Nanosized Ba_(1-x)Bi_(x)Fe_(1-x)Cu_(x)O_(3)(12–50 nm)with x values of 0,0.01,0.05,and 0.1 system was prepared using the Pechini method.Structural,morphological,surface and optical characterizations were performed for the prepared samples.Cubic phase was the predominant phase for the undoped BaFeO_(3)and Bi and Cu co-doped BaFeO_(3)samples.Minor phases of monoclinic Ba_(2)Fe_(2)O_(5),orthorhombic BaFe_(2)O_(4)and orthorhombic BaCO_(3)were identified for all the prepared samples.Ba_(0.95)Bi_(0.05)Fe_(0.95)Cu_(0.05)O_(3)sample has the lowest band gap(2.43 e V).98.1%paracetamol removal was achieved with 0.75 g/L of Ba_(0.95)Bi_(0.05)Fe_(0.95)Cu_(0.05)O_(3)at pH9 after 120 min.The paracetamol degradation follows the pseudo first-order kinetics.HO·is the main oxidative species responsible for the paracetamol degradation.Gas chromatography–mass spectrometry(GC–MS)analysis was performed at the end of the photocatalytic degradation experiment under optimum operating condition using Ba_(0.95)Bi_(0.05)Fe_(0.95)Cu_(0.05)O_(3)to explain the reaction mechanism and identify the intermediate by-products which is confirmed by ultraviolet/visible(UV/Vis)spectroscopy study at different reaction times.

The objective of this investigation is to assess the effect of obstacles on numerical heat transfer and fluid flow momentum in a rectangular microchannel(MC).Two distinct configurations were studied:one without obstacles and the other with alternating obstacles placed on the upper and lower walls.The research utilized the thermal lattice Boltzmann method(LBM),which solves the energy and momentum equations of fluids with the BGK approximation,implemented in a Python coding environment.Temperature jump and slip velocity conditions were utilized in the simulation for the MC and extended to all obstacle boundaries.The study aims to analyze the rarefaction effect,with Knudsen numbers(Kn)of 0.012,0.02,and 0.05.The outcomes indicate that rarefaction has a significant impact on the velocity and temperature distribution.The presence of nine obstacles led to slower fluid movement inside the microchannel MC,resulting in faster cooling at the outlet.In MCs with obstacles,the rarefaction effect plays a crucial role in decreasing the Nusselt number(Nu)and skin friction coefficient(Cf).Furthermore,the study demonstrated that the obstacles played a crucial role in boosting fluid flow and heat transfer in the MC.The findings suggest that the examined configurations could have potential applications as cooling technologies in micro-electro-mechanical systems and microdevice applications.

Post-cholecystectomy iatrogenic bile duct injuries(IBDIs),are not uncommon and although the frequency of IBDIs vary across the literature,the rates following the procedure of laparoscopic cholecystectomy are much higher than open cholecystectomy.These injuries caries a great burden on the patients,physicians and the health care systems and sometime are life-threatening.IBDIs are associated with different manifestations that are not limited to abdominal pain,bile leaks from the surgical drains,peritonitis with fever and sometimes jaundice.Such injuries if not witnessed during the surgery,can be diagnosed by combining clinical manifestations,biochemical tests and imaging techniques.Among such techniques abdominal US is usually the first choice while Magnetic Resonance Cholangio-Pancreatography seems the most appropriate.Surgical approach was the ideal approach for such cases,however the introduction of Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangio-Pancreatography(ERCP)was a paradigm shift in the management of such injuries due to accepted success rates,lower cost and lower rates of associated morbidity and mortality.However,the literature lacks consensus for the optimal timing of ERCP intervention in the management of IBDIs.ERCP management of IBDIs can be tailored according to the nature of the underlying injury.For the subgroup of patients with complete bile duct ligation and lost ductal continuity,transfer to surgery is indicated without delay.Those patients will not benefit from endoscopy and hence should not do unnecessary ERCP.For low–flow leaks e.***.gallbladder bed leaks,conservative management for 1-2 wk prior to ERCP is advised,in contrary to high-flow leaks e.***.cystic duct leaks and stricture lesions in whom early ERCP is encouraged.Sphincterotomy plus stenting is the ideal management line for cases of IBDIs.Interventional radiologic techniques are promising options especially for cases of failed endoscopic repair and also for cases with altered anatomy.Future studies will solve many unsolved issues in the management of

