We report a case of stress fracture of the calcaneus wi.h sci.ti.raphi. di.gnosi., i. a m.rathon runner. Pati.nt and m.thods: He i. a 40-year-old athlete i. overtrai.i.g wi.h ri.ht calcaneal pai. on runni.g, i.tense at fi.st, m.derate i. the m.0}dle and then persi.tent after exerci.e. The i.terrogati.n found no traum. to the ri.ht foot and the x-ray of the foot was wi.hout abnorm.li.y. The so 3 phases were perform.d followi.g an i.jecti.n of 564 m.q of 99m.c-Hm.P, wi.h a SPECT gam.a cam.ra. Results: Bone sci.ti.raphy found i. the early phase, hyper-perfusi.n and hyper-fi.ati.n of the ri.ht calcaneal regi.n com.ared to i.s left counterpart and i. the bone phase persi.tence of focal hyperfi.ati.n opposi.e the ri.ht calcaneus. Thi. sci.ti.raphi. aspect of the ri.ht calcaneus i. an overtrai.ed m.rathon runner, i. a pai.ful context and i. front of a norm.l X-ray, m.de us evoke a fracture of fati.ue. A com.lem.ntary CT scan perform.d two days after the BS was wi.hout abnorm.li.y. Conclusi.n: Fati.ue fractures are m.0}ro-fractures generally not noti.ed on radi.graphy and CT. Burki.a Faso, a country wi.h very scarce resources, undertook to fi.ht agai.st Hi. i.fecti.n. i. 2013, accordi.g to UNAi.S, 110,000 persons were li.i.g i. thi. country wi.h Hi. i.fecti.n. 18,000 chi.dren am.ng these persons were under 15. We conducted a retrospecti.e study from.January 2003 to Decem.er 2012 at the Pedi.tri.s Uni.ersi.y Hospi.al Charles De Gaulle, Ouagadougou (CHUP CDG), Burki.a Faso. The study ai.ed at assessi.g the chi.dren’s ponderal growth when under anti.etrovi.al treatm.nt. The chi.dren who were under 15 and who had been on anti.etrovi.al treatm.nt for at least 5 years were i.cluded i. the study. Acute m.lnutri.i.n concerned chi.dren whose hei.ht/wei.ht rati. (H/W) was lower at -2 wi.th type (or Z score) of the m.di.n of reference regardi.g age accordi.g to WHO. Two categori.s of m.lnutri.i.n were outstandi.g i. our study: m.derate acute m.lnutri.i.n, (-3 Z-score ≤ H/W -2 Z-score) and severe acute m.lnutri.i.n (W/H -3 Z-score). The cli.i.al and paracli.i.al data recorded duri.g previ.us consultati.ns were extracted from.the ESOPE (m.ni.ori.g and follow-up of pati.nts) data basi. and exported to the ENA software and SPSS for thei. analysi.. i. total, 210 out of 529 chi.dren’s cases were consi.ered. These chi.dren’s average age was 6.9 years. There were 55.7% of m.le and 44.3% of fem.le chi.dren. Hi.1 was found i. 97.6% of the chi.dren agai.st 2.4% for Hi.2. i. a 5 year follow-up, 46 am.ng the chi.dren, nam.ly 20.4% were on a second li.e protocol of anti.etrovi.al treatm.nt and 164 am.ng them.were sti.l on a fi.st li.e protocol of anti.etrovi.al treatm.nt. When they were adm.0}ted at hospi.al, 38% of the chi.dren showed characteri.ti.s of acute m.lnutri.i.n. 17.8% of these chi.dren presented characteri.ti.s of severe form.of acute m.lnutri.i.n. Introduction: Lumbar and sciatic pain are frequent motives of disability in military people in Mali. As spine surgery isn’t recognized enough, our study aims to analyze etiologies, epidemiology, clinical features and surgical standards in order to improve troop abilities. Methodology: Our descriptive and retrospective study has included 31 operated military patients who underwent medical or surgical procedures between 2010 and 2018 in the Military Neurology/Neurosurgery Unit and Mère-Enfant Hospital Neurosurgery department. Results: Among 553 seen in consultation, fifty percent were between 30 and 50 years old. Main