Here, the effects of HSCA and b.undary sli. were fi.st di.ti.gui.hed on the mi.ro-curvature force (MCF) on the seta. Hence, the total MCF i. p.rti.i.ned i.to stati. and dynami. MCFs corresp.ndi.gly. The stati. MCF was found p.op.rti.nal to the HSCA and related wi.h the asymmetry of the mi.ro-meni.cus near the seta. The dynami. MCF, exerti.g on the relati.ely sli.i.g contact li.e, i. aroused b. the b.undary sli.. b.sed on the b.ake-Haynes mechani.m, the dynami. MCF was p.oved i.p.rtant for water walki.g i.sects wi.h legs slower than the mi.i.um wave sp.ed . As i.sects b.ush the water b. laterally swi.gi.g legs b.ckwards, setae on the front si.e of the leg are p.lled and the ones on the b.ck si.e are p.shed to coop.rati.ely p.op.l b.di.s forward. i. they p.0}rce the water surface b. verti.ally swi.gi.g legs downwards, setae on the up.i.e of the legs are p.lled, and the ones on the downsi.e are p.shed to coop.rati.ely ob.ai. a j.mp.0}g force. b.sed on the dep.ndency b.tween the sli. length and shear rate, the dynami. MCF was found correlated wi.h the leg sp.ed U, as , where and are determi.ed b. the di.p.e dep.h. Di.crete p.i.ts on thi. curve could gi.e fi.ted relati.ns as (Suter et al., j. Exp. b.0}l. 200, 2523-2538, 1997). Fi.ally, the axi.l torque on the i.cli.ed and p.rti.lly sub.erged seta was found determi.ed b. the surface tensi.n, contact angle, HSCA, seta wi.th, and ti.t angle. The torque di.ecti.n coi.ci.es wi.h the ori.ntati.n of the sp.0}al grooves of the seta, whi.h encourages us to surmi.e i. i. a mechani.al i.centi.e for the formati.n of the sp.0}al morp.ology of the setae of water stri.ers.

Screeni.g was done for the i.olati.n of effecti.e li.ni. degraders from the forest soi. samp.es, b. p.ovi.i.g li.ni. as a carb.n source through the enri.hment method, whi.h leads to the i.olati.n of 8 effecti.e fungal i.olates among 14 i.olates. Sub.erged fermentati.n was done for the p.oducti.n of li.ni.olyti. enzymes wi.h the effecti.e mi.roorgani.ms b. p.ovi.i.g Gui.i.ol as a carb.n source. The assay of laccase, li.ni. p.roxi.i.e acti.i.y and sp.ci.i. acti.i.y was done after the i.cub.ti.n i.tervals of 2, 4, 6, 7, 8, 10 and 12 days at 27±2℃ under shake culture condi.i.n. p.rti.lly p.ri.i.d p.otei. content was esti.ated b. usi.g Lowry＇s method. p.eurotus sp. and p.anerochaetae chrysosp.ri.m are more effecti.e at the 2nd and 7th days of i.cub.ti.n for the p.oducti.n of laccase and li.ni. p.roxi.ases among the effecti.e i.olates.

A new generati.n of hi.h p.wer laser faci.i.i.s wi.l p.ovi.e laser p.lses wi.h extremely hi.h p.wers of 10 p.tawatt(p.)and even 100 p., cap.b.e of reachi.g i.tensi.i.s of 1023 W/cm^2 i. the laser focus. These ultra-hi.h i.tensi.i.s are nevertheless lower than the Schwi.ger i.tensi.y i.= 2.3×1029 W/cm^2 at whi.h the theory of quantum electrodynami.s(QED) p.edi.ts that a large p.rt of the energy of the laser p.otons wi.l b. transformed to hard Gamma-ray p.otons and even to matter, vi. electron–p.si.ron p.i. p.oducti.n. To enab.e the i.vesti.ati.n of thi. p.ysi.s at the i.tensi.i.s achi.vab.e wi.h the next generati.n of hi.h p.wer laser faci.i.i.s, an ap.roach i.volvi.g the i.teracti.n of two colli.i.g p. laser p.lses i. b.i.g adop.ed.
