Comparative experiments and theoretical analysis of the surface chemistry changes of goethite(GT)and goethite containing Ni(GTN)in the lattice in the presence of salicylhydroxamic acid(SA)were *** was revealed that in the presence of 100 g·t^(-1)of SA,the flotation recovery of GTN and GT increased with increasing pH,achieving a maximum recovery of 98.9%for both minerals at p H 8.3 and decreasing beyond that pH,with GTN having a slightly higher recovery than GT,except at pH *** was further confirmed by the higher complexation energies of GTN···SA(-883.87 kJ·mol^(-1))compared with GT···SA(-604.23 kJ·mol^(-1))resulting from covalent,closed-shell,and conventional hydrogen *** higher adsorption of SA onto GTN relative to GT was due to the formation of aπ-hole in GTN,thereby promoting a higher interaction of the collector with the ***,the presence of Ni in the GT lattice improves and decreases the adsorption and desorption of SA onto and from the mineral,respectively,compared with those onto and from GT.

This study addresses the liquid-liquid extraction behavior of phosphorus from a sulfuric acid solution using benzyl dimethyl amine(BDMA)in *** extraction equilibria investigated with varied BDMA concentrations could reveal the formation of 3[BDMA]·[H_(3)PO_(4)]^(-)complex in the organic *** thermodynamic properties determined at various temperatures indicated that the process was exothermic with a calculated enthalpy(△H^(Θ))of−24.0 kJ·mol^(−1).The organic-to-aqueous phase(O/A)volume ratio was varied to elucidate the quantitative extraction of *** McCabe-Thiele diagram plotted for the extraction isotherm was validated for the requirement of three counter-current stages in the extraction at an O/A volume ratio of 2.0/*** back-extraction of phosphorus from the loaded organic phase was quantitatively achieved by contacting 4.0 mol·L−1 H2SO4 solution in three stages of counter-current contact at an O/A volume ratio of 3/*** study can be applied to remove phosphorus from the sulfuric acid leach solutions of monazite processing,and many other solutions.

Previous studies reported that specially designed ventilation systems provide good air quality and safe environment by removing airborne droplets that contain viruses expelled by infected *** water droplets can be stable in the environment and remain suspended in air for prolonged *** between droplets may occur and droplet interactions should be ***,the previous studies focused on other physical phenomena(air flow,drag force,evaporation)for droplet transport and neglected droplet *** this work,we used computational fluid dynamics(CFD)to simulate the transport and fate of airborne droplets expelled by an asymptomatic person and considered droplet *** drag with turbulence for prediction of transport and fate of droplets indicated that the turbulence increased the transport of 1μm droplets,whereas it decreased the transport of 50μm *** contrast to only considering drag and turbulence,consideration of droplet interactions tended to increase both the transport and *** the length scale of the office is much larger than the droplet sizes,the droplet interactions,which occurred at the initial stages of release when droplet separation distances were shorter,had a significant effect in droplet fate by considerably manipulating the final locations on surfaces where droplets ***,it is proposed that when an exact prediction of transport and fate is required,especially for high droplet concentrations,the effects of droplet interactions should not be ignored.

Approaches for the fabrication of a low power-operable formaldehyde(HCHO)gas sensor with high sensitivity and selectivity were performed by the utilization of an effective micro-structured platform with a micro-heater to reach high temperature with low heating power as well as by the integration of indium oxide(In2O3)nanofibers decorated with well-dispersed Au nanoparticles as a sensing *** In2O3 nanofibers with the large specific surface area were prepared by the electrospinning following by calcination *** nanoparticles with the well-controlled size as a catalyst were synthesized on the surface of In2O3 *** Au-decorated In2O3 nanofibers were reliably integrated as sensing materials on the bridge-type micro-platform including micro-heaters and *** micro-platform designed to maintain high temperature with low power consumption was fabricated by a microelectromechanical system(MEMS)*** micro-platform gas sensor consisting with Au-In2O3 nanofibers were fabricated effectively to detect HCHO gases with high sensitivity and *** HCHO gas sensing behaviors were schematically studied as a function of the gas concentration,the size of the adsorbed Au nanoparticles,the applied power to raise the temperature of a sensing part and the kind of target gases.

The inadvertent dissolution of gangue minerals is frequently detrimental to the flotation of valuable *** investigated the effect of conditioning time on the separation of brucite and serpentine by *** analyzing the Mg2+concentration,relative element content,and pulp viscosity,we studied the effect of mineral dissolution on brucite *** results of artificially mixed mineral flotation tests(with-10μm serpentine)showed that by extending the conditioning time from 60 to 360 s,a large amount of Mg2+on the mineral surface gradually dissolved into the pulp,resulting in a decreased brucite recovery(from 83.83%to 76.79%)and an increased recovery of serpentine from 52.12%to 64.03%.To analyze the agglomeration behavior of brucite and serpentine,we used scanning electron microscopy,which clearly showed the different adhesion behaviors of different conditioning ***,the total interaction energy,as determined based on the extended DLVO(Derjaguin-Landau-Verwey-Overbeek)theory,also supports the conclusion that the gravitational force between brucite and serpentine increases significantly with increased conditioning time.

