Enhancing the Prediction of User Satisfaction with Metaverse Service Through Machine Learning

Metaverse is one of the main technologies in the daily lives of several people,such as education,tour systems,and mobile application ***,the number of users of mobile metaverse applications is increasing owing to the merit of accessibility *** provide an improved service,it is important to analyze online reviews that contain user *** previous studies have utilized traditional methods,such as the structural equation model(SEM)and technology acceptance method(TAM)for exploring user satisfaction,using limited survey *** methods may not be appropriate for analyzing the users of mobile *** overcome this limitation,several researchers perform user experience analysis through online reviews and star ***,some online reviews occasionally have inconsistencies between the star rating and the sentiment of the *** variation disturbs the performance of machine *** alleviate the inconsistencies,Valence Aware Dictionary and sEntiment Reasoner(VADER),which is a sentiment classifier based on lexicon,is *** current study aims to build a more accurate sentiment classifier based on machine learning with *** this study,five sentiment classifiers are used,such as Naïve Bayes,K-Nearest Neighbors(KNN),Logistic Regression,Light Gradient Boosting Machine(LightGBM),and Categorical boosting algorithm(Catboost)with three embedding methods(Bag-of-Words(BoW),Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency(TF-IDF),Word2Vec).The results show that classifiers that apply VADER outperform those that do not apply VADER,excluding one classifier(Logistic Regression with Word2Vec).Moreover,LightGBM with TF-IDF has the highest accuracy 88.68%among other models.

Enhancing the total organic carbon measurement efficiency for water samples containing suspended solids using alkaline and ultrasonic pretreatment methods

In this study,we investigated the effect of sample pretreatments(ultrasonication and alkaline extraction)on total organic carbon(TOC)measurements for water samples containing suspended solids(SS)of four different origins(algae,soil,sewage sludge,and leaf litter)to more clearly assess the impact of particulate organic carbon(POC)in *** effects each of ultrasonication(power,pulse,etc.)and alkaline extraction condition(concentration,time,etc.)on the TOC recovery and precision were investigated,and the results were compared with those of a new sample pre treatment method combining both *** treatment(0.01 mol/L NaOH)showed higher precision than ultrasonication(100/5 on/off pulse),and notably,the differences among the measured TOC values in samples of different origins were also further reduced in the alkaline *** suggests that the ultrasonic pretreatment results can be mainly attributed to the increase in POC recovery through particle size reduction,whereas the alkaline treatment results are achieved through the enhancement of POC *** is also particularly noteworthy that a higher TOC recovery of 87.6%±7.4%with a higher precision of 8.4%could be obtained using the combined method,compared to each treatment(ultrasonic:TOC recovery 34.7%,relative standard deviation 63.1%;alkaline:49.6%and 23.0%,respectively).Thus,simultaneous pretreatment with ultrasonication and alkaline extraction is expected to increase the oxidation rate of organic matter and the homogeneity of the samples,minimizing the loss of POC measurement values,and thereby improving the reliability of the TOC measurements of water samples containing SS.

Enhancing the sense of presence of participants is an important issue in terms of security awareness for remote collaboration in extended ***,conventional methods are insufficient to be aware of remote situations and to search for and control remote *** study pro-poses a spatial multi-presence system that simultaneously provides multiple spaces while rapidly exploring these spaces as users perform collaborative work in an extended reality *** proposed system provides methods for arranging and manipulating remote and personal spaces by creating an annular screen that is invisible to the *** user can freely arrange remote participants and their workspaces on the annular *** users can simultaneously view various spaces arranged on the annular screen,they can perform collaborative work while simultaneously feeling the presence of multiple spaces and can be fully immersed in a specific *** addition,the personal spaces where users work can also be arranged through the annular *** to the results of the performance evaluations,users participating in remote collaborative works can visualize the spaces of multiple users simultaneously and feel their presence,thereby increasing their understanding of the ***,the proposed system reduces the time to perform tasks and gain awareness of the emergency in remote workspaces.

