Objective: To classify the evaluation methods for amount of tongue coating(TC) and investigate their reliability, accuracy, and frequency of use. Methods: Articles published from 1985 to 2015 were searched for evaluation methods for the amount of TC in PubMed and the Cochrane Library. Only clinical researches were included except protocol articles. The methods were classi?ed according to their characteristics. Results: Finally,113 articles were selected. The evaluation method for the amount of TC from the articles was classi?ed into 4 types: intuitive, specificative, computerized, and weighing TC. The reliability in the intuitive and specificative methods(κ=0.33–0.92) showed varying levels among the studies. In general, the amount of TC calculated by the speci?cative method(Spearman's r=0.68–0.80) was more strongly related to the directly measured value than to the value estimated by the computerized method(Pearson's r=0.442). The number of articles published on this topic has increased consistently, and the speci?cative method was the most frequently used. Despite the higher reliability of the computerized method, it has not been widely used. Conclusions: The high prevalence of the speci?cative method would continue in clinical practice because of its convenience and accuracy. However,to establish higher reliability, the limitation of the subjectivity of the assessors should be overcome through calibration training. In the computerized method, novel algorithms are needed to obtain a higher accuracy so that it can help the practitioners con?dently estimate the amount of TC.

We report triboelectric nanogenerators （TENGs） composed of a flexible and cost-effective gold-coated conductive textile （CT） to convert wind energy into electricity. The Au-coated CT is employed because of its high surface roughness resulting from Au nanodots distributed on microsized fibers. Thus, the Au-coated CT with nano/microarchitecture plays an important role in enhancing the effective contact area as well as the output performance of the TENG. Moreover, the surface roughness of the Au-coated CT is controlled by adjusting the Au thermal deposition time or tailoring the diameter of the Au nanodots. At an applied wind speed of 10 m.s-1, a wind-based TENG （W-TENG） with dimensions of 75 mm × 12 mm ×25 mm produces an open-circuit voltage （Voc） of - 39 V and a short-circuit current （Isc） of - 3 A by using the airflow-induced vibrations of an optimized Au-coated CT between two flat polydimethylsiloxane （PDMS） layers. To further specify the device performance, the electric output of the W-TENG is analyzed by varying several parameters such as the distance between the PDMS layer and Au-coated CT, applied wind speed, external load resistance, and surface roughness of the PDMS layers. Introducing an inverse micropyramid architecture on the PDMS layers further improves the output performance of the W-TENG, which exhibits the highest Voc （- 49 V） and Isc （- 5μA） values at an applied wind speed of 6.8 m.s-1. Additionally, the reliability of the W-TENG is also tested by measuring its output current during long-term cyclic operation. Furthermore, the rectified output signals observed by the W-TENG device are used as a direct power source to light 45 green commercial light-emitting diodes connected in series and also to charge capacitors （100 and 4.7μF）. Finally, the output performance of the W-TENG device in an actual windy situation is also investigated.

In this work,a novel vacuum-assisted strategy is proposed to homogenously form Metal-organic frameworks within hollow mesoporous carbon nanospheres(HMCSs)via a solid-state *** method is applied to synthesize an ultrafine CoSe2 nanocrystal@N-doped carbon matrix confined within HMCSs(denoted as CoSe2@NC/HMCS)for use as advanced anodes in highperformance potassium-ion batteries(KIBs).The approach involves a solvent-free thermal treatment to form a Co-based zeolitic imidazolate framework(ZIF-67)within the HMCS templates under vacuum conditions and the subsequent *** treatment under vacuum facilitates the infiltration of the cobalt precursor and organic linker into the HMCS and simultaneously transforms them into stable ZIF-67 particles without any *** the subsequent selenization process,the“dual confinement system”,composed of both the N-doped carbon matrix derived from the organic linker and the small-sized pores of HMCS,can effectively suppress the overgrowth of CoSe2 ***,the resulting uniquely structured composite exhibits a stable cycling performance(442 mAh g^−1 at 0.1 A g^−1 after 120 cycles)and excellent rate capability(263 mAh g^−1 at 2.0 A g^−1)as the anode material for KIBs.

This paper proposes a CLHS （Capacitor Less Half sustain） driving method that is applied to a long gap panel to reduce the power consumption. In order to reduce the power consumption in moving images, the luminous efficiency should be improved at the low discharge load （〈25%）. The weight of reactive power consumption tends to increase as the low discharge load decreases. Thus, it is very important to improve the luminous efficiency at low discharge load. It is well known that a long gap panel improves the luminance and the luminous efficiency but it is very difficult to drive the panel due to high driving voltage. It is confirmed that the main factors which cause a long gap panel to increase the minimum driving voltages are not only a long discharge gap but also self-erasing discharge. Self-erasing discharge is generated between the address and sustain electrodes in a sustain period. The CLHS driving method can reduce the reactive power consumption in a sustain period because energy recovery capacitors were removed in the sustain circuit. The CLHS driving method can reduce the minimum driving voltage of the long gap panel because the self-erasing discharge was prevented. When the CLHS driving method was applied to the panel with an ITO gap of 100 μm, Vs and VA minimum voltages are reduced by about 9 V and 12 V compared with those of the normal driving method. The luminance and the luminous efficiency also increased by about 24.3% and 33.3% at the discharge load of 4% compared with those at the normal condition.

