Protective effects of Ecklonia cava extract on the toxicity and oxidative stress induced by hair dye in in-vitro and in-vivo models

Oxidative hair dyes containingρ-phenyle.ediamine(PPD)are reported to induce an alle.gic reaction by promoting oxidative stress when absorbed through the *** the associated risk,these hair dyes remain popular owing to their convenience and sharpness of *** makes it important to minimize the cytotoxicity and oxidative stress induced by PPD-containing hair *** cava extract has been evaluated in different studies for its protective effects against external stress in fibroblasts and *** study was aimed at using in-vitro and in-vivo models to investigate the extract’s effects on cytotoxicity of and oxidative stress induced by PPD-containing hair *** of CIEL*a*b*Color space was first used to determine the range of *** extract that would not interfere with the coloring ability of the dye upon ***,the set ranges of *** extract(5% and 7%)were added to the hair dye and their toxicity assessed by evaluating the viability of fibroblasts and *** effects on developmental phenotypes and induction of oxidative stress by hair dye were evaluated and compared with those of hair dyes containing different contents of *** extract using an in-vivo zebrafish *** results showed that *** extract in hair dye could significantly decrease the cytotoxicity and le.els of oxidative stress caused by hair dyes containing PPD in both in-vitro and in-vivo *** results suggest that the addition of 7% *** extract to 250μg/mL hair dye does not interfere with the coloring ability of the dye while.showing significant protective eff ects against the hair *** study proposes that the use of *** extract as an adduct to hair dyes containing PPD reduces the cytotoxicity and oxidative stress induced by these hair dyes.

Extract from Zanthoxylum piperitum Induces Apoptosis of AGS Gastric Cancer Cells through Akt/MDM2/p53 Signaling Pathway

Assessing significant fibrosis using imaging-based elastography in chronic hepatitis B patients: Pilot study

To the Editor： Anomalous right coronary artery （RCA） is rare and usually originates from the le.t sinus of Valsalva. An anomalous RCA arising from the le.t anterior descending （LAD） coronary artery is extremely rare. It is important to be aware of coronary anomalies because they may be associated with potentially serious cardiac events. Therefore, we report a rare case of an anomalous origin of the RCA from the mid le.t anterior descending artery （mLAD）, which presented with acute myocardial infarction just proximal to the origin of the RCA, jeopardizing both the LAD and RCA.

Epimedium koreanum Nakai and its main constituent icariin suppress lipid accumulation during adipocyte differentiation of 3T3-L1 preadipocytes

Obesity is associated with a number of metabolic abnormalities such as type 2 diabetes and has become a major health proble. worldwide. In the present study, we investigated the effects of Epimedium koreanum Nakai(Herba Epimedii, HE) and its main constituent icariin on the adipocyte differentiation in 3T3-L1 preadipocytes. HE extract and icariin significantly reduced lipid accumulation and suppressed the expressions of PPARγ, C/EBPα, and SREBP-1c in 3T3-L1 adipocytes. They also inhibited fatty acid synthase(FAS), acyl-Co A synthase(ACS1), and perilipin. Moreover, HE extract and icariin markedly increased the phosphorylation of AMPK. These results indicated that HE extract and icariin can inhibit the adipocyte differentiation through downregulation of the adipogenic transcription factors, suggesting that HE containing icariin may be used as a potential therapeutic agent in the treatment and prevention of obesity.

Bee venom(BV),one of the most commonly encountered types of animal venom,consists of a mixture of chemical agents that cause alle.gic reactions in the human body.⑴BV therapy,in which BV is exploited for medicinal purposes,is available.worldwide,mainly used in Asia,Eastern Europe,and South America.(2)BV therapy has been applied to treat a diverse set of diseases including various musculoskele.al conditions such as arthritis and rheumatism,arthralgia,chronic recalcitrant neuralgia,(3-5)Parkinson's disease,(6,7)postherpetic neuralgia,(8)and morphea.(9)Although the therapeutic utility of BV has been demonstrated,extensive studies regarding the safety of BV as a therapeutic agent have identified potential side effects,ranging from minor skin reactions that typically resolve over several days to severe life-threatening immune responses such as anaphylaxis.

In this paper, we consider a von Karman equation with infinite memory. For yon Karman equations with finite memory, there is a lot of literature concerning on existence of the solutions, decay of the energy, and existence of the attractors. However, there are few results on existence and energy decay rate of the solutions for yon Karman equations with infinite memory. The main goal of the present paper is to generalize previous results by treating infinite history instead of finite history.
