The article provides information on the distribution and importance of the Cistanche family in the Buk.ara region. Four species of the genus Cistanche mongolica Beck., Cistanche flava (C. A. Mey.) k.rsh., Cistanche ambigua (Bunge) Beck., Cistanche salsa (C. A. Mey.) Beck. have been identified in this region. The species has been identified as host plants in different ecological environments and parasitic. Among the Cistanche species, C. salsa and C. flava are common in the study area. It has been noted in laboratory experiments that their medicinal properties are higher than those of other species.

The article presents data on the ethnobotanical characteristics of 12 species of medicinal and food plants in the Buk.ara region, where the climatic conditions are specific, hot and dry. These plants were used by the local population in ancient times and now as food and natural remedies. As a result of the study, data on the use of medicinal plants in food were collected on the basis of surveys of rural residents, housewives and elderly people of the city of Buk.ara and the region. It is worth noting that due to the demand of the modern era, the study of the nutritional and therapeutic aspects of medicinal plants that grow naturally, their scientific and practical significance, determines the possibility of their use in folk.medicine.

The article presents the results of research conducted in Dengizk.l and around this area. It identifies plant species in and around the lak. and analyzes species composition. As a result of the analysis, 70 species of tall plants belonging to 24 families were identified in the lak.. The identified species are divided into aquatic and riparian plants. Of these, 18 species are found in lak. water and 52 species in its vicinity. The low number of high plant species in the lak. water is due to the salinity of the water. The protection of this area is based on the natural conservation of the surrounding plant population.

Lak. k.rak.r (system of lak.s) is located in the north west of Buk.ara Oasis, it consists of 3 small lak.s—a large k.rak.r, a small k.rak.r and an aquarium. The total area of the lak. is 26.5 - 27.2 thousand hectares. As a result of the research carried out in Lak. k.rak.r, 16 families of high water plants, 34 species belonging to 24 categories were identified. The study was carried out mainly on a large spruce and an aquarium. Phragmites australis (Cav.) Trin. ex Steud. (Cav.) Trin. ex Steud. as the dominant species of high water plants, Typha angustifolia L., T. laxmannii Lepech., T. minima Funck. lik. species are most common.
