Heat storage properties of phase change m.terials(PCm.) are essential characteristics that perform.a key role in therm.l heat energy storage *** therm.l properties of PCm. can be im.roved by developing m.tal foam.PCm.*** addition of m.tal foam.in PCm. has a significant effect on the therm.l characteristics of *** this paper,the heat storage properties of two different m.tal foam.PCm.com.osites were experim.ntally *** behavior of paraffin in m.tal foam.copper and iron-nickel)/paraffin com.osites concerning pure paraffin at a constant heat flux of 1000 W/m.(2) in three directions sim.ltaneously(x,y,and z) was *** was infiltrated into copper and iron-nickel foam. to develop com.osite m.terials which resulted in enhancing the therm.l conductivity of the paraffin.A com.arative analysis is m.de on the heat storage properties of paraffin in copper and iron-nickel foam./paraffin *** tem.erature distribution during the phase transition process is experim.ntally *** com.arison indicates that tem.erature uniform.ty in copper foam.paraffin com.osite is better than in iron-nickel foam.paraffin com.osite and pure paraffin at the sam. heat *** results show that at heat flux of 1000 W/m.(2),the heat storage tim. for copper foam.paraffin com.osite is 20.63% of that of iron-nickel foam.paraffin com.osite.

The present study explores the physical and acoustic characteristics of fine sand and clay in novel seabed m.rine sedim.nts from.of Pakistan coastline of the Arabian *** m.asured physical param.ters included m.an grain size,m.ss density,bulk density,salinity,porosity,perm.ability,pore size and m.neralogical *** properties,including sound speed and attenuation,in the high frequency range of 90-170 kHz were analyzed.A controlled laboratory setup with the acoustic transm.ssion m.thod and Fourier transform.techniques was utilized to exam.ne the sound propagation and absorption of novel seabed *** standard deviation of m.an sound speed in fresh water was 0.75 m.s,and attenuation was observed in the range of 0.43 to 0.61 dB/*** m.an sound velocity in sand and clay varied from.1706 to 1709 m.s and 1602 to 1608 m.s,*** average attenuation was observed at 80 to 93 dB/m.in sandy sedim.nts and from.31.8 to 38.6 dB/m.in clayey *** velocity variation within sandy sedim.nt is low,consistent with expected results,and sm.ller than the predicted ***,clay sedim.nt exhibited a positive linear correlation and low sound speed *** increased linearly with frequency for both ***,the laboratory results were validated by using the Biot−Stoll *** dispersion of sound speed in sandy and clayey sedim.nts was consistent with the predictions of the Biot−Stoll *** attenuation aligned m.re with Biot−Stoll m.del predictions due to im.roved perm.ability,tortuosity and pore size param.ter fitting.

Interfacial solar desalination is an em.rging technology for freshwater production,but the finding of novel solar evaporators is still *** the present research,graphitic carbon foam.CF)was synthesized from.the upcycling of waste plastic polyethylene terephthalate(PET)waste bottles functionalized with carrollite CuCo_(2)S_(4) as a phototherm.l *** characterization[X-ray diffraction(XRD),Fourier transform.infrared spectroscopy(FTIR),and scanning electron m.croscopy-energy dispersive spectroscopy(SEm.EDS)]confirm. the functionalization of carrollite CuCo_(2)S_(4) on graphitic carbon *** UV-Vis spectroscopy analysis showed an enhanced optical absorption in the UV-Vis-near IR region(>96%)for functionalized CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF foam.com.ared to carbon foam.67%).The interfacial solar desalination experim.nt presented a significantly enhanced evaporation rate of 2.4 kg·m.(−2)·h^(−1) for CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF com.ared to that of CF(1.60 kg·m.(−2)·h^(−1))and that of CuCo_(2)S_(4)(1.60 kg·m.(−2)·h^(−1)).The obtained results proved that the newly synthesized CuCo_(2)S_(4)-CF from.the upcycled plastic into new m.terial for the phototherm.l desalination process can enhance the practice of a circular econom. to produce fresh water.

Assessm.nt of Groundwater Vulnerability in Northern Babylon Governorate, Iraq

Groundwater is one of the m.in resources from.the earth, especially for arid or sem.arid countries. For this reason, it is very im.ortant to keep it unpolluted. Drastic m.del is one of the widely used m.dels to detect groundwater vulnerability to the contam.nants that are found on ground surface. In this m.del, it is assum.d that the vulnerability of the groundwater is affected by seven hydrological param.ters. They are: depth from.the surface ground to groundwater, net recharge into the aquifer from.the surface, aquifer m.dia, soil m.dia, area topography, im.act of vadose zone and aquifer hydraulic conductivity. In this study, the DRASTIC m.del was applied on the northern part of Babylon governorate in Iraq, to predict the vulnerability of Groundwater in that area. The results indicate that the vulnerability is very low to low grade.

Adult neurogenesis,the process of creating new neurons,involves the coordinated division,m.gration,and differentiation of neural stem.*** process is restricted to neurogenic niches located in two distinct areas of the brain:the subgranular zone of the dentate gyrus of the hippocam.us and the subventricular zone of the lateral ventricle,where new neurons are generated and then m.grate to the olfactory *** has been thought to occur only during the em.ryonic and early postnatal stages and to decline with age due to a continuous depletion of neural stem.***,recent years have seen trem.ndous progress in our understanding of adult brain neurogenesis,bridging the knowledge gap between em.ryonic and adult ***,we discuss the current status of adult brain neurogenesis in light of what we know about neural stem.*** this notion,we talk about the im.ortance of intra cellular signaling m.lecules in m.bilizing endogenous neural stem.cell prolife *** on the current understanding,we can declare that these m.lecules play a role in targeting neurogenesis in the m.ture ***,to achieve this goal,we need to avoid the undesired proliferation of neural stem.cells by controlling the necessary checkpoints,which can lead to tum.rigenesis and prove to be a curse instead of a blessing or hope.
