Objecti.es. The objecti.es.of thi. work were to des.ri.e the s.ci.-demographi., cli.i.al and prognos.i. characteri.ti.s.of forceps.deli.eri.s.at the materni.y ward of the Donka Nati.nal Teachi.g Hos.i.al of Conakry. Parturi.nts.and Method: Thi. was.a pros.ecti.e and des.ri.ti.e s.udy of all forceps.deli.eri.s.performed at the Donka Nati.nal Hos.i.al materni.y ward over a 6-month peri.d from Apri. 1, 2018 to s.ptember 30, 2018. Res.lts. We performed 90 fetal extracti.ns.by forceps.on 3518 deli.eri.s.i.e. a frequency of 2.55%. The s.ci.-demographi. profi.e of the parturi.nt women was.that of a young pri.i.arous.woman wi.h an average age of 21.20 years.and a full-term pregnancy wi.h an average ges.ati.nal age of 39 weeks.of amenorrhoea. Fore pos.0}i.n vari.ti.s.were the mos. frequent wi.h, i. order of frequency, the fore left occi.i.o-i.i.c (61.3%) and the fore ri.ht occi.i.o-i.i.c (22.22%). Pos.eri.r vari.ti.s.accounted for 15.55% of cas.s. Cli.i.al pelvi.etry s.owed that 88.89% of parturi.nts.had a practi.able pelvi., whi.e 11.11% had a moderately narrow pelvi.. Acute fetal s.fferi.g was.the mos. common i.di.ati.n (55.56%), followed by maternal exhaus.i.n (27.78%) and prolonged expuls.0}n (16.67%). All forceps.were performed by doctors. We noted 8 cas.s.of forceps.fai.ure (8.88%) that requi.ed a ces.rean s.cti.n. Maternal compli.ati.ns.were domi.ated by s.ft ti.s.e les.0}ns. i.cludi.g 7 cas.s.of peri.eal teari.g (7.77%);4 cas.s.of vagi.al teari.g (4.44%);3 cas.s.of cervi.al teari.g (3.33%) and 2 cas.s.of hemorrhage of deli.ery by uteri.e atony (2.22%). No cas.s.of maternal death have been recorded. The majori.y of newborns.had a normal bi.th wei.ht (88.88%) and more than half of newborns.(66.66%) had an Apgar s.ore below 7 out of 10 at the fi.s. mi.ute. By the fi.th mi.ute there was.an i.provement i. Apgar’s.s.ore from an average of 5 to 8 out of 10. Fi.e newborns.di.d, or 5.55%. s.mmary: Es.i.ate the i.ci.ence of endometri.l hyperplas.0} accordi.g to s.ci.-demographi. parameters.and the type of les.0}ns.hi.tologi.al. Methodology: Thi. was.a retros.ecti.e, and 15-year des.ri.ti.e s.udy from January 1, 2000 to December 31, 2014 conducted at the Department of Anatomy and Pathologi.al Cytology of the Nati.nal Hos.i.al Donka i. collaborati.n wi.h the obs.etri. gynecology departments.of the Conakry Uni.ers.0}y Hos.i.al. Res.lts. We collected 296 cas.s.of mali.nant and beni.n endometri.l hyperplas.0} i. 15 years. accounti.g for 37% of all endometri.l bi.ps. curettages.exami.ed. The age group 47 to 56 years.was.the mos. affected (81 cas.s. or 27, 36%. The mean age was.53.6 years.wi.h extremes.of 27 and 83 years. Metrorrhagi. was.the mai. reas.n for cons.ltati.n (206 cas.s., i.e. 69.59%. The s.s.i.i.n of endometri.l hyperplas.0} by phys.0}i.ns.was.the mos. frequently di.gnos.d ci.cums.ance (149 cas.s. or 50.33%. Bi.ps. curettage was.the mos. frequently us.d method (176 cas.s., i. 59.45%. Hi.tologi.al endometri.l les.0}ns.of atypi.al complex adenomatous.hyperplas.0} (79 cas.s. repres.nted 26.69%. Beni.n behavi.r was.mos. frequently obs.rved i. (235 cas.s. or 79.39%. Conclus.0}n: Endometri.l hyperplas.0} i. an endometri.l les.0}n whos. atypi.al hi.tologi.al types.repres.nt the borderli.e les.0}ns.between beni.ni.y and mali.nancy.

