i. di.i.al si.nal processi.g (DSP), Nyqui.trate sampli.g completely descri.es a si.nal by exploi.i.g i.s bandli.i.edness. Compressed Sensi.g (CS), also known as compressi.e sampli.g, i. a DSP techni.ue effi.i.ntly acqui.i.g and reconstructi.g a si.nal completely from reduced number of measurements, by exploi.i.g i.s compressi.i.i.y. The measurements are not poi.t samples but more general li.ear functi.ns of the si.nal. CS can capture and represent sparse si.nals at a rate si.ni.i.antly lower than ordi.ari.y used i. the Shannon’s sampli.g theorem. i. i. i.teresti.g to noti.e that most si.nals i. reali.y are sparse;especi.lly when they are represented i. some domai. (such as the wavelet domai.) where many coeffi.i.nts are close to or equal to zero. A si.nal i. called K-sparse, i. i. can be exactly represented by a basi., , and a set of coeffi.i.nts , where only K coeffi.i.nts are nonzero. A si.nal i. called approxi.ately K-sparse, i. i. can be represented up to a certai. accuracy usi.g K non-zero coeffi.i.nts. As an example, a K-sparse si.nal i. the class of si.nals that are the sum of K si.usoi.s chosen from the N harmoni.s of the observed ti.e i.terval. Taki.g the DFT of any such si.nal would render only K non-zero values . An example of approxi.ately sparse si.nals i. when the coeffi.i.nts , sorted by magni.ude, decrease followi.g a power law. i. thi. case the sparse approxi.ati.n constructed by choosi.g the K largest coeffi.i.nts i. guaranteed to have an approxi.ati.n error that decreases wi.h the same power law as the coeffi.i.nts. The mai. li.i.ati.n of CS-based systems i. that they are employi.g i.erati.e algori.hms to recover the si.nal. The sealgori.hms are slow and the hardware soluti.n has become cruci.l for hi.her performance and speed. Maxi.um germi.ati.n di.tance（MGD） i. an i.portant component of Stri.a resi.tance i. sorghum. The objecti.e of thi. study was to determi.e gene acti.n i.fluenci.g MGD of Stri.a hermonthi.a and Stri.a asi.ti.a among selected sorghum li.es treated wi.h a bi.control agent, Fusari.m oxysporum f. sp. stri.ae（FOS） for effecti.e breedi.g wi.h Stri.a resi.tance, and FOS compati.i.i.y. Twelve sorghum genotypes were selected based on thei. Stri.a resi.tance, FOS compati.i.i.y, and superi.r agronomi. performance. Selected genotypes were crossed usi.g a bi.parental mati.g desi.n to generate si. fami.i.s for geneti. analysi.. Agar-gel assays were used to determi.e low haustori.m i.i.i.ti.n factor（LHF） usi.g the 12 parental li.es, thei. F_1 progeni.s, backcross deri.ati.es, and F_2 segregants i. two sets. One set had S. hermonthi.a seed and the other one had S. asi.ti.a seed. Both were treated wi.h and wi.hout FOS. Genotypes were evaluated usi.g a spli.-plot desi.n wi.h three repli.ati.ns and MGD data were recorded followed by generati.n mean analysi.. FOS reduced MGD by 1cm under both S. hermonthi.a and S. asi.ti.a i.festati.ns. Addi.i.e, domi.ance, and epi.tati. gene acti.ns were i.volved i. the control of MGD of the two Stri.a speci.s i. the evaluated populati.ns. On average, the relati.e contri.uti.n of addi.i.e, addi.i.e×addi.i.e and domi.ance×domi.ance geneti. effects on the MGD of S. hermonthi.a and S. asi.ti.a, wi.h FOS, were 20, 33, and 36%; and 21, 32, and 35%, respecti.ely. Our ai. was to i.vesti.ate the changes i. the myocardi.m sti.fness i.dex for pati.nts sufferi.g from systemi. hypertensi.n, and to assess thei. left ventri.ular performance. We studi.d 263 hypertensi.e pati.nts and 166 healthy subjects as a control group. By usi.g conventi.nal Doppler echocardi.graphy, the followi.g parameters were measured—Left ventri.ular end di.stoli. di.meter, left ventri.ular end systoli. di.meter, transmi.ral early veloci.y, i.ovolumi. relaxati.n ti.e, and i.ovolumi. contracti.n ti.e. Ti.sue Doppler i.agi.g (TDi. was used i. the measurements of the early mi.ral annular veloci.y (Ea) and the di.stoli. sti.fness was obtai.ed by calculati.g the rati. E\Ea\LVi.d. i.dex myocardi.l performance (i.P) was calculated accordi.g to followi.g equati.n (i.CT + i.RT)/ET for both the control group and hypertensi.e group. Results reveal that the di.ferences i. the average value of transmi.ral early fi.li.g veloci.y (E) between pati.nts and control groups for age range (20 - 49) and (50 - 80) were (𕒵.91%) and (𕒷.69%) respecti.ely wi.h p value >0.05 for both groups, and the changes i. LVi.d between pati.nts and control groups were 0.42% and 1.29% for age ranges (20 - 49) and (50 - 80) respecti.ely wi.h p value >0.05 for both age groups. A si.ni.i.ant di.ference i. i.P between pati.nts and controls has also been observed and the changes were 29.54% and 30.43% for age range (20 - 49) and (50 - 80) respecti.ely wi.h p value i. and for the measured LV sti.fness i.dex were si.ni.i.antly hi.her i. hypertensi.e pati.nts compared wi.h control group (p value 0.05) for both age groups. i. conclusi.n, LV myocardi.l di.stoli. sti.fness i.dex and i.P are i.creased i. hypertensi.e pati.nts.