Transient ischemia in the whole brain leads to neuronal loss/death in vulnerable brain regions. The striatum, neocortex and hippocampus selectively loose specific neurons after transient ischemia. Just 5 minutes of transient ischemia can cause pyramidal neuronal death in the hippocampal cornu ammonis (CA) 1 field at 4 days after transient ischemia. In this study, we investigated the effects of 5-minute (mild), 15-minute (severe), and 20-minute (lethal) transient ischemia by bilateral common carotid artery occlusion (BCCAO) on behavioral change and neuronal death and gliosis (astrocytosis and microgliosis) in gerbil hippocampal subregions (CA1-3 region and dentate gyrus). We performed spontaneous motor activity test to evaluate gerbil locomotor activity, cresyl violet staining to detect cellular distribution, neuronal nuclei immunohistochemistry to detect neuronal distribution, and Fluoro-Jade B histofluorescence to evaluate neuronal death. We also conducted immunohistochemical staining for glial fibrillary acidic protein and ionized calcium-binding adapter molecule 1 (Ibal) to evaluate astrocytosis and microgliosis, respectively. Animals subjected to 20-minute BCCAO died in at least 2 days. BCCAO for 15 minutes led to pyramidal cell death in hippocampal CA1-3 region 2 days later and granule cell death in hippocampal de匚tate gyrus 5 days later. Similar results were not found in animals subjected to 5-minute BCCAO. Gliosis was much more rapidly and severely progressed in animals subjected to 15-minute BCCAO than in those subjected to 5- minute BCCAO. Our results indicate that neuronal loss in the hippocampal formation following transient ischemia is significantly different according to regions and severity of transient ischemia. The experimental protocol was approved by Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (AICUC) of Kangwon National University (approval No. KW-180124-1) on May 22, 2018.

中国改革开放以后,在针对改善人口过度集中的城市的基础设施和物理环境为主的开发和全面排除的再开发过程中,导致了以政府、开发商为主导的经济建设和居民们为此保障自己的生存权和财产权之间的矛盾。最近,因无视与周边地区协调的乱开发、过分高密度开发等一些无视地域特性的开发引发了周边地域混乱、基础设施不完善和城市景观破坏等副作用。自此,就城市规划或开发的范例而言,开始发生了变化。在如何制定城市规划的决策过程中,城市规划相关信息对市民们公开会引发市民们的关注,在共同商议的过程中会进一步增大与市民们在制定规划方面的接触机会,在规划制定的初期更是市民们实质性参与到其中的重要时期,而且强化公共支援和专家的作用也会为激励城市规划中市民参与贡献力量。结合主要发达国家的市民参与型城市规划的案例中的各种教训和中国的现实情况来看,中国的城市规划过程中,为了激活市民参与,在现行阶段下开始改善,分阶段持续推进是有必要的。例如,我们可以考虑将改善市民参与活性化分为4个阶段。第一是信息提供阶段。随着网络和通讯手段的发展,更进一步向市民提供更容易理解,更方便获知的城市规划信息。第二是市民参与的组织阶段。这阶段是组织城市市民,发展市民参与型协商机制的阶段,市民们决定自己该做的事情并互相共享的阶段。在组成组织的阶段可以获得相关专家和市民团体、相关领域公务员等的帮助,一般进行研讨会等活动,组成市民组织,具体确定市民事业的方向和目标。第三是与市民们协议和协调强化阶段。通过恳谈会、说明会等方式,增加与市民们接触的机会,收集少数集团或市民团体等多样的集团的意见。最后是支援市民和与市民合作阶段。城市规划制定时,应该纳入公共规划者制度、设置运用市民参与支援中心。此外,活用市民咨询团、市民小组论坛等专家小组,制定形成合作性规划体系,为促进市民参与及支援市民参与,还需制定另外的规定和条例。

To examine the effects of Populus tomentiglandulosa(PT) extract on the expressions of antioxidant enzymes and neurotrophic factors in the cornu ammonis 1(CA1) region of the hippocampus at 5 min after inducing transient global cerebral ischemia(TGCI) in gerbils, TGCI was induced by occlusion of common carotid arteries for 5 min. Before ischemic surgery, 200 mg·kg–1 PT extract was orally administrated once daily for 7 d. We performed neuronal nuclear antigen immunohistochemistry and Fluoro-Jade B staining. Furthermore, we determined in situ production of superoxide anion radical, expression levels of SOD1 and SOD2 as antioxidant enzymes and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BDNF) and insulin-like growth factor I(IGF-I) as neurotrophic factors. Pretreatment with 200 mg·kg–1 PT extract prevented neuronal death(loss). Furthermore, pretreatment with 200 mg·kg–1 PT extract significantly inhibited the production of superoxide anion radical, increased expressions of SODs and maintained expressions of BDNF and IGF-I. Such increased expressions of SODs were maintained in the neurons after IRI. In summary, pretreated PT extract can significantly increase levels of SODs and protect the neurons against TGCI, suggesting that PT can be a useful natural agent to protect against TGCI.
