Patients with suspected OSA were examined using *** were divided into two groups based on the presence of *** was defined as a patient who needed to void at least *** index(AHi)was employed to classify patients according to degrees of severity:AHiiii30 events/h,defined as normal,mild OSA,moderate OSA,and severe OSA,*** variables,PSG parameters,international Prostate Symptom Scores(iPSSs),and quality of life scores due to urinary symptoms were ***:in total 140 patients,114 patients had OSA(48 had mild OSA;34 had moderate OSA;and 32 had severe OSA)and 107 patients had *** total iPSS was significantly higher in nocturia patients in all groups except the group of severe OSA *** the increasing severity of OSA,more correlated factors related to nocturia were *** mild OSA patients,nocturia related to increased age(p=0.025),minimum arterial blood oxygenation saturation(p=0.046),and decreased AHi of non-rapid eye movement(p=0.047),AHi of total sleep time(p=0.010),and desaturation index(p=0.012).in moderate OSA patients,nocturia related to increased age(pime(p=0.025),stage 1 sleep(p=0.033),and sleep latency(p=0.033),and decreased height(p=0.044),weight(p=0.025),and sleep efficiency(p=0.003).in severe OSA patients,nocturia related to increased weight(p=0.011),body mass index(p=0.009),awake time(p=0.008),stage 1 sleep(p=0.040),arousal number(p=0.030),arousal index(p=0.013),periodic limb movement number(p=0.013),and periodic limb movement index(p=0.004),and decreased baseline arterial blood oxygenation saturation(p=0.046).Conclusion:Our study revealed that there were more correlated factors related to nocturia with increasing severity of *** study helps in clinical education and treatment for OSA patients with different severity.

The Ki67 index (Ki) is a standard clinical marker for tumor proliferation;however, its application is hindered by intratumoral heterogeneity. in this study, we used digital image analysis to comprehensively analyze Ki67 heterogeneity and distribution patterns in breast carcinoma. Using Smart Pathology software, we digitized and analyzed 42 excised breast carcinoma Ki67 slides. Boxplots, histograms, and heat maps were generated to illustrate the Ki distribution. We found that 30% of cases (13/42) exhibited discrepancies between global and hotspot Ki when using a 14% Ki threshold for classification. Patients with higher global or hotspot Ki values displayed greater heterogenicity. Ki67 distribution patterns were categorized as randomly distributed (52%, 22/42), peripheral (43%, 18/42), and centered (5%, 2/42). Our sampling simulator indicated analyzing more than 10 high-power fields was typically required to accurately estimate global Ki, with sampling size being correlated with heterogeneity. in conclusion, using digital image analysis in whole-slide images allows for comprehensive Ki67 profile assessment, shedding light on heterogeneity and distribution patterns. This spatial information can facilitate Ki surveys of breast cancer and other malignancies.

BACKGROUND Gallbladder rupture is common in laparoscopic cholecystectomy because the gallbladder is usually in acute or chronic inflammation *** gallstones may sometime be spilled into the peritoneal cavity,resulting in intra-abdominal ab-scess if the gallstones were not *** diagnosis of intra-abdominal ab-scess caused by unretrieved gallstone can usually be correctly identified in the routine imaging studies,such as abdominal ultrasonography or computed tomo-graphy(CT).Here we present a case of abscess formation from unretrieved gall-stone following laparoscopic cholecystectomy,which mimics the imaging findings of metastatic gallbladder *** SUMMARY This case described a 78-year-old man who received laparoscopic cholecystectomy and gallbladder adenocarcinoma was diagnosed after *** adjuvant chemotherapy,the following up abdominal CT showed several small nodules at right upper abdomen and peritoneal carcinomatosis is *** laparoscopic surgery for the excision of seeding tumor was conducted and the pathological diagnosis of the nodules and mass was inflammatory tissues and gallbladder *** Spilled gallstones are a common complication during laparoscopic cholecystectomy and some gallstones fail to be retrieved due to the size or the restricted view of laparoscopic *** spilled gall bladder stones,surgeons may consider regular computerized tomography follow-up,and if necessary,laparoscopic examination can be used as a means of confirming the diagnostic and treatment.

This article studies the transient heat conduction in a slab when passing through various sections of the furnace, and focuses on the thickness of the scale layer formed on the slab. The transient heat conduction behavior of a slab in various sections of the heating furnace is analyzed using the Laplace transformation method, including the pre-heating zone, the first heating zone, the second heating zone, and the soaking zone. The heating pattern of the furnace is then modified to reduce fuel consumption. The simulation results show that the scale layer formed on the slab significantly influences the quality of the hot rolled coil formed, and how the furnace parameters affect the efficiency of the furnace and the quality of the coil.

The purpose of this study is to predict the morphologies in the solidification process for Cu-0.6Cr(mass fraction,%)alloy by vacuum continuous casting(VCC)and verify its accuracy by the observed experimental *** numerical simulation aspect, finite difference(FD)method and modified cellular automaton(MCA)model were used to simulate the macro-temperature field, micro-concentration field,nucleation and grain growth of Cu-0.6Cr alloy using real data from actual casting *** the observed casting experiment,the preliminary grain morphologies are the directional columnar grains by the VCC *** solidification morphologies by MCAFD model are in agreement with the result of actual casting experiment well.

Strain measurement of fiber optic sensor surface bonding on host material

Fiber optic sensor has been widely used as a structural health monitoring device by either embedding into or surface bonding onto the structures. The strain of optic fiber induced by the host material is strongly dependent on the bonding characteristics which include the protective coating, adhesive layer and the length of bonding. The strains between the fiber optics and host structure are not exact the same. The existence of the protective coating and adhesive layer would affect the strain measured by the surface bonding optic sensor. The analytical expression of the strain in the optic fiber induced by the host material was presented. The results were validated by the finite element method. The theoretical predictions reveal that the strain in the optical fiber is lower than the strain of host material. Parametric study shows that a long bonding length and high modulus of protective coating would increase the percentage of strain transferring into the optical fiber. Experiments were conducted by using Mach-Zehnder interferometer to measure the strain of the surface bonding optic fiber induced by the host structure. Good agreements were observed in comparison with the experimental results and theoretical predictions.

A robust adaptive predictor is proposed to solve the time-varying and delay control problem of an overhead crane system with a stereo-vision servo. The predictor is based on the use of a recurrent neural network(RNN) with tapped delays, and is used to supply the real-time signal of the swing angle. There are two types of discrete-time controllers under investigation, i.e., the proportional-integral-derivative(PiD) controller and the sliding controller. Firstly, a design principle of the neural predictor is developed to guarantee the convergence of its swing angle estimation. Then, an improved version of the particle swarm optimization algorithm, the parallel particle swarm optimization(PPSO) method is used to optimize the control parameters of these two types of controllers. Finally, a homemade overhead crane system equipped with the Kinect sensor for the visual servo is used to verify the proposed scheme. Experimental results demonstrate the effectiveness of the approach, which also show the parameter convergence in the predictor.
