Fexofenadine is useful in various allergic disease ***,the pharmacokinetic variability information and quantitative factor identification of fexofenadine are very *** study aimed to verify the validity of previously proposed genetic factors through fexofenadine population pharmacokinetic modeling and to explore the quantitative correlations affecting the pharmacokinetic *** of the organic-anion-transporting-polypeptide(OATP)1B1 and 2B1 have been proposed to be closely related to fexofenadine pharmacokinetic ***,modeling was performed using fexofenadine oral exposure data according to the OATP1B1-and ***1B1 and 2B1 were identified as effective covariates of clearance(CL/F)and distribution volume(V/F)-CL/F,respectively,in fexofenadine pharmacokinetic ***/F and average steady-state plasma concentration of fexofenadine differed by up to 2.17-and 2.20-folds,respectively,depending on the OATP1B1 *** the individuals with different OATP2B1 polymorphisms,the CL/F and V/F differed by up to 1.73-and 2.00-folds,*** of the areas under the curves following single-and multiple-administrations,and the cumulative ratio were significantly different between OATP1B1-and 2B1-polymorphism *** on quantitative prediction comparison through a model-based approach,OATP1B1 was confirmed to be relatively more important than 2B1 regarding the degree of effect on fexofenadine pharmacokinetic *** on the established pharmacokineticpharmacodynamic relationship,the difference in fexofenadine efficacy according to genetic polymorphisms of OATP1B1 and 2B1 was 1.25-and 0.87-times,respectively,and genetic consideration of OATP1B1 was expected to be important in the pharmacodynamics area as *** population pharmacometrics study will be a very useful starting point for fexofenadine precision medicine.

Augmenting Android Malware Using Conditional Variational Autoencoder for the Malware Family Classification

Recurrence of intratendinous ganglion due to incomplete excision of satellite lesion in the extensor digitorum brevis tendon: A case report

BACKGROUND Intratendious ganglions are rare lesions, especially on the foot and ankle. Although several studies have presented the intratendinous ganglion of the foot and ankle, there are only few reported cases, and no cases of recurrence or secondary surgery have been *** SUMMARY We present the case of a 32-year-old man with an intratendinous ganglion of the second extensor digitorum brevis(EDB) tendon that recurred after ganglion excision. Magnetic resonance imaging(MRI) performed before the first surgery was reviewed to analyze the causes of the recurrence. We confirmed that there was a lack of satellite detection. After recurrence, MRI revealed an extratendinous lesion, tenosynovitis, and intratendinous ganglion of the second EDB tendon. Since the second EDB tendon can compensate for the extrinsic muscle, en bloc resection was performed alone. In addition, meticulous excision and synovectomy were performed for extra-tendinous lesions and tenosynovitis, respectively. The patient returned to daily life without any functional problems or *** If removal of the affected tendon is not fatal, en bloc resection should first be considered to prevent incomplete excision and intraoperative leakage. When planning surgical excision, it is necessary to evaluate the presence of satellite lesions along the course of the affected tendon.

Lithium–sulfur batteries(LSBs)are regarded as promising candidates for the next-generation energy storage devices owing to their high-theoretical capacity(1675 mAh g^(−1))and affordable ***,several limitations of LSBs such as the lithium polysulfide shuttle,large volume expansion,and low electrical conductivity of sulfur need to be resolved for practical *** address these limitations,herein,a multidimensional architectured hybrid(Co@CNT/nG),where Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles are encapsulated into threedimensional(3D)porous N-doped reduced graphene oxide interconnected with carbon nanotube(CNT)branches,is synthesized through a simple pyrolysis *** synergistic effect achieved through the homogeneously distributed and encapsulated Co_(3)O_(4) nanoparticles,the interconnected CNT branches,and the 3D hierarchical porous structure and N-doping of Co@CNT/nG significantly suppresses the shuttle effect of lithium polysulfides and enhances the conversion redox kinetics for the improved sulfur *** validate this effect through various measurements including symmetric cells,Li_(2)S nucleation,shuttle currents,Tafel slopes,diffusion coefficients,and post-mortem ***,Co@CNT/nG-70S-based LSB cells achieve a high-specific capacity of 1193.1 mAh g^(−1) at 0.1 C and a low capacity decay rate of 0.030%per cycle for 700 cycles at 5 C,delivering a high areal capacity of 5.62 mAh cm^(−2) even with a loading of 6.5 mg cm^(−2).

BACKGROUND Accessory soleus muscle(ASM)is a rare congenital variation that is almost asymptomatic,but several papers have recently described symptomatic *** clinical features of this condition are similar to tarsal tunnel syndrome(TTS)and include pain and numbness around the medial side of the *** commonly originates from the fibula or soleus muscle and inserts into the Achilles tendon or ***,it is identified as posteromedial swelling and definitely diagnosed by magnetic resonance *** most cases,treatment is observation,but surgical excision can be considered if symptoms are *** SUMMARY A 23-year-old male korean soldier presented with complaints of bilateral foot and ankle pain and a swelling medial to the Achilles tendon that was more pronounced on the right *** first occurred after playing soccer 10 mo before this presentation,worsened after physical exertion,and were relieved by *** had no medical history,and no one in his family had the *** results were *** tests were performed to exclude common diseases such as tumors or ***,MRI revealed a bulky accessory soleus muscle in both feet,though the patient complained of more severe pain on the right side during physical ***,surgical resection was *** surgery,a large accessory soleus muscle was noted anterior to the Achilles tendon with distinctive insertion from a normal soleus *** 12 mo after surgery,there was no pain,numbness,or swelling of the right foot or ankle,no evidence of recurrence,and the patient could do all sports *** Accessory soleus muscle should be added to the list of differential diagnosis if a patient has pain,sole numbness or swelling of the posteromedial ankle.

Reciprocal inhibition of expression between RAV1 and BES1 modulates plant growth and development in Arabidopsis

Emission of particulate and gaseous pollutants from household laser processing machine

Indoor air quality(IAQ) directly affects the health of occupants. Household manufacturing equipment(HME) used for hobbies or educational purposes is a new and unexplored source of air pollution. In this study, we evaluated the characteristics of particulate and gaseous pollutants produced by a household laser processing equipment(HLPE). Various target materials were tested using a commercial HLPE under various operating conditions of laser power and sheath air flow rate. The mode diameters of the emitted particles gradually decreased as laser power increased, while the particle number concentration(PNC) and particle emission rate(PER) increased. In addition, as the sheath air flow rate quadrupled from 10 to 40 L/min, the mode diameter of the emitted particles decreased by nearly 25%, but the effect on the PNC was insignificant. When the laser induced the target materials at 53 m W, the mode diameters of particles were 2.0 × 10^(4) particles/cm^(3). Particularly, analyses of sampled aerosols indicated that harmful substances such as sulfur and barium were present in particles emitted from leather. The carcinogenic gaseous pollutants such as acrylonitrile, acetaldehyde, 1,3-butadiene, benzene, and C 8 aromatics(ethylbenzene) were emitted from all target materials. In an actual indoor environment, the PNC of inhalable ultrafine particles(UFPs) was > 5 × 10^(4) particles/cm^(3) during 30 min of HLPE operation. Our results suggest that more meticulous control methods are needed, including the use of less harmful target materials along with filters or adsorbents that prevent emission of pollutants.