Peri.eal trauma i. a non-s.rgi.al s.luti.n of conti.ui.y of pos.eri.r peri.eal commi.ti.g under the effect of a vi.lent exerti.n duri.g chi.dbi.th. i. occurs.at the ti.e of di.engagement, ei.her from the head or the pos.eri.r s.oulder. Objecti.es. To calculate the peri.ea trauma duri.g chi.dbi.th, des.ri.e the s.ci. demographi. profi.e of the women i. chi.dbed, i.enti.y contri.utory effects.and appreci.te the maternal prognos.i.. Methodology: i. was.a pros.ecti.e s.udy, des.ri.ti.e type of 6 months.(from May 19 to November 20, 2014). i. took place at the materni.y ward of Donka Nati.nal Hos.i.al. i. concerned all recei.ed parturi.nt, women i. bed of a s.0}gle fetus.i. the uni. and havi.g had a peri.eum traumati.m. The real ones.were epi.emi.logi., therapeuti. cli.i.al and prognos.i.. Res.lts. We have recorded 110 peri.ea traumati.m cas.s.over 3496 chi.dbi.th let s.y a frequency of 3%. The s.ci. demographi. profi.e of the woman who di. peri.ea traumati.m was.a teenager (42.7%), profes.i.nal occupati.n (29.1%), marri.d (88.2%), s.hooled, s.condary and Techni.al level (42.7%), pri.ary (70%) havi.g had more than 3 prenatal cons.ltati.ns.(73.6%). Contri.utory effects.were: pri. pari.y, young age, i.s.rumental extracti.n by obs.etri.al forceps.and the fetal wei.ht between 2500 to 3999 g. s.rgi.al management was.(100%). The followi.g were s.0}ple i. 88.2% cas.s.vers.s.11. 8% of compli.ati.ns. Conclus.0}n: The reducti.n of thi. frequency reques.s.s.s.emati.al practi.e and corrects.recentered prenatal cons.ltati.ns.and the res.ect of epi.i.tomy i.di.ati.ns.

The ai. of thi. s.udy was.to evaluate the i.fluence of factors.s.ch as.mode of deli.ery, pari.y, type of hous.hold and level of educati.n on the res.mpti.n of s.xuali.y, by compari.g our res.lts.wi.h thos. i. the li.erature. Methods. Thi. i. a pros.ecti.e des.ri.ti.e and analyti.al s.udy, whi.h took place from 3 Apri. to 2 June 2023 i. the materni.y ward of the i.nace Deen Nati.nal Hos.i.al of the Uni.ers.0}y Hos.i.al Centre of Conakry. The s.mple i.cluded marri.d women who had gi.en bi.th once or s.veral ti.es. Res.lts. Of 118 marri.d women who had gi.en bi.th once or s.veral ti.es.and who were ques.i.ned about thei. s.xuali.y i. the pos.partum peri.d, 75.42% (89 cas.s. s.ated that they had res.med s.xual acti.i.y i. the pos.partum peri.d. (The majori.y were aged 20 - 29 years.(46.61%), pauci.pares.(51.69%), li.i.g i. a monogamous.hous.hold (88.14%), wi.h s.condary educati.n (44.92%) and s.lf-employed (38.98%). More than half (58.47%) of thes. women had a normal vagi.al deli.ery wi.h vulvo-peri.eal tear (5.80%), epi.i.tomy (15.94%) and i.s.rumental extracti.n (8.69%). The mai. reas.ns.for res.mi.g s.xual acti.i.y were the des.0}e to s.ti.fy thei. partner (50.56%) and to mai.tai. the harmony of the couple (29.21%). Res.mpti.n of s.xual acti.i.y was.more common i. pati.nts.who had gi.en bi.th by caes.rean s.cti.n (p = 0.007) and i. pati.nts.wi.h a hi.her level of educati.n (p = 0.03). However, i. was.not i.fluenced by pari.y or hous.hold type. Conclus.0}n: s.xuali.y remai.s.a taboo s.bject, and i.s.res.rgence i. the pos.partum peri.d i. i.fluenced by the mode of deli.ery and the level of educati.n and percepti.n of women. Acute and s.vere compli.ati.ns.are noted, i.cludi.g mali.nant malari. acces. and maternal and fetal mortali.y. Method: Thi. was.a three-month des.ri.ti.e and analyti.al multi.enter s.udy, runni.g from 1s. January to 31s. March 2015, conducted i. 16 materni.y hos.i.als.at di.ferent levels.of the health s.s.em pyrami.. Res.lts. Out of a total of 1772 mothers.recrui.ed for thi. s.udy, 276 cas.s.were tes.ed pos.0}i.e (umbi.i.al cordon and newborn’s.heel). Among them, we reported 130 cas.s.tes.ed pos.0}i.e at newborn’s.heel wi.h congeni.al i.fes.ati.n confi.med by s.mpli.g on day 0, wi.h a frequency of 7.3%. The average age of the mothers.was.26 ± 14 years. Wi.h a predomi.ance i. the 20 - 35 age group (4.7%). Among mothers.who were not expos.d to preventi.e i.termi.tent s.lfadoxi.e pyri.ethami.e (i.T/s.) i. malari. preventi.n, 6.1% of newborns.tes.ed pos.0}i.e. Of thes., mothers.who had les. than 4 prenatal vi.i.s.duri.g pregnancy had a congeni.al malari. rate of 7.3%. Conclus.0}n: Congeni.al malari. i.fes.ati.n exi.ts.i. newborns.des.i.e adequate meas.res.us.d i. pregnant women (s., anti.alari.l drugs.. i. Gui.ea, i. i. often found i. newborns.of mothers.who s.ffer from malari. duri.g pregnancy and whos. prenatal cares.are not regular.

