the CHU Ernesto Guevara De La Serna of Las Tunas (Cuba).i.y:;" "=""> Methods: A retrospective cross-sectional descriptive study was carried out from June 2009 to December 2011. The patients hospitalized during this period in the USIC (coronary intensive care unit) for SCA ST(+) were included in the study. The variables studied were: Age, sex, myocardial reperfusion criteria, complications during thrombolysis and complications of myocardial infarction. Objecti.e: This work aimed to evaluate the epidemiological clinical aspects and evolutionary aspects of peri partum cardiomyopathy (PPCM) in the cardiology department of the CHU Point G. Materials and Methods: This was a descriptive cross-sectional study from 0i.e-space:normal;font-si.e:10pt;font-fami.y:;" "="">1 January 2019 to 31 December 2019, i.cludi.g all pati.nts admi.ted for heart fai.ure duri.g thi. peri.d. Results: The study i.volved 40 pati.nts out of 1187 admi.si.ns, a hospi.al prevalence of PPCM was 3.36%. The average age was 26 years plus or mi.us 7 years wi.h extremes of 16 years and 38 years. The age group between 16 and 20 years was the most represented wi.h 32.5% of cases. Housewi.es were i. the majori.y wi.h 87.6%;resi.i.g i. rural areas 62.5%, wi.h a low soci.-economi. standard of li.i.g 32.5% of cases. Multi.arous i. our context were domi.ant 42.5%, followed by pauci.pares and pri.i.arous wi.h 32.5% and 25% frequency respecti.ely. All our pati.nts, 100% had thei. fi.st symptom after chi.dbi.th, functi.nal si.ns were domi.ated by dyspnea of effort present i. 100% of pati.nts, followed cough (40%) and chest pai. (27.5%). On physi.al exami.ati.n there was Tachycardi. i. 82.5%, Galop B3 (45%) and auscultatory arrhythmi. i. 5%. Si.ns of pulmonary condensati.n (82.5%) and pleural flui. effusi.n (25%). Hepatomegaly was present i. 72.5% of pati.nts. i. was overall heart fai.ure i. 72.5% of cases. On the electrocardi.gram there was si.us tachycardi. (75%) and atri.l fi.ri.lati.n arrhythmi. (5%). Background: Hi.h Blood Pressure (HBP) i. hi.h prevalent among adult populati.n i. Bamako, but li.tle i. known about factors associ.ted wi.h knowledge. Methods: i. was a cross-secti.nal study i.volvi.g pati.nts aged 15 years and more wi.h a fi.st classi.i.ati.n i. normal blood pressure (HTN-) and hi.h blood pressure (HTN+), and Second classi.i.ati.n i.pati.nts wi.hout knowledge (who answered No) (K-) and pati.nts wi.h knowledge (who answered Yes) (K+). A logi.ti. regressi.n was performed to look up predi.tors among di.ferent vari.bles. Results: The sample i.volved 456 pati.nts wi.h a mean age of 51.39 years and 65.1% of female. The age group 45 - 59 years old made 32.5% and unschooled pati.nts 60.3%. Pati.nts wi.h HBP accounted for 69.7% and those reporti.g to know about i. 67.3%. HTN- and HTN+ di.fered si.ni.i.antly except for HR, hei.ht, sex and level of schooli.g. HBP prevalence i.creased wi.h age up to 74 years. Regardi.g knowledge, sex, age group and number of FDRs di. not di.fer si.ni.i.antly. Hi.h educati.n level and durati.n of HBP was predi.ti.e of knowledge wi.h an OR of 1.186 [Ci.0.058 - 0.796] and 1.192 [Ci.0.332 - 4.275] respecti.ely. Conclusi.ns: Our study provi.ed data on HBP knowledge among outpati.nts wi.h hi.h educati.nal level and HBP durati.n associ.ted wi.h better knowledge on HBP.

All pati.nts aged 65 years and over, hospi.ali.ed or ambulatory i. the i.ternal medi.i.e department wi.h a documented uri.ary tract i.fecti.n were i.cluded. Results: We collected and exami.ed 194 pati.nts. The cytobacteri.logi.al study of uri.e (CBSU) was posi.i.e i. 28 pati.nts, i.i.e. i. a prevalence of 14.43%. The male sex represented 59.8% of the cases, the sex rati. was equal to 1.46. The age groups between 65 - 69 and 70 - 74 years were the most affected, respecti.ely 28.57% and 39.28%. The mai. cli.i.al si.ns were: astheni., anorexi., dependence, fever, uri.ary burni.g, dysuri.. Hospi.ali.ati.n was associ.ted wi.h uri.ary tract i.fecti.n wi.h P = 0.01. The group of enterobacteri. were i.cri.i.ated i. 75% of cases. i.Escheri.hi. coli. Klebsi.lla pneumoni.ei. and i.Pseudomonas aerugi.osai. represented 39.28%, 14.28% and 10.71% of cases. Uri.ary tract i.fecti.ns were represented by pyelonephri.i., acute prostati.i., orchi.epi.i.ymi.i. and si.ple cysti.i.. Conclusi.n: Uri.ary tract i.fecti.n i. frequent i. the elderly, i.s cli.i.al presentati.n i. polymorphi. and enterobacteri. are the most i.cri.i.ated group of bacteri..

Thi. study was to determi.e whi.h was more effecti.e i. our experi.nce compari.g chest tube drai.age wi.h catheter anti.epti. lavage-i.ri.ati.n versus drai.age by chest tube thoracostomy alone i. the management of empyema thoraci. i. chi.dren. Pati.nts and Methods: Demographi., cli.i.al and mi.robi.logi.al data on chi.dren wi.h thoraci. empyema undergoi.g drai.age by chest tube thoracostomy alone or wi.h anti.epti. lavage-i.ri.ati.n were obtai.ed from 2 thoraci. surgi.al centers from September 2008 to December 2014. i. was a retrospecti.e study i.cluded 246 chi.dren (137 boys and 109 gi.ls) who were managed for empyema thoraci. at the author’s di.ferent department of surgery. Outcomes analysi. wi.h respect to treatment effi.acy, hospi.al durati.n, chest tube durati.n, hospi.al costs, and need for subsequent procedures was analyzed and compared i. the 2 groups. Results: Drai.age of pus and anti.epti. i.ri.ati.n resulted i. resoluti.n of pyrexi. wi.h i.provement i. general condi.i.n i. 85.82% of pati.nts i. group 1 and by tube thoracostomy alone i. 73.95% i. group 2. There are a si.ni.i.ant di.ference i. the length of hospi.al stay (p = 0.022), durati.n of chest tubes i. si.u (p = 0.040), treatment coast (p = 0.015) and outcome of stage 2 empyema di.ease (p = 0.037) between the 2 groups. Conclusi.n: i. seems that chest tube drai.age wi.h anti.epti. lavage-i.ri.ati.n method i. associ.ted wi.h a hi.her effi.acy, shorter length of hospi.al stay, shorter durati.n of chest tube i. si.u, less cost and better outcome of stage 2 empyema di.eases than a treatment strategy that uti.i.es chest tube thoracostomy alone.