The ability of any steganography system to correctly retrieve the secret message is the primary criterion for measuring its efficiency.Recently,researchers have tried to generate a new natural image driven from only the secret message bits rather than using a cover to embed the secret message within it;this is called the stego image.This paper proposes a new secured coverless steganography system using a generative mathematical model based on semi Quick Response(QR)code and maze game image generation.This system consists of two components.The first component contains two processes,encryption process,and hiding process.The encryption process encrypts secret message bits in the form of a semi-QR code image whereas the hiding process conceals the pregenerated semi-QR code in the generated maze game image.On the other hand,the second component contains two processes,extraction and decryption,which are responsible for extracting the semi-QR code from the maze game image and then retrieving the original secret message from the extracted semi-QR code image,respectively.The results were obtained using the bit error rate(BER)metric.These results confirmed that the system achieved high hiding capacity,good performance,and a high level of robustness against attackers compared with other coverless steganography methods.

BACKGROUND Timely differentiation of biliary atresia(BA)from other infantile cholestatic diseases can impact patient outcomes.Additionally,non-invasive staging of fibrosis after Kasai hepatoportoenterostomy has not been widely standardized.Shear wave elastography is an ultrasound modality that detects changes in tissue stiffness.The authors propose that the utility of elastography in BA can be elucidated through meta-analysis of existing studies.AIM To assess the utility of elastography in:(1)BA diagnosis,and(2)post-Kasai fibrosis surveillance.METHODS A literature search identified articles that evaluated elastography for BA diagnosis and for post-Kasai follow-up.Twenty studies met criteria for meta-analysis:Eleven for diagnosis and nine for follow-up post-Kasai.Estimated diagnostic odds ratio(DOR),sensitivity,and specificity of elastography were calculated through a random-effects model using Meta-DiSc software.RESULTS Mean liver stiffness in BA infants at diagnosis was significantly higher than in non-BA,with overall DOR 24.61,sensitivity 83%,and specificity 79%.Post-Kasai,mean liver stiffness was significantly higher in BA patients with varices than in patients without,with DOR 16.36,sensitivity 85%,and specificity 76%.Elastography differentiated stage F4 fibrosis from F0-F3 with DOR of 70.03,sensitivity 96%,and specificity 89%.Elastography also differentiated F3-F4 fibrosis from F0-F2 with DOR of 24.68,sensitivity 85%,and specificity 81%.CONCLUSION Elastography has potential as a non-invasive modality for BA diagnosis and surveillance post-Kasai.This paper’s limitations include inter-study method heterogeneity and small sample sizes.Future,standardized,multi-center studies are recommended.

Populus alba is a large woody deciduous plant.The plant has been introduced to shooting,then multiplication of rooting on Murashige and Skoog(MS)medium.This work was designed to estimate the effect of two factors(low levels of 1-Naphthaleneacetic acid NAA and sucrose)on P.alba response resulting in 6 treatments compared to the control,with twelve measured responses.There was a significant difference in some measurements in morphology,like plantlets fresh-weight,shoot-,root-length,and leaf number.In the physiological measurements,there were significant differences in all the measured parameters.The low concentrations of sucrose and media composition/power(MS grams/L)led to starvation in plants;however,these conditions led to enhancement in some morphological and physiological parameters to overcome the starvation effect,compared to the control.The RAPD-PCR molecular marker(four decamers)was used to evaluate the new individuals’genetic variation(instability),resulting in a total polymorphism percentage of 50.83%.It was formerly known that the plantlets were identical to each other and to the mother plant.In this study,however,the use of distinct media power,hormonal and sucrose levels resulted in molecular variation reflected in P.alba’s morphological and physiological responses.

