Objective: Elderly health care needs increase and nurses' role for elderlies is *** is significant to identify nursing students' intention to care for ***,this study investigated nursing students' willingness to care for elderlies in Korea and the United ***: The study was conducted with 437 undergraduate nursing students from Korea and the United States from May 25 to 31,*** completed a survey including frequency and quality of contact,anxiety about aging,empathy,attitude toward elderly,and willingness to ***: Study findings from the entire group showed that nursing students' willingness to care for the elderly was positively associated with contact quality (β =0.22,P<0.001) and empathy (β =0.12,P 0.009) but negatively associated with anxiety about aging (β =0.23,P < 0.001) and attitude toward the elderly (β =0.14,P =0.004).Contact quality (β=0.30,P < 0.001) was positively associated with the willingness to care in Korean students,whereas extended family living type (β =-0.15,P=0.012) and attitude toward the elderly (β =-0.18,P=0.005) negatively associated in US ***: This study suggested that nursing educators reinforce contact quality and empathy but reduce anxiety about aging and attitude toward elderly to enhance future nurses' care quality.

It showed diffusion restriction and peripheral rimenhancement on an arterial phase image, and progressive enhancement on portalvenous and delayed phase images. Distal pancreatectomy was performed. Although non-small cell lung cancer （NSCLC） can metastasize to almost any organ, metastasis to the gallbladder with significant clinical manifestation is relatively rare. Here, we report a case of gallbladder metastasis of NSCLC presenting as acute cholecystitis. A 79-year-old man presented with pain in the right upper quadrant and fever. A computed tomography （CT） scan of the chest and abdomen showed a cavitary mass in the right lower lobe of the lung and irregular wall thickening of the gallbladder. Open cholecystectomy and needle biopsy of the lung mass were performed. Histological examination of the gallbladder revealed a moderately-differentiated squamous cell carcinoma displaying the same morphology as the lung mass assessed by needle biopsy. Subsequent immunohistochemical examination of the gallbladder and lung tissue showed that the tumor cells were positive for P63 but negative for cytokeratin 7, cytokeratin 20 and thyroid transcription factor-1. A second primary tumor of the gallbladder was excluded by immunohistochemical methods, and the final pathological diagnosis was gallbladder metastasis of NSCLC. Although the incidence is extremely rare, acute cholecystitis can occur in association with lung cancer metastasis to the gallbladder.

To investigated the incidence and risk factors of venous thromboembolism (VTE) in patients with advanced gastric cancer (AGC) receiving chemotherapy. METHODSAll consecutive chemotherapy-naïve patients with AGC who would receive palliative chemotherapy between November 2009 and April 2012 in our hospital were recruited. Their pretreatment clinical and laboratory variables, including D-dimer, were recorded. The frequency of VTE development and survival rates during each chemotherapy cycle and regularly thereafter were assessed. RESULTSA total of 241 patients enrolled between November 2009 and April 2012 were analyzed. During a median follow-up duration of 10.8 mo (95%CI: 9.9-11.7), 27 patients developed VTE and the incidence of VTE was 17.5% (95%CI: 10.5-24.0, 12.0 events/100 person-years). The 6-mo and 1-year cumulative incidences were 7.8% (95%CI: 4.2%-11.4%) and 12.4% (95%CI: 7.3-17.2), respectively. Thirteen (48.1%) patients were symptomatic and the other 14 (51.9%) patients were asymptomatic. In multivariate analysis, pretreatment D-dimer level was the only marginally significant risk factor associated with VTE development (hazard ratio = 1.32; 95%CI: 1.00-1.75, P = 0.051). CONCLUSIONThe incidence of VTE is relatively high in patients with AGC receiving chemotherapy, and pretreatment D-dimer level might be a biomarker for risk stratification of VTE.

AIM: To investigate the detailed microscopic anatomic structures of the lower eyelid in Korean cadavers. METHODS: Eight lower eyelids of 4 formalin-fixed Asian cadavers (4 males; age range, 48-69 years; mean age, 60.2 years) were examined. Three perpendicular dissected sections with a 2mm thickness were obtained from each eyelid to investigate anatomic shapes, size and relationship with surrounding structures. One section was obtained from the midline and 2 the other sections were obtained from a 3mm apart from the lateral and medial tarsus margins. RESULTS: The inferior tarsal muscle fibers were not directly attached to the tarsus but were only linked to the tarsus with enclosed fibrous fascia. The inferior tarsal muscles connected loosely with the capsulopalpebral fascia anteriorly and the conjunctiva posteriorly. The inferior tarsal muscle runs horizontally to the tarsus according to the shape of muscle fibers. The capsulopalpebral fascia consisted of an anterior and posterior layer. The anterior layer reached the orbital septum and subcutaneous fat but the posterior layer forwarded into the tarsus. Lockwood’s ligament was separated from the inferior tarsal muscle and capsulopalpebral fascia or fused into the capsulopalpebral ***: This study suggests that the inferior tarsal muscle which runs horizontally and doesn’t insert directly into the tarsus, plays an important role in the movement and localization of the lower eyelid.

AIM To identify the frequency, clinicopathological risk factors, and prognostic significance of lymphovascular invasion(LVI) in endoscopically resected small rectal neuroendocrine tumors(NETs).METHODS Between June 2005 and December 2015, 104 cases of endoscopically resected small(≤ 1 cm) rectal NET specimens at Hallym University Sacred Heart Hospital in Korea were retrospectively evaluated. We compared the detected rate of LVI in small rectal NET specimens by two methods: hematoxylin and eosin(H&E) and ancillary immunohistochemical staining(D2-40 and Elastica van Gieson); in addition, LVI detection ratedifference between endoscopic procedures were also evaluated. Patient characteristics, prognosis and endoscopic resection results were reviewed by medical *** We observed LVI rates of 25.0% and 27.9% through H&E and ancillary immunohistochemical staining. The concordance rate between H&E and ancillary studies was 81.7% for detection of LVI, which showed statistically strong agreement between two methods(κ = 0.531, P 5 mm, P = 0.007), tumor grade 2(P = 0.006). Among those factors, tumor grade 2 was the only independent predictive factor for the presence of LVI(HR = 4.195, 95%CI: 1.321-12.692, P = 0.015). No recurrence was observed over 28.8 mo regardless of the presence of *** LVI may be present in a high percentage of small rectal NETs, which may not be associated with short-term prognosis.
