Factors Influencing th. Morph.logical Ch.racteristics of Village Ch.ckens’ Genetic Resources in th. Abu-Dh.bi Emirate, UAE

Th. study was accomplish.d to identify th. ch.racteristics of village ch.ckens’ (VCs) genetic resources in th. Abu-Dh.bi Emirate of United Arab Emirate (UAE) and to study factors affecting th.se ch.racteristics. Each.bird was individually observed, identified, measured and ch.racterized of th.rteen VCs pure breeds and crossbreds. Th. overall VCs h.d normal feath.r morph.logy (95.1%) and distribution (77%). Except for Fayomi ch.ckens wh.ch.were 100% mottled, no specific plumage pattern was found. Almost 52% of th. VCs h.d wh.te skins. Six different colors were reported for th. sh.nks and maximized for wh.te sh.nks (34.3%). Large breasts (46%) were more available. Th. predominant plumage color was mixed colors (37.5%). Face size tended to be small (42.8%) to medium (40.4%). More brown (48.9%) th.n orange (27.3%) eyes were found. Dark (49.7%) beaks were more available th.n wh.te (28.6%) or yellow (21.7%) beaks. Th. distribution of wattle colors was similar to th.t of ear-lob colors with.some variation. Small wattles (41.9%) were most available. Single comb (82.4%) is th. most available;11 oth.r types and one with.no comb were represented with.low frequencies. In th. wh.le sample, red and wh.te combs (56.7%) were th. most available;h.wever, plain red (23.8%) and red and black (15.5%) were represented. Results of factors influence sh.wed th.t body weigh. was h.gh.significantly (P h. interaction between both.breed and region and breed and sex. Significant (P h. wing span and sh.nk length. Th. interaction between breed and sex only significantly (P h.nk length. Polycyclic aromatic h.drocarbon in rain and street runoff in Amman, Jordan

Concentrations of polycyclic aromatic h.drocarbons(PAh.) were determined in th. rain and street runoff samples from two sites in th. vicinity of Amman City during th. pluvial period 1999—2000. Th. results sh.wed th.t elevated levels of PAh. were detected in th. city center(site 1) th.n th. residential area(site 2) and th.t th. levels were h.gh.r in street runoff th.n rain samples of th. same sites. Th. h.gh.st concentration of PAh. in both.street runoff and rain samples were observed in th. first rainy month.November 1999) wh.ch.indicated a wash.out effect of PAh. originating from veh.cular emission accumulated during th. long dry summer season before sampling. With.n th. investigated cold winter seasons, fluctuations in PAh. concentration were observed. Th. variation was attributed to th. fossil combustion for h.ating purposes and to intervals between rainfalls: as th. longer th. intervals between rains were, th. h.gh.r th. PAh.concentration were. Removal of PAh. from th. atmosph.re th.ough.precipitation over th. investigated period varied with.time and places depending on th. amount of rainfall wh.re h.gh.r rainfall removed h.gh.r amount of PAh. from th. atmosph.re. Th. amount of PAh. wash.d out th.ough.precipitation was estimated to be around 14.8 mg/m 2 and 21.1 mg/m 2 for sites 1 and 2 respectively.

In th.s article, we investigate th. existence of Pseudo solutions for some fractional order boundary value problem with.integral boundary conditions in th. Banach.space of continuous function equipped with.its weak topology. Th. class of such.problems constitute a very interesting and important class of problems. Th.y include two, th.ee, multi-point and nonlocal boundary-value problems as special cases. In our investigation, th. righ. h.nd side of th. above problem is assumed to be Pettis integrable function. To encompass th. full scope of th.s article, we give an example illustrating th. main result.

Second Order Th.ee-point Boundary Value Problems in Abstract Spaces

In th.s paper we investigate th. existence of solutions of th. nonh.mogeneous th.ee-point boundaryvalue problem We search.for solutions of th. above problem in th. Banach.space of continuous functions C（[O, 1], E） with.th. Pettis integrability assumptions imposed on $. Some classes of Pettis-integrable functions are described in th. paper and exploited in th. proofs of main results. We stress on a class of pseudo-solutions of considered problem. Our results extend previous results of th. same type for both.Boch.er and Pettis integrability settings. Similar results are also proved for differential inclusions i.e. wh.n f is a multivalued function.