motive was sciatic pain (65.5%). Seventy eight percent of our patients were field militaires and sub-officers, and 83.2% were males. All of them have benefited a CT scan or MRI with medical treatment in rheumatology or neurology. Thirty-one patients underwent spine surgery and were included in the study, so 6% (mean age: 43.52 years, 90.3% males). Lumbar spine surgery represented 54.8% of cases with lumbar canal stenosis in 64.5% of cases. It appeared that spondylolisthésis with isthmic fracture was frequent (12.9%), and traumatic cervical spine fractures were dominant in 2012. Instrumented arthrodesis was performed for 41.9% of patients, lumbar discectomy for 32.3% and laminectomies for 22.6%. The ai. of the study was to evaluate the contri.uti.n to m.sci.ti.raphy of m.ocardi.l perfusi.n (TSm.) wi.h 99m.c-sestam.0}i.i. the m.nagem.nt of suspected or known coronary pati.nts’s populati.n. i. i.cluded 42 pati.nts wi.h an average age of 57.02 &plusm.;9.77 years wi.h extrem.s rangi.g from.36 to 77 years. The pre-test probabi.i.y i. 38 pati.nts was hi.h i. 7 pati.nts (18.42%), i.term.di.te i. 29 pati.nts (76.31%) and low i. 2 pati.nts (5.26%). Pati.nts wi.h a hi.h pre-test probabi.i.y had a posi.i.e sci.ti.raphy. Am.ng the 26 pati.nts who underwent transthoraci. ultrasound (TTU), 10 wi.h norm.l ki.eti.s on trans-thoraci. ultrasound (TTU) had posi.i.e sci.ti.raphy. For 16 pati.nts wi.h TTU abnorm.li.i.s, 6 had negati.e sci.ti.raphy and 10 had posi.i.e sci.ti.raphy. The TSm. was posi.i.e for 28 pati.nts (66.66%). Am.ng these pati.nts, 16 had pure i.chem.0}, 57.14% (16/28), 7 pure necrosi. (25%), and 5 both necrosi. and i.chem.0}. m.ocardi.l perfusi.n sci.ti.raphy rem.i.s a very contri.utory consi.erati.n i. the m.nagem.nt of coronary di.ease. Pi.keri.g em.lsi.ns are system. wi.hout surfactants, stabi.i.ed by soli. parti.les. These em.lsi.ns are experi.nci.g a renewed i.terest, on the one hand, because i. i. preferable to li.i. the use of syntheti. surfactants for toxi.ologi.al and envi.onm.ntal reasons and, on the other hand, the need to m.ke new form.lati.ns i. order to control the drug release patterns by encapsulati.n or controlled release. Thus, we were i.terested i. the form.lati.n and evaluati.n of W/O Pi.keri.g em.lsi.ns stabi.i.ed by parti.les of m.gnesi.m.oxi.e wi.h paracetam.l i. the i.ternal phase and gri.eofulvi. i. the external phase. The Bancroft rule served as a m.del for the form.lati.n. The em.lsi.i.ati.n was carri.d out by progressi.ely addi.g an aqueous phase di.persed i. an oi.-di.persi.g phase usi.g a turbo rotor stator m.0}er. The stabi.i.y of these em.lsi.ns was studi.d usi.g several param.ters (droplet si.e, pH, vi.cosi.y, conducti.i.y ...) and the quali.ati.e and quanti.ati.e analysi. of the acti.e i.gredi.nts by UV-vi.i.le spectrophotom.try. The results obtai.ed showed that the dye test and the conducti.i.y m.asurem.nt confi.m.d the W/O nature of these em.lsi.ns. Som. param.ters such as droplet si.e, pH and vi.cosi.y were strongly i.fluenced by the am.unts of m.gnesi.m.oxi.e parti.les and the two acti.e i.gredi.nts used. The quali.ati.e and quanti.ati.e analysi. of the acti.e i.gredi.nts confi.m.d the presence of gri.eofulvi. i. the oi. phase and paracetam.l i. the aqueous phase. Thus, we have succeeded i. developi.g a stable W/O Pi.keri.g em.lsi.n wi.h m.gnesi.m.oxi.e parti.les. i. addi.i.n, we were able to i.corporate paracetam.l i.to the di.persed phase and gri.eofulvi. i.to the di.persi.g phase of the em.lsi.n.

