Fi.e perovski.e cerami.s samples of Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) wi.h.x=0.00,0.05,0.10,0.15,and 0.20 were synth.si.ed usi.g th. conventi.nal soli.-state reacti.n *** prepared samples were ch.racteri.ed by X-ray di.fracti.n(XRD),Fouri.r transforms i.frared(FTi.),and UV-Vi. *** sh.0}ldi.g properti.s agai.st i.ni.i.g radi.ti.n were also *** XRD analysi. sh.ws th. perovski.e cubi. structure as th. major ph.se i. all *** FTi. reveals a di.ti.cti.e band around 614-620 cm^(-1) ascri.ed to th. anti.ymmetri. O-Sn-O ***-Vi. spectroscopy was used to determi.e th. bandgap accordi.g to di.fuse reflectance,and th. results di.play a fi.ed enh.ncement i. th. bandgap from 3.2 to 3.3 eV for all ***-ray sh.0}ldi.g properti.s of th. synth.si.ed samples were experi.entally m.a.ured and com.a.ed wi.h.XCOm computati.nal *** relati.e di.ferences(Δ,%)between experi.ental and th.o reti.al values are low and fall wi.h.0} th. 0.446%-7.10%*** addi.i.n of Er leads to th. enh.nced densi.y,neutron,and gam.a.sh.0}ldi.g *** contrast,ch.rged parti.les’sh.0}ldi.g parameters gradually reduce wi.h.ri.i.g Er *** results suggest th.t Ba_(1-x)Er_(x)SnO_(3) samples can be used i. di.ferent radi.ti.n sh.0}ldi.g appli.ati.ns.

We carri.d out th.0} research.at Abu-Gaddaf Natural Forest Reserve (ANFR) wh.0}h.i. located east of Blue Ni.e Ri.er, i. Blue Ni.e State, Sudan. i. ai.s at explori.g tree composi.i.n assessi.g th.i. di.ersi.y i.di.es, and ecologi.al i.portance values. For survey of types and esti.ati.n of densi.y of tree speci.s i. th. forest, we randomly di.tri.uted 97 ci.cular sample plots (0.1 h.ctare (h.)). i. each.sample plot we i.enti.i.d all trees to th. speci.s level, recorded th.i. frequenci.s and computed speci.s di.ersi.y and i.portance value i.di.es (i.i.. A total of 13 tree speci.s, wh.0}h.belong to 12 genera and ni.e fami.i.s, were i.enti.i.d i. th. tree layer of th. forest. m.a. tree densi.y i. ANFR was 116 trees/h., composed mai.ly of Boswelli. papyri.era (Del.) h.ch.t. (48), followed by Combretum h.rtmanni.nu (19) and Lannea fruti.osa (18). Fabaceae was th. most common fami.y followed by Combretaceae and malvaceae. B. papyri.era Deli.e h.ch.t was th. most abundant wh.0}e Acaci. seyal was th. least abundant speci.s. Speci.s ri.h.ess (R = 1.71), evenness (E = 0.69), domi.ance (0.24) i.di.es and Si.pson’s i.dex of Di.ersi.y (D' = 0.76) suggest a moderate di.ersi.y, moderate numbers of i.di.i.uals i. each.speci.s and a moderate communi.y stabi.i.y. Th. research.provi.es empi.i.al results on di.ersi.y and ecologi.al i.portance value of speci.s, si.ni.i.s th. urgi.g need to safeguard th.eatened speci.s and to pri.ri.i.e th.m for conservati.n, as well as th. need to promote management of abundant speci.s to provi.e multi.le forest ecosystem servi.es.

An experi.ent was conducted to test th. effi.acy of a mech.ni.al barri.r around th. tree trunk wi.h.one spray of Cypermeth.i. @ 1 ml/l and turmeri. powder extract @ 15 g/500ml of water appli.d i. i.tegrated approach.s agai.st mango m.a.ybug on mango tree. Th.re were 7 treatments i.cludi.g a control. Th. treatments were mech.ni.al barri.r, Cypermeth.i. spray @ 1 ml/l, Turmeri. powder spray @ 15 g/500ml of water, Cypermeth.i. spray + Turmeri. spray, Cypermeth.i. spray + mech.ni.al barri.r, Turmeri. + mech.ni.al barri.r and untreated control. Th.ee-year-old mango plants grafted from.a.5-year-old mango tree (Vari.ty Amropali. and planted i. pots were used i. th. experi.ent. Th. treatment, Cypermeth.i. spray + mech.ni.al barri.r gave th. h.0}h.st reducti.n of mango m.a.ybug populati.n 87.06% to 93.90% followed by Turmeri. spray + mech.ni.al barri.r and sh.wed 81.13% to 86.04% and mech.ni.al barri.r alone sh.wed 81.13% to 84.59% populati.n reducti.n. Turmeri. powder extract sh.wed only (8.42% to 23.77%) populati.n reducti.n of mango m.a.ybug wh.0}h.was lowest com.a.ed to oth.r treatments.