i. thi. paper, we propose a framework that uses locali.ati.n for multi.objecti.e opti.i.ati.n to si.ultaneously gui.e an evoluti.nary algori.hm i. both the deci.i.n and objecti.e spaces. The locali.ati.n i. bui.t usi.g a li.i.ed number of adapti.e spheres （local models） i. the deci.i.n space. These spheres axe usually gui.ed, usi.g some di.ecti.n i.formati.n, i. the deci.i.n space towards the areas wi.h non-domi.ated soluti.ns. We use a second mechani.m to adjust the spheres to speci.li.e on di.ferent parts of the Paxeto front by usi.g a gui.ed domi.ance techni.ue i. the objecti.e space. Through thi. i.terleaved gui.ance i. both spaces, the spheres wi.l be gui.ed towards di.ferent parts of the Paxeto front whi.e also explori.g the deci.i.n space effi.i.ntly. The present work studi.s the envi.onmental i.otopes assess groundwater characteri.ti.s of the di.ferent parts of the mai. aqui.er i. the northeast Mi.san Provi.ce i. south of i.aq. Water samples of groundwater and surface water were collected for two dry and wet seasons duri.g the water year of 2011-2012. The study shows that most of the groundwater i. the aqui.er falls above the global meteori. water li.e, and all the samples fall below the Medi.erranean meteori. water li.e, i.di.ati.g that these samples are a mi.ture of two water types. The tri.i.m content of these samples supports thi. conclusi.n. The overall conclusi.n of thi. study i.di.ates that there are two sources of groundwater recharge i. the studi.d area： the ephemeral streams （Teeb and Dewerge） and major preci.i.ati.n sources. Accordi.g to the tri.i.m levels at or below one tri.i.m uni. （TU） obtai.ed from the water, supply wells are hi.hly confi.ed or ＂not vulnerable＂. Overall, the 3^H results i.ply that recent recharge has taken place duri.g the last four to fi.e decades. i. the recharge area, the hi.h tri.i.m content i. the southern part of the Teeb area suggests that the recharge ori.i.ates from rapi. i.fi.trati.n of surface runoff. Therefore, the groundwater resources i. the study area should be protected from contami.ati.n, because i. wi.l i.fluence the aqui.er i. a relati.ely short peri.d of ti.e i. any contami.ati.n enters the recharge areas of the aqui.er.

Di.betes (DM) and hypertensi.n (HT) cause changes i. cardi.c performance. Long-term di.betes and hypertensi.n can lead to changes i. cardi.c contracti.i.y, reduced left ventri.ular effi.i.ncy and heart fai.ure. The ai. of thi. study i. to evaluate the effect of the coexi.tence of di.betes melli.us and hypertensi.n on left ventri.ular myocardi.l performance and structural changes. The study i.volved 45 pati.nts wi.h essenti.l hypertensi.n and type 2 di.betes (14 males and 31 females, thei. mean age was 53.28 ± 13.28 years), and 45 healthy subjects (10 males and 35 females, thei. mean age was 48.11 ± 13.07 years) as a control group. Transthoraci. echocardi.graphy was done for all pati.nts. The echocardi.graphi. measurements i.cluded: left ventri.le i.ternal di.meter at end di.stole (LVi.d), left ventri.le i.ternal di.meter at end systole (LVi.s), peak veloci.y of early transmi.ral flow (E), peak veloci.y of late transmi.ral flow (A), ejecti.n fracti.n (EF%), i.ovolumi. relaxati.n ti.e (i.RT), i.ovolumi. contracti.n ti.e (i.CT) and ejecti.n ti.e (ET) from whi.h the i.dex of myocardi.l performance (i.P) was calculated. Results revealed a si.ni.i.ant change i. the rati. (E/A) between pati.nts and controls (-32.45%) wi.h p value p value 0.05. i. conclusi.n, di.beti. pati.nts wi.h hypertensi.n had an i.crease i. i.P and reduced E/A i.di.ati.g deteri.rati.n i. cardi.c performance despi.e normal ejecti.n fracti.n and i.si.ni.i.ant change i. Fresh frui.s are suscepti.le to brui.i.g, a common type of mechani.al damage duri.g harvest and at all stages of postharvest handli.g. i. quest of developi.g and adopti.n of strategi.s to reduce brui.e damage, i. i. of utmost i.portance to understand major factors i.fluenci.g brui.e suscepti.i.i.y of fresh produce at these stages. Thi. revi.w presents a cri.i.al di.cussi.n of factors affecti.g brui.i.g duri.g harvest and postharvest handli.g of fresh frui.s. Excessi.e compressi.n forces duri.g harvesti.g by handpi.ki.g or machi.es, and a seri.s of i.pacts duri.g harvesti.g, transport and packhouse operati.ns can cause severe brui.e damage. The revi.w has further revealed that brui.i.g i. dependent on a number of other factors such as produce maturi.y, ri.eni.g, harvest ti.e(duri.g the day or season) and ti.e lapse after harvest. The suscepti.i.i.y to brui.i.g i. partly dependent on how these factors alter the produce physi.logi.al and bi.chemi.al properti.s, and the envi.onmental condi.i.ns such as temperature, humi.i.y and several other postharvest treatments. Hence, the successful appli.ati.ns of harvesti.g techni.ues by use of trai.ed personnel and proper harvesti.g equi.ment are essenti.l to reduce both the i.ci.ence and severi.y of ***, the careful selecti.n of postharvest handli.g temperature and other treatments can i.crease resi.tance of fresh produce to brui.e damage.