Background:The aim of this study is to identify obese children who are candidates for a potential diagnosis of non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD).Methods:We enrolled 242 obese children (122 boys and 120 girls) aged 7-16 years who were examined with abdominal ultrasonography in our pediatric obesity *** compared patients in the normal group with those in the NAFLD group (mild disease,moderate to severe disease) and identified the optimal anthropometric parameters among height,weight,body mass index (BMI),waist circumference,hip circumference,waist to height ratio (WHtR),and waist to hip ratio to predict NAFLD using a receiver operating characteristic curve *** also investigated risk factors associated with NAFLD for the anthropometric parameters and the biochemical model using logistic ***:The high-and low-risk groups for hepatic steatosis relative to a WHtR of 0.56 as the standard point showed significant differences in hepatic steatosis severity grade (Priglycerides (P=0.001),and the triglyceride to high-density lipoprotein (HDL) cholesterol ratio (P=0.006).risk factors for hepatic steatosis on logistic regression analysis were male sex (odds ratio:3.68,95% confidence interval:1.76-7.70),WHtR >0.56 (2.25,1.05-4.81),and waist circumference >90th percentile (20.22,9.21-44.36) in the anthropometric parameter model and elevated alanine aminotransferase levels (boys >25.8 U/L,girls >22.1 U/L) (6.93,2.52-19.03),hypertriglyceridemia (>110 mg/dL) (3.80,1.23-11.75),and triglyceride to HDL cholesterol ratio >3 (9.23,2.95-8.83) in the biochemical parameter ***:A diagnostic approach to hepatic steatosis is recommended as part of the proper screening and stratification of risk factors in obese *** is a simple and convenient method of effectively identifying obese children who are candidates for hep

A new concept of salt core, a melting temperature of which is lower than the solidus temperature of cast alloy,was introduced to produce an integrated casting part having a complicated inner shape or requiring under-cut in high pressure die casting or squeeze casting process. A salt core, named a fusible core in this paper because the salt core can be easily extracted just as holding at a temperature under a solidus temperature of a casting alloy, was developed and applied to produce a fuel control part for automotive GDI engine in high pressure diecasting machine. A different salt material of a lower melting temperature than that of A1 alloy was mixed with a different ceramic particulate to improve a thermo-physical property of fusible core. The thermo-physical property of the fusible core was measured and a weight faction of the ceramic particulate was optimized. The selected core materials were poured in metallic mold by gravity to produce a fusible core for a fuel control part for automotive GDI engine. The fuel control part, which the fusible core was included inside, was successful to fabricate in a conventional diecasting machine with no melting of fusible core during casting.

Bioinspired by Nepenthes, lubricant infused surfaces(LIS) have attracted widespread attention in the field of anticorrosion. However,the lubricant coating has some disadvantages such as complex construction processing and easy loss of oil phase in air or dynamic water phase. In this study, oleogel is infused into a lotus leaf inspired super-hydrophobic matrix to form an oleogel infused surface(OIS) for enhancing corrosion resistance of active Mg-Li alloy. For reserving oleogel, firstly, a facile one-step electrodeposition method is used to construct super-hydrophobic surface(SHS) composed by samarium/myristic acid complex micro-nano flower structure onto Mg-Li *** coating exhibits excellent superhydrophobic property at a static contact angle of 160° by applying 30 V electrolysis for 30 min. The protection efficiency of single SHS highly relates with the metal itself. For short period immersion in water phase, SHS can afford protection to Mg-Li alloy. However, the long-term immersion will see the rapid failure of SHS, and the high activity of Mg-Li alloy is one main *** assume that SHS cannot be a good choice for protecting Mg-Li alloy. Then, a Nepenthes inspired liquid coating is formed by infusing oleogel into the micro-nano structure by a spin-coating method. The liquid coating performs prominent corrosion resistance with Rctreaching as high as 1.51 × 10^(10)Ω cm^(2). After the mechanical damage from the external environment, the liquid coating can realize self-repair through thermal assistance, and the liquid coating can still restore Rctup to 1.24 × 10^(10)Ω cm^(2) after healing. The corrosion resistance of the liquid coating remains strong by showing Rctas high as 1.14 × 10^(9)Ω cm^(2), even after immersion in representative corrosive 3.5 wt% Na Cl solution for 30 d.