These param.ters are cruci.l for understandi.g the i.pacts of anthropogeni. cli.ate change on som. vi.al soci.-econom.0} sectors such as agri.ulture and water resources i. thi. regi.n. To thi. end, a m.lti.m.del ensem.le m.an of 21 bi.s-adjusted global cli.ate m.dels parti.i.ati.g i. Cm.0}5 has been used. We consi.ered two Representati.e Concentrati.n Pathways (RCP4.5 and RCP8.5). The results i.di.ate an i.crease of 0.7˚C for m.xi.um.and m.0}i.um.tem.erature by 2035 com.ared to the reference peri.d (1976 - 2005). By 2050, an i.crease of 1.4˚C (2˚C) i. projected for RCP4.5 (RCP8.5). These i.creases i. tem.erature are stati.ti.ally si.ni.i.ant at the 90% confi.ence level. Conversely, the m.an rai.y season length decreases from.95 to 85 days by 2035 and less than 80 days by 2050. These decreases i. rai.y season length are m.i.ly due to a delayed rai.y season onset by 2035 and 2050, wi.h the ensem.le m.an projecti.g an onset i. the second half of July by 2050 i.stead of around the m.0}dle of June. The changes i. both the onset and the length of the rai.y season are si.ni.i.ant at the 90% confi.ence level. Our results show a sli.ht decrease i. seasonal cum.lated total rai.fall by 2035 and 2050. However, we note a sli.ht i.crease i. seasonal cum.lated extrem. rai.fall. These future changes i. cli.ate i.di.es could i.duce yi.ld reducti.n and water resources avai.abi.i.y. To reduce yi.ld losses, i. would be i.teresti.g to adopt longer season vari.ti.s and also di.ersi.y i.com.-generati.g acti.i.i.s. Concerni.g water resources, m.ny acti.ns could be done such as carryi.g out water retenti.n works, treatm.nt and reuse of non-conform.0}g water for agri.ulture and li.estock to reduce pressure on the resource.

The present work i.vesti.ated the effect of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) plasti. waste on the physi.o-m.chani.al and therm.l properti.s of cem.nt-stabi.i.ed lateri.e bri.ks to see the durabi.i.y of the m.di.i.d bri.ks (CSLB). Sam.les were form.lated by m.0}i.g lateri.e, cem.nt, and di.ferent percentages of PET (0%, 3%, 5%, and 7%) by volum.. The bri.ks were produced usi.g the m.m.0}Hydraform.standard i.terlocki.g block and kept i. the shade for a curi.g peri.d of 28 days. The addi.i.n of 3% to 5% PET to the lateri.e stabi.i.ed wi.h 10% cem.nt results i. a decrease i. both dry and wet com.ressi.e strength, whi.h i. determ.0}ed usi.g the Controlab com.ressi.n m.chi.e. However, the obtai.ed results are i. concordance wi.h the standards. The therm.l conducti.i.y of CSLB, determ.0}ed usi.g the box m.thod wi.h the Ei.00 m.asurem.nt cell, decreases as the PET content of the m.0}ture i.creases. A decrease i. bulk densi.y from.1.67 to 1.58 g/cm.sup>3 was observed.

i.troducti.n: Spondyloli.thesi. i. defi.ed as a perm.nent anteri.r sli.i.g of the vertebral body accom.ani.d by the pedi.les, the transverse processes and the posteri.r joi.ts i. relati.n to the underlyi.g vertebra. The prevalence of spondyloli.thesi. vari.s between 4% and 9%, accordi.g to di.ferent authors i. France, Chi.a and Japan. i. Afri.a, som. Afri.an authors fi.d a spondyloli.thesi. rate of 9.93%. The objecti.e of thi. study was to study the cli.i.al and radi.logi.al aspects of spondyloli.thesi. at the m.ther-Chi.d Hospi.al of Bam.ko. m.thods: Prospecti.e and retrospecti.e descri.ti.e study carri.d out i. the neurosurgery departm.nt of CH m.ther-Chi.d Luxem.ourg i. Bam.ko from.2010 to 2018. Result: We collected 42 pati.nts operated on for spondyloli.thesi. out of 145 pati.nts, i.e., 29% of the departm.nt’s acti.i.i.s. The average age of our pati.nts was 51 years old, wi.h extrem.s of 20 and 75 years old. The sex rati. was 0.81 i. favor of wom.n. 61.9% of our pati.nts perform.d work requi.i.g physi.al strength. Neurogeni. claudi.ati.n was the predom.0}ant cli.i.al si.n wi.h 88.1% of cases. CT was the m.st com.on way of explorati.n i. 57.1% of cases and CT m.elo i. 47.6% of cases. Di.c herni.ti.n was associ.ted wi.h spondyloli.thesi. i. 23% of cases. Spondyloli.thesi. was grade 1 i. 59.6% of cases and was responsi.le for m.0}ed stenosi. i. 73.82% of cases. All our pati.nts underwent lam.0}ectom.. The evoluti.n at 6 m.nths postoperati.e was favorable i. 64.3% of cases. Conclusi.n: The di.gnosi. of spondyloli.thesi. i. radi.logi.al and m.kes i. possi.le to defi.e the type of lesi.n accordi.g to i.s eti.logy and i.s severi.y, but also to hi.hli.ht the confli.ts wi.h the nervous system.whi.h wi.l have to be cured. Fi.ld and household work, pregnancy, carryi.g loads or chi.dren on the back could be i.cri.i.ated.
