A state space model(SSM) is derived for quantum-dot semiconductor optical amplifiers(QD-SOAs).Rate equations of QD-SOA are formulated in the form of state update equations,where average occupation probabilities along QD-SOA cavity are considered as state variables of the *** show that SSM calculates QD-SOA′s static and dynamic characteristics with high accuracy.

The present work aims to explore the impact of solar gamma-ray fiares(GRFs),detected by the Fermi-Large Area Telescope(LAT),and their associated X-ray fiares(XRFs)on the Earth’s lower *** data of ionospheric parameter fmin were collected from the Yamagawa mid-latitude ionosonde station in *** most of the GRFs used in this study are associated with soft X-ray(SXR)emissions,detected by the Geostationary Operational Environmental Satellite(GOES),we classified them into three types:simultaneous(S),delayed(D)and not associated(N),refiecting the phase occurrence of the solar ***,the ionospheric D layer responds strongly to XRFs more than *** temporal profiles of the ionospheric parameter fmin show distinct behaviors as a response to the various GRF *** the case of the S-type,a single strong peak,with an average value of 5.2 MHz,emanates in the fmin profile within an average interval of time of less than half an *** the case of the D-type,two successive peaks appear in the fmin profile,with an average value of 6.0 MHz for the second peak through a time interval of one hour after the onset of gamma-ray(GR)*** response of the fmin parameter to the N-type fiares appears as a single peak with an average value of 4.8 MHz within about an *** notice that the difference between the fmin peak values and the corresponding reference ones(dfmin)is more convenient and representative than the fmin values,where the median GR fiux of the S-,D-and N-types tends to increase as the average dfmin increases.

Case-based surveillance measles data was defined according to World Health Organization （WHO） guidelines. A total of 511 measles cases were studied from 2011 to 2015 in Southern Darfur State, Sudan and 58.1% of cases were confirmed from Nyala city. About 43.4% of cases were males, 56.6% of cases were female, and 47.7% were children under five years old. Similarity, within February to June, the cases increased by 8.0% in children vaccinated through measles campaign, and 5.3% in children that used child vaccination card and 78.7% in unvaccinated one.

although much existing research has focussed on the impact of the current Covid-19 pandemic on mental health in general populations worldwide, there remains a gap in knowing how it impacts those especially vulnerable to negative psychological effects. The main objective of this study was to compare the mental health impact of the pandemic on people with and without a pre-existing psychiatric history. Another objective of this study was to explore this impact on a range of variables known to favor anxiety. Results confirmed that the negative mental health impact of the pandemic is significantly higher for those who could be seen to be especially vulnerable. They also confirmed most of the predicted variables significantly favor anxiety. Overall, the findings of this study not only helped to identify and confirm groups vulnerable to negative mental health outcomes following crises, but they could also help to tailor existing treatment options to them during future outbreaks and/or other pandemics.

This paper mainly studies Weather Stations part of the wind power station. The use of wind energy in practice is carried out using the facilities of the wind in which the kinetic energy of the windscreen flow is converted into mechanical energy wind speed, then electrical energy alternator. The effective operation of the wind turbine is dependent on the direction of the wind. Speed air density, which in turn depends on the temperature and humidity. Thus, the speed of the wind worked effectively in its composition must include the weather. Meteorological station also performs the role of prevention. When the sharp wind speed or increase wind speed above the maximum value, it sends a signal to the lock assembly wind to prevent wind turbine technology from damage. The work of the meteorological stations design as part of the Wind Energy Station is considered. The complex technical devices are used for its implementation. A set of technical means used to its implementation and designed system consists of a temperature, humidity, wind speed, wind direction and rain gauge sensors that are connected to PIC16f876A microcontroller.

Fixed-bed reactors for the catalytic partial oxidation of methane （CPOM） to produce synthesis gas still pose hot spots *** is a good alternative reactor proposed to resolve these *** this paper,synthesis gas （hydrogen and carbon monoxide） production was investigated by a two-dimensional numerical model of single *** fluid dynamic （CFD） modeling with detailed chemistry was conducted to understand the CPOM on platinum （Pt） *** inlet velocity,microchannel pressure,and fuel to air ratio （F/A） are selected as the effective parameters on microchannel *** results show that Reynolds number has considerable effect on methane conversion,hydrogen to carbon monoxide ratio （H2/CO）,and product *** gas inlet velocity causes all the above parameters to *** is noted that increasing microchannel pressure and decreasing the ratio of fuel to air cause the decrease of the H2/CO ratio.

A highly efficient,simple,and clean single-step sonosynthetic procedure has been sophisticated for assembling new series of mono-and bis-pyridine dicarbonitriles from ketones,HCl,and *** presented protocol is applicable for the preparation of a broad range of uniquely substituted pyridine dicarbonitriles and seems to be superior in comparison with other previously reported *** antiproliferative impact of the newly synthesized derivatives was screened towards three representative cancer cell lines(MCF-7,A549,and HCT116).Most of the evaluated derivatives showed a moderate to excellent anti-proliferative activity towards the selected cell *** these,compounds 4h,4k,10,12a,and 12b showed both potent anticancer activity(ICs058μM)on non-tumorigenic cells(MCF-10A and NCM460),suggesting their promising potential to be lead molecules for future antitumor drug *** structure-activity relationships have been also ***,quantum chemical studies based on Density Functional Theory(DFT)of the synthesized compounds were investigated and found to be consistent with the in vitro inhibitory activities.
