Grinding Characteristic of Multi-walled Carbon Nanotubes-alumina Composite Particle

The synthesis of new materials containing multi-walled carbon nanotubes （MWCNTs） and the microstructure of alumina particles were investigated and characterized. The MWCNTs and alumina particles were ground under both the dry and wet conditions with various rotation speeds （200 - 400 r/min） in planetary ball milling machine, and their combination characteristics were described. The experimental results were examined by scanning electron microscopy （SEM）, X-ray diffraction （XRD）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and particle sizing analysis （PSA）. SEM result revealed that the combination of MWCNTs - Alumina particles mixed quite well under both the dry and wet grinding with rotation speed of 400 r/rain. XRD characterization indicated the better result could get in ground samples at a rotation speed of 400 r/min. PSA result showed the particle size decreased with increase the grinding speeds. From the overall results, we observed that the grinding method can be used to synthesize new material with high efficiency.

Boron nitride nanotubes(BNNTs)show exceptional physical properties including high mechanical strength and thermal conductivity;however,their applications have been restricted due to limited dispersibility in processing ***,a novel BNNT dispersion method with exceptional dispersibility in a wide range of solvents has been demonstrated by surtace polarity modulation through short-molecule pyridine *** atoms in pyridine are selectively bonded to electron-deficient boron atoms of the BNNT surface through Lewis acid-base reaction,which changes the surface polarity of BNNTs from neutral to ***-dispersing pyridine-attached BNNTs(Py-BNNTs)create a thick and stable electronic double layer(EDL),resulting in uniform dispersion of BNNTs in solvents with an exceptional solubility parameter range of 18.5-48 MPa^1/*** uniform dispersion of BNNTs is maintained even after the mixing with diverse ***,composites incorporating uniformly-distributed BNNTs have been realized,and extraordinary property enhancements have been *** thermal conductivity of 20 wt.%Py-BNNT/epoxy composite has been significantly improved by 69.6%and the tensile strength of 2 wt.%Py-BNNT/PVA has been dramatically improved by 75.3%.Our work demonstrates a simple and facile route to dispersing BNNTs in diverse solvents,consequently leading to selective utlization of BNNT dispersed solvents in various application fields.

High-thermal conductivity enhancement of nanofluid is one of the promising topics of the nanoscience research field. This work reports the experimental study on the preparation of graphene(GN) and multi-walled carbon nanotubes(MWCNTs) based nanofluids with the assistance of sodium dodecyl benzene sulfonate(SDBS) and sodium dodecyl sulfate(SDS) surfactants, and their thermal behaviors. The present work suggests not a solution, but a solution approach and deduces a new conclusion by trying to resolve the agglomeration problem and improve the dispersibility of nanoparticles in the base fluid. The analysis results of FESEM, thermal conductivity, diffusivity, effusivity and heat transfer coefficient enhancement ratio of nanofluid with surfactants SDS and SDBS expose strong evidence of the dispersing effect of surfactant on the making of nanofluid.

Effective thermal performance of oscillating heat pipe(OHP)is driven by inside pressure *** transfer phenomena were reported in terms of pressure and frequency of pressure fluctuation in multi loop OHP charged with aqueous Al2O3 and MWCNTs/Al2O3 *** influences on thermal resistance of aqueous Al2O3,MWCNTs as well as the hybrid of them in OHP having 3 mm in inner diameter were investigated at 60% filling *** results show that thermal characteristics are significantly inter-related with pressure distribution and strongly depend upon the number of pressure fluctuations with *** of pressure depends upon the power input in evaporative section.A little inclusion of MWCNTs into aqueous Al2O3 at 60% filling ratio achieves the highest fluctuation frequency and the lowest thermal resistance at any evaporator power input though different nanofluids cause different thermal performances of OHPs.

Elucidating the complex dynamic cellular organization in the hypothalamus is critical for understanding its role in coordinating fundamental body functions. Over the past decade, single-cell and spatial omics technologies have significantly evolved, overcoming initial technical challenges in capturing and analyzing individual cells. These high-throughput omics technologies now offer a remarkable opportunity to comprehend the complex spatiotemporal patterns of transcriptional diversity and cell-type characteristics across the entire hypothalamus. Current single-cell and single-nucleus RNA sequencing methods comprehensively quantify gene expression by exploring distinct phenotypes across various subregions of the hypothalamus. However, single-cell/single-nucleus RNA sequencing requires isolating the cell/nuclei from the tissue, potentially resulting in the loss of spatial information concerning neuronal networks. Spatial transcriptomics methods, by bypassing the cell dissociation, can elucidate the intricate spatial organization of neural networks through their imaging and sequencing technologies. In this review, we highlight the applicative value of single-cell and spatial transcriptomics in exploring the complex molecular-genetic diversity of hypothalamic cell types, driven by recent high-throughput achievements.