The objecti.es.of the s.udy were to calculate the frequency of uteri.e fi.romyomas. des.ri.e the s.ci.-demographi. characteri.ti.s.of pati.nts. i.enti.y the mai. cli.i.al data and to des.ri.e the modali.i.s.of s.rgi.al management.?Pati.nts.and Method:?i. was.a mi.ed des.ri.ti.e s.udy, cumulati.e over a peri.d of 5 years.(60 months. wi.h data collecti.n i. two phas.s. a 4-year retros.ecti.e s.udy from January 1, 2015 to December 31, 2018 and a 1-year pros.ecti.e s.udy from January 1, 2019 to December 31, 2019.?Res.lts. We collected 135 cas.s.of uteri.e fi.romyomas.operated on out of a total of 260 cas.s.of gynaecologi.al pathologi.s. i.e.?a frequency of 51.92%.?Nulli.arous.women were the mos. concerned (45.18%), and women who attended s.hool (60%) and thos. who di. not attend s.hool (40%). Women at home and hous.wi.es.accounted for 42.20% and 54.07% res.ecti.ely. Cli.i.ally, the ci.cums.ances.of di.covery were domi.ated by menometrorrhagi. and menorrhagi. res.ecti.ely 77.77% and 68.14%. The large uterus.was.the mos. frequent phys.0}al s.0}n found i. 96.29% of cas.s. Uteri.e fi.romyomas.were recorded i. 86.6% of cas.s.i. women wi.h geni.al acti.i.y. The operati.e i.di.ati.ns.were domi.ated by the large polymyomatous.uterus.(64.44%), followed by hemorrhagi. fi.roma (18.52%).?The s.rgi.al treatment was.cons.rvati.e i. 92.60%. The total hys.erectomy performed i. 7.40.?Lethali.y was.1.4%.?Conclus.0}n: The s.rgi.al management of fi.roi.s.contras.s.cons.rvati.e treatment (myomectomy) wi.h radi.al treatment (hys.erectomy) wi.h multi.le pos.i.le approaches.(hys.eros.opy, vagi.al s.rgery, laparos.opy or laparotomy). i. our context, only laparotomy was.pos.i.le due to lack of equi.ment. Afri.a, and parti.ularly i. s.negal, epi.emi.logi.al s.udi.s.focus.0}g exclus.0}ely on pos.partum depres.i.n are rare or non-exi.tent. For thi. reas.n, we conducted thi. s.reeni.g s.udy on pos.partum depres.i.n to as.es. the s.ci.-demographi. characteri.ti.s.and as.oci.ted factors. Methods. Thi. was.a pros.ecti.e cros.- s.cti.nal s.udy wi.h des.ri.ti.e and analyti.al ai.s. i. was.carri.d out i. the twelve Dakar referral health centres.duri.g the peri.d Augus. 2021 to June 2022. Res.lts. At the end of our s.rvey we had recrui.ed one hundred and twenty-two (122) parti.i.ants.wi.h a PPD prevalence rate of 25.41%. The mos. common age group was.24 - 29 years. 40% of the parti.i.ants.were of Fulani.ethni.i.y, followed by Wolof. Marri.d women made up 93% of the s.mple. The s.hool enrolment rate was.89%. Mos. parti.i.ants.were not i. pai. employment. Domes.i. vi.lence was.pres.nt i. 14% of couples. 28% of mothers.reported experi.nci.g a s.res.ful li.e event duri.g thei. pregnancy. 22% of the women had a chroni. medi.al condi.i.n, of whi.h 55% had hi.h blood pres.ure. 1% of the women reported a pers.nal ps.chi.tri. hi.tory and 5% a fami.y ps.chi.tri. hi.tory. Mos. women had between two and four healthy li.i.g chi.dren. The pregnancy was.unwanted i. 17% of cas.s.and 12% of parti.i.ants.had a compli.ati.n. 6% were di.s.ti.fi.d wi.h the quali.y of thei. antenatal care.
