Currently,the sentiment analysis research in the Malaysian context lacks in terms of the availability of the sentiment ***,this issue is addressed in this paper in order to enhance the accuracy of sentiment *** this study,a new lexicon for sentiment analysis is constructed.A detailed review of existing approaches has been conducted,and a new bilingual sentiment lexicon known as MELex(Malay-English Lexicon)has been *** MELex involves three activities:seed words selection,polarity assignment,and synonym *** approach differs from previous works in that MELex can analyze text for the two most widely used languages in Malaysia,Malay,and English,with the accuracy achieved,is 90%.It is evaluated based on the experimentation and case study approaches where the affordable housing projects in Malaysia are selected as case *** finding has given an implication on the ability of MELex to analyze public sentiments in the Malaysian *** novel aspects of this paper are ***,it introduces the new technique in assigning the polarity score,and second,it improves the performance over the classification of mixed language content.

Background: Postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) is the major contributor to maternal mortality and morbidity worldwide as well as in Tanzania. Studies have shown Pre-eclampsia as a risk indicator for Postpartum hemorrhage and D-dimer tends to rise in women with pre-eclampsia. Few studies that have shown the association between D-dimer and PPH have been controversial and differ according to ethnicity and lifestyle. Hence there is no suitable reference interval for D-dimer in predicting Postpartum hemorrhage among women with pre-eclampsia. Broad Objective: This study aimed to assess the association, sensitivity, and specificity of D-dimer as a laboratory predictor of postpartum hemorrhage among women with pre-eclampsia at KCMC hospital. Methodology: This was a hospital-based analytical cross-sectional study conducted at KCMC Hospital in Northern Tanzania from September 2022 to March 2023. A total of 195 women with pre-eclampsia were included in this study. Plasma D-dimer levels were taken from women with pre-eclampsia pre-delivery. Haematocrit was compared before and after delivery, and a fall of 10% was considered as Postpartum hemorrhage together with clinical assessment of the patient. Participants were divided among those who had severe features and those who did not have severe features and were further categorized into those who had PPH and those who did not have PPH. Logistic regression was used to determine the association between D-dimer and PPH adjusting for other factors. The Receiver Operating Curve (ROC) was used to evaluate the predictive value. Results: Higher median D-dimer levels were seen among women who had PPH compared to those who had no PPH. D-dimer was seen to be associated with PPH, thus for every unit increase of µg/ml of D-dimer among women who had pre-eclampsia without severe features there was a 14% significant increase in the odds of having postpartum hemorrhage and a 45% significant increase of having postpartum hemorrhage among those who had pre

Plant-parasitic nematodes cause various diseases that can be fatal to the infected *** causes losses to the agricultural industry,such as crop failure and poor crop *** an accurate nematode classification system is vital for pest identification and *** learning classification techniques can help speed up Nematode identification as it can perform tasks directly from *** the present study,four state-of-the-art deep learning models(ResNet101v2,CoAtNet-0,Effi-cientNetV2B0,and EfficientNetV2M)were evaluated in plantparasitic nematode classification from microscopic *** models were trained using a combination of three different optimizers(Adam,SGD,dan RMSProp)and several data augmentation with image transformations,such as image flip,blurring,noise addition,brightness,and contrast *** performance of the trained models was *** test accuracy,EfficientNetV2B0 and EfficientNetV2M using RMSProp and brightness augmentation give the best result of 97.94%However,the overall performance of EfficientNetV2M was superior,with 98.66%mean class accuracy,97.99%F1 score,98.26%average precision,and 97.94%average recall.

Laevistrombus canarium is one of the marine gastropod mollusks that have high commercial value,particularly in the aquaculture sector in *** study was conducted to determine the feeding and food items of *** at dif ferent ontogenetic stages(juveniles,sub-adults and adults)from Merambong shoals,*** observations on feeding activity were conducted,followed by detailed laboratory analysis on the stomach ***-minutes observations on randomly selected individuals were conducted at the fi eld sampling site and their feeding activities were recorded with reference to age *** shell sizes from each ontogenetic stage were randomly collected and quickly anaesthetized with ice and preserved in 10%formalin before being transported to the laboratory for stomach content *** observations showed that *** mainly grazed on epiphytes occurring on seagrass(46.67%),followed by sediment surface(40%)and epiphytes occurring on macroalgae(13.33%).Stomach content analyses showed a signifi cant dif ference(P0.05)was detected between the three main food items(diatoms,sand particles and detritus)among the ontogenetic ***,feeding activity revealed the role of the dog conch in the marine food ***,classifi cation of the types of food consumed by *** through stomach content analysis determines the particular position of the gastropod in the food *** studies are needed to provide a better insight between trophic relationships of *** with marine

Efficacy and safety of latanoprost/timolol fixed combination dosed twice daily compared to once daily in patients with primary open angle glaucoma