BACKGROUND Food protein-induced enterocolitis syndrome(FPIES)is the most serious type of non-immunoglobulin E(IgE)-mediated food allergic reaction manifesting as sepsis-like symptom,which can lead to *** boulardii(***),a probiotic prescribed frequently in clinical settings,has been reported to trigger FPIES in an infant with soy-triggered *** this report,we describe a new clinical FPIES in which *** was the sole triggering factor of acute FPIES adverse reaction in seven healthy *** SUMMARY Seven FPIES cases triggered by only *** were gathered from 2011 to the *** of the patients had previously experienced any allergic reaction to cow’s milk,soy,or complementary *** age of the patients was 4-10-months old,and the symptoms of FPIES developed after ingestion of ***,which is mostly prescribed for the treatment of gastroenteritis or antibiotic-associated *** patients experienced severe repetitive vomiting 1-3 hours after *** *** lethargy,marked pallor,and cyanosis were also *** IgE-mediated hypersensitivity developed in any *** was followed by initial intense vomiting in approximately 5-10 hours after *** ingestion,and only one case showed bloody,purulent,and foul-smelling *** patients stabilized quickly,mostly within 6 *** got all improved within 24 hours after discontinuation of *** *** can be the sole trigger of acute FPIES and be prescribed cautiously even in healthy children without FPIES.

Current fluctuation in electronic systems has been extensively studied due to the fact that they can pro- vide further information of charge transport compared to the conventional conductance measurements. Shot noise is the non-equilibrium electrical fluctuation due to the discrete nature of carriers flowing through a device, reflecting correlation effects. A well-known shot noise power density as uncorrelated charge trans- mission is S - 2el, with I the average current. This Poissonian shot noise can be observed in sys- tems with a single tunnel barrier. Positive or neg- ative correlations between charged particles, induced by the Coulomb interaction and the Pauli exclusion principle, can enhance or suppress shot noise from the Poissonian value. Numerous experimental and the- oretical studies of the shot noise in mesoseopie sys- tems have been carried out on various devices such as self-assembled quantum dots, resonant tunnel- ing diodes,molecular junction devices, quan- tum point contacts,semiconductor quantum dots, and metal atomic chains. Externally driven exci- tations which affect shot noise properties were also investigated.

To reduce time and energy during thermal binder removal in the ceramic process, plasma surface treatment was applied before the lamination *** adhesion strength in the lamination films was enhanced by oxidative plasma treatment of the porous green ceramic film with polymeric binding *** oxygen plasma characteristics were investigated through experimental parameters and weight loss *** experimental results revealed the need for parameter analysis,including gas material,process time,flow rate,and discharge power,and supported a mechanism consisting of competing ablation and deposition *** weight loss analysis was conducted for cyclic plasma treatment rather than continuous plasma treatment for the purpose of improving the film’s permeability by suppressing deposition of the ablated *** cyclic plasma treatment improved the permeability compared to the continuous plasma treatment.

Rice （Oryza sativa） is one of the most important staple food crops for more than half of the world＇s population. The demand is increasing for food security because of population growth and environmental challenges triggered by climate changes. This scenario has led to more interest in developing crops with greater productivity and sustainability. The process of genetic transformation, a major tool for crop improvement, utilizes promoters as one of its key elements. Those promoters are generally divided into three types： constitutive, spatiotemporal, and condition-dependent. Tran- scriptional control of a constitutive promoter often leads to reduced plant growth, due to a negative effect of accumu- lated molecules during cellular functions or energy consump- tion. To maximize the effect of a transgene on transgenic plants, it is better to use condition-dependent or tissue- specific promoters. However, until now, those types have not been as widely applied in crop biotechnology. In this review, we introduce and discuss four groups of tissue-specific promoters （5o promoters in total） and six groups of condition-dependent promoters （27 promoters）. These pro- moters can be utilized to fine-tune desirable agronomic traits and develop crops with tolerance to various stresses, enhanced nutritional value, and advanced productivity.