Effect of the protection layer formed by cross-linked gelatin on the stability and performance of glucose and oxygen fuel cells

A glucose oxidation catalyst comprising carbon nanotube,tetrathiafulvalene(TTF),gelatin,glutaraldehyde(GA)and glucose oxidase(GOx)(CNT/[TTF-GOx]/Gelatin+GA)is suggested to enhance the reactivity of glucose oxidation reaction(GOR),and the performance and stability of enzymatic biofuel cells(EBCs)using this *** this catalyst,TTF is used as mediator to transfer electron effectively,while GA is crosslinked to gelatin to form non-soluble *** structure prevents the dissolution of gelatin from aqueous electrolyte and reduces the leaching-out of GOx and TTF *** confirm the crosslinking effect of GA and gelatin,Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy(FT-IR)and electrochemical evaluations are *** to FT-IR analysis,it was observed that the amide I peak shifted after *** is evidence showing the appropriate network formation and the reactivity of CNT/[TTFGOx]/Gelatin+GA is well preserved even after multiple potential *** addition,its GOx activity is regularly monitored for one month and the measurements prove that the structure prevents the leaching out of GOx *** on that,EBC using the anodic catalyst shows excellent performances,such as open circuit voltage of 0.75 V and maximum power density of 184μW/cm^(2).

Synthesis of a Rod-rod Diblock Copolymer, Poly (3-hexylthiophene)-block-poly(furfuryl isocyanate), through the Anionic Polymerization with an Oxyanionic Macroinitiator

A rod-rod diblock copolymer (diBCP), poly(3-hexylthiophene)-block-poly(furfuryl isocyanate)(P3HT-b-PFIC), was synthesized through the anionic polymerization with an oxyanionic macroinitiator of P3HT. The properties of the diBCP (molecular weight, dispersity, composition, thermal stability, UV-visible absorption, and thin film morphology) were determined by various analytical methods. P3HT-b-PFIC was blended with C60 in a toluene solution to prepare a thin film of binary electron donor/acceptor system. Such blending enabled partial conjugation of the two components by the Diels-Alder reaction between furan and C60 at 60℃ for 3 h;the mixture was then spin-cast as a thin film, and annealed at 250℃ for 24 h. Tapping-mode atomic force microscopy (AFM) revealed that P3HT and C60 domains had nanoscale interfaces without a large phase segregation. This result indicated that the microphase separation of C60-functionalized P3HT-b-PFIC preserved even at high temperature provided free C60 molecules with channels to diffuse on the sides of P3HT domain, thus preventing the macroscopic crystallization of free C60 through the interfacial stabilization.

BACKGROUND Ulcerative colitis(UC)is an uncommon inflammatory bowel disease(IBD).However,its incidence has recently increased in South ***,UC diagnoses are frequently delayed,and the relationship between diagnostic delay and UC prognosis has not been extensively studied in South Korean *** To identify meaningful diagnostic delay affecting UC prognosis and to evaluate risk factors associated with diagnostic delay in South Korean *** Medical records of 718 patients with UC who visited the outpatient clinic of six university hospitals in South Korea were reviewed;167 cases were excluded because the first symptom date was *** evaluated the relationship between the prognosis and a diagnostic delay of 3,6,12,18,and 24 mo by comparing the prognostic factors[anti-tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-αuse,admission history due to acute flare-ups,frequent admission due to flare-ups,surgery associated with UC,and the clinical remission state at the latest followup]at each diagnostic *** The mean diagnostic interval was 223.3±483.2 d(median,69 d;75th percentile,195 d).Among the prognostic factors,anti-TNFαuse was significantly increased after a diagnostic delay of 24 *** risk factors predictive of a 24-mo diagnostic delay were age24 mo was associated with increased anti-TNFα***<60 years at diagnosis,smoking history,and misdiagnosis of hemorrhoids were risk factors for delayed diagnosis.