AIM:To evaluate whether latanoprost/timolol fixed combination(LTFC)dosed twice daily may provide further intraocular pressure(IOP)reduction and evaluate the safety profile at this ***:This is an open-labeled,randomized,prospective crossover study on fourty primary open angle glaucoma *** weeks of washout period were followed by randomization to either once daily(OD,group A)or twice daily dosing(BD,group B)of LTFC for *** another 2-week washout period,the patients’treatment dose was crossed-over for another *** reduction alongside ocular and systemic side effects were ***:Mean baseline IOP was 18.57±2.93 and 17.8±3.01 mm Hg before OD and BD dose respectively,(P=0.27).Mean IOP after BD dose was statistically lower(12.49±1.59 mm Hg)compared to OD(13.48±1.81 mm Hg,P=0.017).Although IOP reduction after BD dose was more(5.32±3.24 mm Hg,29.89%)than after OD dosing(5.04 mm Hg,27.14%),it did not reach statistical significance(P=0.68).Patients switched from OD to BD(group A)showed mean IOP reduction by 0.69 mm Hg[95%confidence interval(CI):-0.09 to 1.48 mm Hg,P=0.078];but patients switched from BD to OD(group B)had significantly higher mean IOP by 1.25 mm Hg(95%CI:-2.04 to-0.46 mm Hg,P=0.006).BD dose had more ocular side effects albeit ***:Mean IOP after LTFC dosed twice daily is statistically lower,with additional mild side effects.

Mitogen-activated protein kinases(MAPKs) are the main regulators of cellular proliferation, growth, and survival in physiological or pathological conditions. Aberrant MAPK signaling plays a pivotal role in carcinogenesis, which leads to development and progression of human cancer. Dual-specificity phosphatase 6(DUSP6), a member of the MAPK phosphatase family, interacts with specifically targeted extracellular signal-regulated kinase 1/2 via negative feedback regulation in the MAPK pathway of mammalian cells. This phosphatase functions in a dual manner, pro-oncogenic or tumor-suppressive, depending on the type of cancer. To date, the tumor-suppressive role of DUSP6 has been demonstrated in pancreatic cancer, non-small cell lung cancer, esophageal squamous cell and nasopharyngeal carcinoma, and ovarian cancer. Its pro-oncogenic role has been observed in human glioblastoma, thyroid carcinoma, breast cancer, and acute myeloid carcinoma. Both roles of DUSP6 have been documented in malignant melanoma depending on the histological subtype of the cancer. Loss-or gain-of-function effects of DUSP6 in these cancers highlights the significance of this phosphatase in carcinogenesis. Development of methods that use the DUSP6 gene as a therapeutic target for cancer treatment or as a prognostic factor for diagnosis and evaluation of cancer treatment outcome has great potential. This review focuses on molecular characteristics of the DUSP6 gene and its role in cancers in the purview of development, progression, and cancer treatment outcome.

Background:Habitat degradation is known to have a major impact on the composition of bird communities,yet how these communities recover following such disturbance is less *** study examined bird community changes from pre-logging to recovery over the course of habitat disturbance caused by the development of the Hulu Terengganu Hydroelectric Dam Project in Peninsular Malaysia,between 2007 and *** surveys were conducted using point count observations and mist netting in the dam area from the prelogging phase until the operation ***:It was observed that while bird species significantly declined after large-scale habitat clearance between the pre-logging and construction phases,they showed positive signs of recovery from the inundation to operation *** findings indicate that the bird community is still recovering,and the permanent loss of habitat required by most of the original species has not occurred,as evidenced by *** species composition differed across phases due to varying habitat *** turnover rate and immigration rate(recolonisation and newly recorded species)were higher between the construction and operation *** was also observed that insectivorous birds were more heavily affected than others by changes to the landscape,which highlights the versatility,survivability and tolerance of certain species to extreme disturbance and habitat ***:Although the operation phase showed an incremental change in bird species richness due to recolonisation and newly recorded species,this value remains far from that of the pre-logging *** predict that bird species recovery will continue to increase for some time before reaching a plateau among the newly created islands,reservoir and catchment area of the dam.

A simple and rapid HPTLC analytical method has been developed and validated for the determination of Etanercept and Filgrastim in pure form and in marketed formulation. Both the drugs were chromatographed on silica gel 60 F254s HPTLC plates, as stationary phase. The mobile phase optimized for Filgrastim and Etanercept was Water: n-butanol (7.5:2.5 v/v) and Isopropyl alcohol: water (6.5:4.5 v/v), respectively. The chromatogram obtained was scanned at 225 nm and 222 nm for filgrastim and etanercept which resulted in a retention factor of 0.45 ± 0.07 and 0.32 ± 0.03, respectively. The method was validated for parameters like linearity, accuracy, precision, specificity and robustness. Recovery studies were performed at three concentration levels, to demonstrate suitability, accuracy and precision of proposed method. Statistical analysis proved that the proposed method is accurate and reproducible with linearity in the range of 500 to 3000 ng/band for filgrastim and 200 to 1200 ng/band for etanercept. The limit of detection and limit of quantification for filgrastim was found to be 63.418 ng/band and 192.177 ng/band. For etanercept, LOD and LOQ were found to be 33.381 ng/band and 101.153 ng/band, respectively. The proposed method can be employed for the routine analysis of selected biosimilars.
