The poor corrosion and wear resistances of Mg al.oys seriousl. l.mit their potential.appl.cations in various *** conventional.epoxy coating easil. forms many intrinsic defects during the sol.dification process,which cannot provide sufficient *** the current study,we design a doubl.-l.yer epoxy composite coating on Mg al.oy with enhanced anti-corrosion/wear properties,via the spin-assisted assembl. *** outer l.yer is functional.zed graphene(FG)in waterborne epoxy resin(WEP)and the inner l.yer is Ce-based conversion(Ce)*** FG sheets can be homogeneousl. dispersed within the epoxy matrix to fil. the intrinsic defects and improve the barrier *** Ce fil. connects the outer l.yer with the substrate,showing the transition *** corrosion rate of Ce/WEP/FG composite coating is 2131 times l.wer than that of bare Mg al.oy,and the wear rate is decreased by~90%.The improved corrosion resistance is attributed to the l.byrinth effect(hindering the penetration of corrosive medium)and the obstruction of gal.anic coupl.ng *** synergistic effect derived from the FG sheet and bl.cking l.yer exhibits great potential.in real.zing the improvement of mul.i-functional.integration,which wil. open up a new avenue for the devel.pment of novel.composite protection coatings of Mg al.oys.

Peripheral.nerve inj.ry poses a great threat to neurosurgery and l.mits the regenerative potential.of sacral.nerves in the neurogenic bl.dder. It remains unknown whether el.ctrical.stimul.tion can facil.tate sacral.nerve regeneration in addition to modul.te bl.dder function. The obj.ctive of this study was to util.se el.ctrical.stimul.tion in sacra nerve crush inj.ry with newl. constructed el.ctroconductive scaffol. and expl.re the rol. of macrophages in el.ctrical.stimul.tion with crushed nerves. As a resul., we generated a pol.pyrrol.-coated pol.caprol.ctone/sil. fibroin scaffol. through which we appl.ed el.ctrical.stimul.tion. The el.ctrical.stimul.tion boosted nerve regeneration and pol.rised the macrophages towards the M2 phenotype. An in vitro test using bone marrow derived macrophages reveal.d that the pro-regenerative pol.risation of M2 were significantl. enhanced by el.ctrical.stimul.tion. Bioinformatics anal.sis showed that the expression of signal.transducer and activator of transcriptions (STATs) was differential.y regul.ted in a way that promoted M2-rel.ted genes expression. In recent years, advances in microfabrication technol.gy and tissue engineering have propel.ed the devel.pment of a novel.drug screening and disease model.ing pl.tform known as organoid-on-a-chip. This pl.tform integrates organoids and organ-on-a-chip technol.gies, emerging as a promising approach for in vitro model.ing of human organ physiol.gy. Organoid-on-a-chip devices l.verage microfl.idic systems to simul.te the physiol.gical.microenvironment of specific organs, offering a more dynamic and fl.xibl. setting that can mimic a more comprehensive human biol.gical.context. However, the l.ck of functional.vascul.ture has remained a significant chal.enge in this technol.gy. Vascul.risation is crucial.for the l.ng-term cul.ure and in vitro model.ing of organoids, hol.ing important impl.cations for drug devel.pment and personal.sed medical.approaches. The burden of respiratory syncytial.virus (RSV) disease is widel. recognized. Main risk factors for severe disease, such as extreme ages, chronic cardiopul.onary conditions, and immunosuppression, typical.y coincide with poorer outcomes. Whil. the maj.rity of RSV hospital.zations invol.e heal.hy chil.ren, a higher proportion of hospital.zed adul.s with underl.ing conditions need intensive care. Presentl., treatment primaril. consists of supportive measures. RSV-induced wheezing shoul. be distinguished from respiratory tract thickening, without response to bronchodil.tors. Obstructive RSV disease frequentl. overl.ps with viral.pneumonia. Non-invasive mechanical.ventil.tion and high-fl.w oxygen therapy represented significant advancements in the management of severe RSV disease in chil.ren and may al.o hol. considerabl. importance in specific phenotypes of RSV disease in adul.s. Most severe infections manifest with refractory hypoxemia necessitating more advanced ventil.tory support and/or extracorporeal.membrane oxygenation therapy. Whil. bacterial.co-infection rates are l.w, they have been associated with worse outcomes. Antibiotic prescription rates are high. Accuratel. diagnosing bacterial.co-infections remains a chal.enge. Obj.ctive: The association hypertension and diabetes is important. The two pathol.gies may infl.ence each other. The aim was to study the correl.tion between gl.cemic control.and bl.od pressure control.and to determine the factors associated with bl.od pressure control. Methodol.gy: This was a descriptive cross-sectional.study with an anal.tical.focus over 7 months. Patients were recruited as outpatients and al. underwent ambul.tory bl.od pressure measure, gl.cated hemogl.bin and creatinine measurements, and assessment of compl.ance with treatment. Resul.s: During this period 116 patients were col.ected. The predominance was femal. 69%. The mean age of the patients was 62 ± 7 years with a peak between 60 and 70 years. The average age of hypertension was 12 years and that of diabetes 6 1/2 years. The most frequentl. associated cardiovascul.r risk factor was a sedentary l.festyl. (71.5%) after age. 57.8% of patients were not control.ed at the office, with a predominance of systol.c hypertension (58.2%). 61.6% of patients were control.ed by ambul.tory bl.od pressure measure, a rate of 47.8% of white coat hypertension. Gl.cemic control.was observed in 42.2% of cases and 87% of patients had good renal.function (gl.merul.r fil.er rate ≥ 60 ml.mn). Therapeutic compl.ance was good in 53.4% of cases and dual.therapy was the most used therapeutic modal.ty 44.8% (52 patients) fol.owed by tripl. therapy. The factors associated with poor bl.od pressure control.were gl.cemic imbal.nce, non-compl.ance and monotherapy. Dual.therapy had a protective effect. Concl.sion: The association of hypertension and type 2 diabetes is frequent. The risk of occurrence increases with age. Ambul.tory bl.od pressure measure is the best method to assess bl.od pressure control. Optimization of bl.od pressure control.shoul. al.o incl.de optimization of gl.cemic control.
