Objective:Benign prostatic hyperplasia(BPH)is one of the most common diseases found among elderly *** though multiple risk factors of BPH have been identified in the past,the risk factors which have a direct impact on prostate volume have not been *** this study,we aim to determine the most significant contributing risk factors to prostate volume enlargement by analyzing possible associated risk factors previously ***:This is a quantitative study with an analytical observational design,performed using a retrospective cohort *** sampling was performed on 83 patients who underwent transurethral resection of the prostate(TURP)in Sanglah General Hospital from January to February *** analysis is performed to examine each variable's association with prostate volume followed by a multivariate *** variables were reassessed with path analysis to measure the direct effects,indirect effects,and total effects on prostate ***:Bivariate analysis shows that serum testosterone(R=0.208;p=0.059)and prostate-specific antigen(PSA)level(R=0.626;p=0.001)have a significant association with prostate *** analysis shows that serum PSA(B=1.4;p=0.001;95%confidence interval[95%Ci]=1.039-1.770)and testosterone(B=0.024;p=0.005;95%Ci=0.008-0.041)levels are significant among all the analyzed risk *** is a significant and strong effect of PSA to prostate volume(c=0.636;p=0.001)whereas testosterone has a significant albeit weak effect to prostate volume(c=0.246;p=0.009)based on the total effect of the path ***:Serum testosterone and PSA levels are significantly associated with prostatic volume increase among BPH patients.

Jamu is traditional herbal medicine and a healthy drink considered by some indonesians to be a primary element in their lives. The term ofjamu may be derived from ancient Javanese language ＂Djampi＂ that means a healing method using herb during the era of Ancient Java emerged since the 9th century AD. Jamu is consume either in fresh or in processed one. Some jamu sellers still found carrying their wares, in a basket fastened to their torsos using a sling made of fabric, and visit door to door in local neighborhoods. The name is Jamu gendong. The use of the j amu remains the same as the ancestors did. The visible proof is the use of traditional herbal medicine of various type of ＂medical plants＂, either from the leaves, the fruits, the roots, the flowers or the barks, etc. it is truly back to nature. These herbal medicine had been used since the ancient time up to now, it is largely consumed by people of different levels： lower, middle and upper, in the villages and in the big cities. Jamu as a cultural heritage has a big potential asset of indonesia and is also one of indonsia＇s cultural products based on local resources and the creativity of the nation. indonesia has natural resourses of plants totaling about 30,000 species of flowering plants, which is the third largest in the world after Brazil and Zaire, including 7,000 species of medicinal plants, 940 species one could buy easily readymade jamu packed modernly in the form of powder, pills, capsules, drinking liquid and ointments. Of course there are still jamu shops, which only sell for those have been identified, 283 species are listed as raw materials that are used routinely in the medicine industry. Jamu from time to time has been widely accepted in almost every country in the world. it is not only as a preventive maintenance, but also as a curative treatment for acute and chronic treatment. in the present paper. a numerical model for MAG (metal active gas) arc welding of thin plate has been developed. in MAG arc welding, the electrode wire is melted and supplied into the molten pool intermittently. Accordingly, it is assumed on the modeling that the thermal energy enters the base-plates through two following mechanisms, i.e., direct heating from arc plasma and 'indirect' heating from the deposited metal. in the second part of the paper, MAG arc welding process is numerically-analyzed by using the model. and the calculated weld bead dimension and surface profile have been compared with the experimental MAG welds on steel plate. As the result. it is made clear that the model is capable of predicting the bead profile of thin-plate MAG arc welding, including weld bead with undercutting.

Morel-Lavallée Lesion: A Case Report of a Large Post-Traumatic Subcutaneous Lumbar Hematoma and Literature Review

Morel-Lavallée Lesions (MLL), described in 1863 by French surgeon Victor-Auguste-Francois Morel-Lavallée, are rare posttraumatic closed degloving injuries, occurring as a result of tangential sheer forces, in which the skin and subcutaneous tissue separate abruptly from the underlying deep fascia, causing fluid collection with liquefied fat. A 31-year-old policeman involved in a road traffic accident, presented with a gradually expanding lumbar swelling, which was soft, fluctuant and painful with contused skinon examination. Computed Tomography (CT) scan of the lumbar spine revealed a large subcutaneous hematoma on axial view, extending from the 12th thoracic vertebra down to the first sacral vertebra. There was no skeletal lesion. The treatment consisted of surgical excision/drainage of the collection followed by continuous suction with drainage tubes for two days. The collection is completely resolved;the patient made a full recovery and has been asymptomatic. Since there was a history of blunt trauma and given the nature and the location of the collection over osseous prominences, we report this rare case of a large posttraumatic lumbar hematoma diagnosed on clinical and CT scanning grounds as a Morel-Lavallée lesion. The patient was informed that non-identifying information from the case would be submitted for publication, and he provided consent.

The Relationship between Assessment Skills and Nursing Knowledge

This research aimed to clarify the relationship between nursing students’ levels of structural knowledge and assessment skills. Participants were 17 third-year university students majoring in nursing who participated individually in the experiments. The experiments included a nursing-scene task, free-recall task, and sorting task. Experiments were conducted before and after their clinical practice. Each student’s level of structural knowledge was calculated from the free-recall and sorting task responses, and each student’s assessment skill was calculated from the nursing-scene task responses. Levels of structural knowledge were significantly higher in post-examination compared with pre-examination (p p n = 5) had significantly higher scores for their conclusions and reasons than the low-structured group (n = 5) (p p in the high-structured group seemed to enable them to acquire and activate highly related information during assessment. Students in the high-structured group apparently made assessments not only by using information given but also by over viewing information comprehensively.

Traumatic lumbar spondylolisthesis without facet fracture at L4/L5. A case report and literature review

L4–L5 traumatic spondylolisthesis has been rarely reported in the literature. At lumbar spine level traumatic dislocation lesion realizes“traumatic spondylolisthesis or traumatic bilateral lumbar facet locked syndrome”. The aim of the present paper is to report this rare lesion and discuss its mechanism and management. A case report is followed by Literature review made on Medline and scholar google database from 2000 to 2015. The case report concerned a 33-year-old man, who refused to wear a seat belt, injured his lumbar spine following a motor vehicle accident. L4-L5 spondylolisthesis occurred after the vehicle rolled over several times. Sixteen months after the accident the patient had a favorable outcome. Literature review on Medline and scholar google database from 2000 to 2015 was carried out and five cases of traumatic spondylolisthesis were found. The Sex ratio was 3/2. Surgical treatment consisted of posterolateral interbody fusion. Traumatic lumbar spine spondylolisthesis is rare. When it occurs, it is always associated with vertebral lumbar fracture. L4-L5 traumatic spondylolisthesis was caused by a high-energy mechanism and improper use of seat belt.
