We present the case of a 39-year-old pati.nt admi.ted for a slow thoraci. spi.al cord compressi.n syndrome associ.ted wi.h lumbar rachi.lgi.. CT scan and MRi.of the thoraci. spi.e showed lysi. of T4, T5, T6 and T7 vertebrae, an epi.uri.i. and paravertebral abscesses. CT scan of the lumbar spi.e demonstrated osteolysi. of the left i.i.c wi.g wi.h ski. i.vasi.n. Thi. lesi.n i.fi.trated the sacrum and the body of L5. The i.i.c lesi.n was bi.psi.d and the analysi. revealed a granulomatous ostei.i. caused by Hi.toplasma duboi.i.. The treatment consi.ted of ketoconazole 400 mg dai.y for si. months. Spi.al decompressi.e surgery was not performed. Followi.g anti.ungal treatment the pati.nt had sati.fyi.g cli.i.al and radi.logi.al outcome. After three years’ follow-up, the cli.i.al course was uneventful. The pati.nt had nei.her symptoms of spi.al cord compressi.n nor si.ns of further locali.ati.ns.

Morel-Lavallée Lesi.ns (MLL), descri.ed i. 1863 by French surgeon Vi.tor-Auguste-Francoi. Morel-Lavallée, are rare posttraumati. closed deglovi.g i.juri.s, occurri.g as a result of tangenti.l sheer forces, i. whi.h the ski. and subcutaneous ti.sue separate abruptly from the underlyi.g deep fasci., causi.g flui. collecti.n wi.h li.uefi.d fat. A 31-year-old poli.eman i.volved i. a road traffi. acci.ent, presented wi.h a gradually expandi.g lumbar swelli.g, whi.h was soft, fluctuant and pai.ful wi.h contused ski.on exami.ati.n. Computed Tomography (CT) scan of the lumbar spi.e revealed a large subcutaneous hematoma on axi.l vi.w, extendi.g from the 12th thoraci. vertebra down to the fi.st sacral vertebra. There was no skeletal lesi.n. The treatment consi.ted of surgi.al exci.i.n/drai.age of the collecti.n followed by conti.uous sucti.n wi.h drai.age tubes for two days. The collecti.n i. completely resolved;the pati.nt made a full recovery and has been asymptomati.. Si.ce there was a hi.tory of blunt trauma and gi.en the nature and the locati.n of the collecti.n over osseous promi.ences, we report thi. rare case of a large posttraumati. lumbar hematoma di.gnosed on cli.i.al and CT scanni.g grounds as a Morel-Lavallée lesi.n. The pati.nt was i.formed that non-i.enti.yi.g i.formati.n from the case would be submi.ted for publi.ati.n, and he provi.ed consent.

To take i.to account the vari.ti.n of the recombi.ati.n veloci.y at the grai. boundari.s, we present i. thi. paper a new approach of characteri.ati.n of the solar cells, based on the two di.ensi.nal fi.i.e element method. The results of thi. study on a bi.aci.l polycrystalli.e si.i.on solar cell, modelled i. the rectangular form, hi.hli.hti.g the effects of the boundary recombi.ati.n veloci.y (Sgb) on the solar cell electri.al parameters. The photogenerated excess carri.r’s densi.y, the photocurrent densi.y;the phototovoltage and the current-voltage characteri.ti.s are analyzed, namely. A good agreement wi.h the results gi.en i. the li.erature i. observed.

By use of the conti.ui.y equati.n i. the base of the solar cell mai.tai.ed i. a constant temperature at 300 K, an expressi.n of the excess mi.ori.y carri.rs’ densi.y was determi.ed accordi.g to the appli.d magneti. fi.ld, the base depth and the juncti.n recombi.ati.n veloci.y. From the expressi.n of the mi.ori.y carri.rs’ densi.y, the photoconducti.i.y of the solar cell was deduced and whi.h allowed us to predi.t some recombi.ati.n phenomena, the use of such solar cell i. optoelectroni.s. We present our experi.nce of mi.rosurgi.al treatment of peri.allosal artery aneurysms (PCAA) i. three neurosurgi.al centers i. Abi.jan (i.ory Coast) from 1990 to 2016. Thi. present study ai.ed to evaluate characteri.ti.s of 6 pati.nts wi.h PCAA treated duri.g a 26-year peri.d and to establi.h the rate, cli.i.al nuances, anatomi.al vari.ti.ns and respecti.e mi.rosurgi.al approaches of PCAA i. Abi.jan. We analyzed medi.al fi.es of all 93 pati.nts admi.ted for an i.tracrani.l aneurysm between 1990 and 2016 and focused on the 6 pati.nts who were treated for a PCCA. The mean age of pati.nts was 37 years, half of whom were less than 30 years old. They were 3 men and 3 women. The ti.e from fi.st symptom to admi.si.n was more than 3 days, but less than 16 days. Fi.e out of si. pati.nts had ruptured aneurysms and the cli.i.al condi.i.n on admi.si.n was WFNS grade 0 one pati.nt (16.67%) and WFNS i.i.i.fi.e pati.nts (83.33%). Analysi. of radi.logi.al data revealed Fi.cher grade i. three pati.nts and Fi.cher grade i.i. three pati.nts. A total of 7 PCCA were recorded and they accounted for 6.19% of all i.tracrani.l aneurysms and 9.72% of all anteri.r ci.culati.n aneurysms. Si. out of seven aneurysms (85.71%) were ei.her smaller (2 - 6 mm) or mi.dle si.ed (6 - 15 mm). There was only one (14.29%) gi.nt PCA aneurysm (>25 mm). Accordi.g to the locati.n, two aneurysms (28.57%) were located on the A2 segment of the peri.allosal artery (PCA) and fi.e (71.43%) on the A3 segment of the artery. We found 4 cases of saccular aneurysms (57.14%) and 3 cases of fusi.orm aneurysms (42.86%), two of whi.h were located on A2 segments of the 2 PCA on the same pati.nt (16.67%). We di.n’t fi.d any PCA anatomi.al vari.ti.n associ.ted wi.h any of the 7 aneurysms. Two pati.nts developed peri.perati.e rebleedi.g and i. 1 case a severe preoperati.e hydrocephalus was di.gnosed. The medi.n ti.e from rupture to surgery was 59.5 days wi.h a range of 14 to 180 days. Treatment techni.ues i.cluded 4 cli.pi.g (57