Retting h.s been employed to extract natural fibers from agricultural wastes as a biological and cost-effective approach.for *** its global abundance,banana pseudo-stem is a promising agro-waste for lignocellulosic fiber *** th.s study,fibers were extracted from th. pseudo-stems after being pre-treated under four conditions using seawater at room temperature for up to 35 d Bacterial isolation from th. fresh.seawater sample and screening for ligninolytic ability were *** load as well as laccase and manganese peroxidase enzyme activity profile assay during th. retting duration were *** transform infrared(FT-IR)and X-day diffraction(XRD)analyses were also examined for both.pre-treated and untreated extracted *** results sh.ws th.t six out of th. eigh. bacterial isolates h.d th. ability to degrade *** treatments(Raw stem+Raw seawater)and(Autoclaved stem+Raw seawater)recorded th. h.gh.st viable bacterial load of 9.24×102 and 4.46×102 CFU,respectively,on th. 14th.day of th. retting ***,th. h.gh.st laccase and manganese peroxidase enzymes activity was recorded for(Raw stem+Raw seawater)and(Autoclaved stem+Raw seawater)treatments in th. second to th. th.rd *** FT-IR spectra of th. pre-treated fibers revealed relative reductions in peaks attributed to polysacch.rides and oth.r amorph.us substances for all retting *** XRD diffractogram revealed th.t th. crystallinity index(CI)of pre-treated fibers increased in all seawater retting treatment ***,th. Internet of Th.ngs(IoT)and mobile devices h.ve rapidly proliferated,th.ir computationally intensive applications h.ve developed into complex,concurrent IoT-based workflows involving multiple interdependent *** exploiting its low latency and h.gh.bandwidth.mobile edge computing(MEC)h.s emerged to ach.eve th. h.gh.performance computation offloading of th.se applications to satisfy th. quality-of-service requirements of workflows and *** th.s study,we propose an offloading strategy for IoT-based workflows in a h.gh.performance MEC *** proposed task-based offloading strategy consists of an optimization problem th.t includes task dependency,communication costs,workflow constraints,device energy consumption,and th. h.terogeneous ch.racteristics of th. edge *** addition,th. optimal placement of workflow tasks is optimized using a discrete teach.ng learning-based optimization(DTLBO)*** experimental evaluations demonstrate th.t th. proposed offloading strategy is effective at minimizing th. energy consumption of mobile devices and reducing th. execution times of workflows compared to offloading strategies using different metah.uristics,including particle swarm optimization and ant colony optimization.

On th. Relationsh.p between Climatic Variables and Pressure Systems over Saudi Arabia in th. Winter Season

Th. synoptic circulation over Saudi Arabia is complicated and frequently governed by th. effect of large-scale pressure systems. In th.s work, we used NCEP–NCAR global data to illustrate th. relationsh.p between climatic variables and th. main pressure systems th.t affect th. weath.r and climate of Saudi Arabia, and also to investigate th. influence of th.se pressure systems on surface air temperature（SAT） and rainfall over th. region in th. winter season. It was found th.t th.re are two primary patterns of pressure th.t influence th. weath.r and climate of Saudi Arabia. Th. first occurs in cases of a strength.ning Subtropical h.gh.Sub h., a weakening Siberian h.gh.Sib h., a deepening of th. Icelandic Low（Ice L）, or a weakening of th. Sudanese Low（Sud L）. During th.s pattern, th. Sub h.combines with.th. Sib h.and an obvious increase of sea level pressure（SLP） occurs over south.rn European, th. Mediterranean, North.Africa, and th. Middle East. Th.s belt of h.gh.pressure prevents interaction between midlatitude and extratropical systems, wh.ch.leads to a decrease in th. SAT,relative h.midity（Rh. and rainfall over Saudi Arabia. Th. second pattern occurs in association with.a weakening of th. Sub h. a strength.ning of th. Sib h. a weakening of th. Ice L, or a deepening of th. Sud L. Th. pattern arising in th.s case leads to an interaction between two different air masses： th. first（cold moist） air mass is associated with.th. Mediterranean depression travelling from west to east, wh.le th. second（warm moist） air mass is associated with.th. north.ard oscillation of th. Sud L and its inverted V-sh.pe trough. Th. interaction between th.se two air masses increases th. SAT, Rh.and th. probability of rainfall over Saudi Arabia, especially over th. north.est and north.ast regions.
