A New Approach to Estimate True Position of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles in an INs/GPs Integration system in GPs spoofing Attack Conditions

This paper presents a new approach to estimate the true position of an unmanned aerial vehicle （UAV） in the conditions of spoofing attacks on global positioning system （GPs） receivers. This approach consists of two phases, the spoofing detection phase which is accomplished by hypothesis test and the trajectory estimation phase which is carried out by applying the adapted particle filters to the integrated inertial navigation system （INs） and GPs. Due to nonlinearity and unfavorable impacts of spoofing signals on GPs receivers, deviation in position calculation is modeled as a cumulative uniform error. This paper also presents a procedure of applying adapted particle swarm optimization filter （PsOF） to the INs/GPs integration system as an estimator to compensate spoofing attacks. Due to memory based nature of PsOF and benefits of each particle＇s experiences, application of PsOF algorithm in the INs/GPs integ- ration system leads to more precise positioning compared with general particle filter （PF） and adaptive unscented particle filer （AUPF） in the GPs spoofing attack scenarios. simulation results show that the adapted PsOF algorithm is more reliable and accurate in estim- ating the true position of UAV in the condition of spoofing attacks. The validation of the proposed method is done by root mean square error （RMsE） test.

Evaluating the characteristics of geological structures in karst groundwater inflow, Nowsud Tunnel

Highly permeable geological structures such as dissolution channels, open fractures, and faults create environmental challenges regard to hydrological and hydrogeological aspects of underground construction, often causing significant groundwater inflow during drilling due to the limitations of empirical and analytical methods. This study aims to identify the geological factors influencing water flow into the tunnel. High-flow zones' geological features have been identified and examined for this purpose. According to the geological complexity of the Nowsud tunnel, presence of different formations with different permeability and karstification have led to a high volume of underground inflow water (up to 4700 L/s) to the tunnel. The Nowsud tunnel faces significant geological and hydrogeological challenges due to its passage through the Ilam formation's LI2 unit, characterized by dissolution channels, faults, and fractures. The highest inflow rate (4700 L/s) occurred in the Hz-9 zone within the Zimkan anticline. The relationship between geological features and groundwater inflow indicates that anticlines are more susceptible to inflow than synclines. Additionally, different types of faults exhibit varying hydraulic effects, with strike-slip faults having the most significant impact on groundwater inflow, thrust faults conducting less water into the tunnel, and inflow through normal faults being negligible compared to the other two types of faults. The novelty of this paper lies in its detailed analysis of geological features influencing groundwater inflow into the Nowsud tunnel, providing empirical data on high-flow zones and differentiating the hydraulic effects of various fault types, which enhances the understanding and prediction of groundwater inflow in underground constructions.

The seismic performance of gravity dam-reservoir-foundation coupled system is investigated utilizing probabilistic *** this research,the uncertainties associated with modeling parameters are incorporated in nonlinear response history simulations to realistically quantify their effects on the seismic performance of the *** methodology is applied to Pine Flat gravity dam and the foundation is considered to be inhomogeneous assuming a constant spatial geometry but with various rock material *** sources of uncertainty are taken into account in the reliability analysis using Latin Hypercube sampling *** effects of the deconvolution process,number of samples,and foundation inhomogeneity are investigated.

A New Approach for the Determination of Metronidazole Using switchable solvent Coupled with Au-MWCNTs-Modified Electrochemical sensor

In this work,a new liquid-phase microextraction method coupled with an electrochemical technique using a switchable solvent was proposed for the determination of *** extraction solvent used was dipropylamine(DPA),which exhibited switchable *** means that it can become miscible or immiscible when in contact with carboxylic acids in the aqueous *** metronidazole was then measured using a glassy carbon electrode that was modified with Au-multiwalled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs).The eff ect of diff erent parameters such as the type and amount of trigger,the addition of salt,and the volume of extraction solvent on the e fficiency of switchable hydrophilic solvent-based liquid-phase microextraction(sHs-LPME)was investigated using the one-factor-at-a-time *** optimizing the conditions,the linear calibration curve was obtained in the concentration range of 0.005–250μmol/***,the limit of quantification(LOQ)of 0.005μmol/L and the limit of detection(LOD)of 0.0015μmol/L were obtained,respectively.

spin squeezing in Dicke-class of states with non-orthogonal spinors

The celebrated Majorana representation is exploited to investigate spin squeezing in different classes of pure symmetric states of N qubits with two distinct spinors, namely the Dicke-class of states. On obtaining a general expression for spin squeezing parameter, the variation of squeezing for different configurations is studied in detail. It is shown that the states in the Dicke-class, characterized by two-distinct non-orthogonal spinors, exhibit squeezing.