Physicochemical and Analytical Studies of Some Monomer and Polymer Complexes Derived from Selected Aroyl Hydrazone

New solid complexes derived from the reaction of aroyl hydrazones, 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde benzene sulphonyl hydrazone (HNB), and 2-hydroxy-1-naphthaldehyde p-toluene sulphonyl hydrazone (HNT), with Co2+, Ni2+, and Cu2+ salts have been isolated and characterized using elemental analyses, spectral (UV-vis., IR), molar conductivity and magnetic measurements. The modes of bonding as well as the stereochemistry of the isolated solid complexes were discussed. The results suggested that both HNB and HNT coordinated with the metal ions in a bidentate manner forming a polymeric chain in the case of HNB while monocular complexes were formed in the case of HNT. The amounts of solvent in the solid complexes were determined by TGA measurements. Also, spectral studies of HNT with Co2+ and Fe3+ ions in solution were carried and the ratio of complexes was determined by continuous variation, molar ratio, and slope ratio methods. Moreover, the results suggest the formation of 1:1 (M:L) for Co2+ ions while three species with ratios of 1:1, 1:2, and 2:1 (M:L) have been observed in the case of Ni2+ and Cu2+. Finally, conductance titration of HNB and HNT with Co2+ ion elucidates the formation of two species with ratios 1:1 and 1:2 (M:L) in the case of the Co2+-HNB while 1:1 (M:L) belongs to the Co2+-HNT system.

Acute variceal bleeding in patients with liver cirrhosis and portal hypertension(PHT) is the most serious emergency complication among those patients and could have catastrophic outcomes if not timely managed. Early screening by esophago-gastro-duodenoscopy(EGD) for the presence of esophageal varices(EVs) is currently recommended by the practice guidelines for all cirrhotic patients. Meanwhile, EGD is not readily accepted or preferred by many patients. The literature is rich in studies to investigate and validate non-invasive markers of EVs prediction aiming at reducing the unneeded endoscopic procedures. Gallbladder(GB) wall thickness(GBWT) measurement has been found promising in many published research articles. We aim to highlight the validity of sonographic GBWT measurement in the prediction of EVs based on the available evidence. We searched databases including Cochrane library, Pub Med, Web of Science and many others for relevant articles. GBWT is associated with the presence of EVs in cirrhotic patients with PHT of different etiologies. The cut-off of GBWT that can predict the presence of EVs varied in the literature and ranges from 3.1 mm to 4.35 mm with variable sensitivities of 46%-90.9% and lower cutoffs in viral cirrhosis compared to non-viral, however GBWT > 4 mm in many studies is associated with acceptable sensitivity up to 90%. Furthermore, a relation was also noticed with the degree of varices and portal hypertensive gastropathy.Among cirrhotics, GBWT > 3.5 mm predicts the presence of advanced(grade Ⅲ-Ⅳ) EVs with a sensitivity of 45%, the sensitivity increased to 92% when a cut-off ≥ 3.95 mm was used in another cohort. Analysis of these results should carefully be revised in the context of ascites, hypoalbuminemia and other intrinsic GB diseases among cirrhotic patients. The sensitivity for prediction of EVs improved upon combining GBWT measurement with other non-invasive predictors, e.g., platelets/GBWT.

The trend of digital information transformation has become a topic of interest.Many data are threatening;thus,protecting such data from attackers is considered an essential process.Recently,a new methodology for data concealing has been suggested by researchers called coverless steganography.Coverless steganography can be accomplished either by building an image database to match its image subblocks with the secret message to obtain the stego image or by generating an image.This paper proposes a coverless image steganography system based on pure image generation using secret message bits with a capacity higher than the other traditional systems.The system uses the secret message to generate the stego image in the form of one of the Intelligence Quotient(IQ)games,the maze.Firstly,a full grid is generated with several specific rows and columns determined from the number of bits of the secret message.Then,these bits are fed to the full grid to form the maze game stego image.Finally,the generated maze game stego image is sent to the recipient.The experimental results,using the Bit Error Rate(BER),were conducted,and confirmed the strength of this system represented by a high capacity,perfect performance,robustness,and stronger hiding system compared with existing coverless steganography systems.

The acaricidal activities of fourteen essential oils and fourteen of their major monoterpenoids were tested against house dust mites Dermatophagoides pteronyssinus. Five concentrations were used over two different time intervals 24 and 48 h under laboratory conditions. In general, it was noticed that the acaricidal effect based on LC50 of either essential oils or monoterpenoids against the mite was time dependant. The LC50 values were decreased by increasing of exposure time. Clove, matrecary, chenopodium, rosemary, eucalyptus and caraway oils were shown to have high activity. As for the monoterpenoids, cinnamaldehyde and chlorothymol were found to be the most effective followed by citronellol. This study suggests the use of the essential oils and their major constituents as ecofriendly biodegradable agents for the control of house dust mite, D. pteronyssinus.