This work aims to numerically study the melting natural convection in a rectangular enclosure heated by three discreet protruding electronic chips. The beat sources generate heat at a constant and uniform volumetric rate. A part of the power generated in the heat sources is dissipated to a phase change material （PCM, n-eicosane with melting temperature, Tm = 36℃）. Numerical investigations were carded out in order to examine the effects of the plate thickness on the maximum temperature of electronic components, the percentage contribution of plate heat conduction on the total removed heat and temperature profiles in the plate. Con＇elations for the dimensionless secured working time （time to reach the threshold temperature, Tcr = 75℃） and the corresponding liquid fraction were derived.

Effects of preparation and operation conditions on precipitated iron nickel catalysts for Fischer-Tropsch synthesis

Iron nickel oxide catalysts were prepared using co-precipitation procedure and studied for the conversion of synthesis gas to light *** particular,the effects of a range of preparation variables such as Fe/Ni molar ratios of the precipitation solution,precipitate aging times,calcination conditions,different supports and loading of optimum support on the structure of catalysts and their catalytic performance for the tested reaction were *** was found that the catalyst containing 40%Fe/60%Ni/40wt%Al 2O3 ,which was aged for 180 min and calcined at 600 ℃ for 6 h was the optimum modified *** catalytic performance of optimal catalyst has been studied in different operation conditions such as reaction temperatures,H2 /CO molar feed ratios and reaction total *** of both precursors and calcined catalysts was carried out by powder X-ray diffraction（XRD）,scanning electron microscopy（sEM）,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller（BET） surface area measurements,thermal analysis methods such as thermal gravimetric analysis（TGA） and differential scanning calorimetry（DsC）.

DYNAMIC PULL-IN INsTABILITY OF DOUBLE-sIDED ACTUATED NANO-TORsIONAL sWITCHEs

A nonlinear frequency-amplitude relation is developed to investigate the vibrational amplitude effect on the dynamic pull-in instability of double-sided-actuated nano-torsional switches. The governing equation of a nano-electro-mechanical system pre-deformed by an electric field contains the quintic nonlinear term. The influences of basic parameters on the pull-in instability and natural frequency are investigated using a powerful analytical approach called the homotopy perturbation method. It is demonstrated that two terms in series expansion are sufficient to produce an acceptable solution. The numerical results obtained have verified the soundness of the asymptotic procedure. The phase portraits of the double-sided nano-torsionalactuator exhibit periodic, homoclinic and heteroclinic orbits.

seismic design factors for RC special moment resisting frames in Dubai,UAE

This study investigates the seismic design factors for three reinforced concrete （RC） framed buildings with 4, 16 and 32-stories in Dubai, UAE utilizing nonlinear analysis. The buildings are designed according to the response spectrum procedure defined in the 2009 International Building Code （IBC＇09）. Two ensembles of ground motion records with 10% and 2% probability of exceedance in 50 years （10/50 and 2/50, respectively） are used. The nonlinear dynamic resPonses to the earthquake records are computed using IDARC-2D. key seismic design parameters are evaluated; namely, response modification factor （R）, deflection amplification factor （Cd）, system overstrength factor （Ωo）, and response modification factor for ductility （Rd） in addition to inelastic interstory drift. The evaluated seismic design factors are found to significantly depend on the considered ground motion （10/50 versus 2/50）. Consequently, resolution to the controversy of Dubai seismicity is urged. The seismic design factors for the 2/50 records show an increase over their counterparts for the 10/50 records in the range of 200%-400%, except for the D~ factor, which shows a mere 30% increase. Based on the observed trends, perioddependent R and Cd factors are recommended if consistent collapse probability （or collapse prevention performance） in moment frames with varying heights is to be expected.
