Multi-scale data joint inversion of minerals and porosity in altered igneous reservoirs—A case study in the South China Sea

There are abundant igneous gas reservoirs in the South China Sea with significant value of research,and lithology classification,mineral analysis and porosity inversion are important links in reservoir ***,affected by the diverse lithology,complicated mineral and widespread alteration,conventional logging lithology classification and mineral inversion become considerably *** the same time,owing to the limitation of the wireline log response equation,the quantity and accuracy of minerals can hardly meet the exploration requirements of igneous *** overcome those issues,this study takes the South China Sea as an example,and combines multi-scale data such as micro rock slices,petrophysical experiments,wireline log and element cutting log to establish a set of joint inversion methods for minerals and porosity of altered igneous ***,we define the lithology and mineral characteristics through core slices and mineral data,and establish an igneous multi-mineral volumetric *** we determine element cutting log correction method based on core element data,and combine wireline log and corrected element cutting log to perform the lithology classification and joint inversion of minerals and ***,it is always difficult to determine the elemental eigenvalues of different minerals in *** paper uses multiple linear regression methods to solve this ***,an integrated inversion technique for altered igneous formations was *** results show that the corrected element cutting log are in good agreement with the core element data,and the mineral and porosity results obtained from the joint inversion based on the wireline log and corrected element cutting log are also in good agreement with the core data from X-ray *** results demonstrate that the inversion technique is applicable and this study provides a new direction for the mineral inversion research of altered igneous formation

Background Hemolytic anemia, elevated liver enzymes and low platelet count （HELLP） syndrome is a severe obstetric complication which usually resolves in most patients after *** We report a rare case of aggravation of HELLP syndrome after *** The patient underwent the treatment for HELLP syndrome,.including glucocorticoid therapy. The symptoms of HELLP syndrome reappeared and became more severe than before the termination of pregnancy. The patient also had severe and persistent hypoproteinemia, hyponatremia and *** HELLP syndrome is an acute and critical obstetric syndrome which can have heterogeneous presentations and variable prognosis. We should be fully aware of the diverse clinical characteristics of this condition.

Arthroscopic debridement of osteoarthritic elbow in professional athletes

Background Arthroscopic debridement is an appropriate procedure for osteoarthritic elbow in general populations. However, the results of arthroscopic debridement in the professional athletes, a younger and highly active patient cohort is unclear. The purposes of this study were to assess the clinical outcomes of arthroscopic debridement of osteoarthritic elbow in professional athletes and to evaluate the effect of prognostic factors on the clinical outcomes. Methods From January 1999 to January 2006, 35 professional athletes with osteoarthritc elbow （36 elbows） were treated with arthroscopic debridement, consisted of osteophytes removal, loose bodies removal and fenestration of the olecranon fossa as necessary. Average patient age was （23＋5） years （range 7-34 years）. Average follow-up was （43＋23） months （range 16-98 months）. Athletic activities consisted mainly of wrestling, judo and weightlifting. Patients were evaluated preoperatively and postoperatively with the modified Hospital for Special Surgery （HSS） elbow scoring system. Results According to the modified HSS elbow scoring system, the result was excellent for 16 elbows, good for 14 and poor for 6. No case had got worse after surgery. All athletes reported an improvement in pain. After athletic training, 15 elbows were not painful, 16 mildly painful, 3 moderately painful and 2 severely painful. The arc of flexion-extension improved from 111° preoperatively to 127° postoperatively. All of the athletes were able to return to their previous level of training. Five athletes won national-level championships. At follow-up, 17 athletes （18 elbows） were greatly satisfied with the results, 12 satisfied and 6 unsatisfied. Postoperatively, one athlete reported ulnar nerve symptoms and two others had residual loose bodies. Rare pulmonary and cerebral complications after transarterial chemoembolisation for hepatocellular carcinoma:A case report

We report a rare case of acute pulmonary and cerebral complication after transarterial chemoembolisation (TACE) for inoperable hepatocellular carcinoma. The case involved a large tumor and hepatic vein invasion. Nonspecific pulmonary and cerebral symptoms such as acute dyspnoea and transient consciousness loss developed in the patient, a 49-year-old woman, following the TACE due to pulmonary and cerebral oil embolism. The chest and brain conditions of this patient improved after some supportive therapies and nursing interventions. She also subsequently completed the other three procedures of TACE.

Zeeman Effect of the Rovibronic Ground State of I35Cl at Hyperfine Level

Zeeman effect at the hyperfine level of the rovibronic ground state of I35Cl are determined on the basis of ｜I1JF1I2FMF｜ via an effective Hamiltonian matrix diagonalization method. Perturbations of the Zeeman sub- levels are observed and the perturbation selection rules are summarized as well. Several potential applications of such Zeeman effect are suggested.

Study of deep transportation and plugging performance of deformable gel particles in porous media

Deformable gel particles(DGPs) possess the capability of deep profile control and flooding. However, the deep migration behavior and plugging mechanism along their path remain unclear. Breakage, an inevitable phenomenon during particle migration, significantly impacts the deep plugging effect. Due to the complexity of the process, few studies have been conducted on this subject. In this paper, we conducted DGP flow experiments using a physical model of a multi-point sandpack under various injection rates and particle sizes. Particle size and concentration tests were performed at each measurement point to investigate the transportation behavior of particles in the deep part of the reservoir. The residual resistance coefficient and concentration changes along the porous media were combined to analyze the plugging performance of DGPs. Furthermore, the particle breakage along their path was revealed by analyzing the changes in particle size along the way. A mathematical model of breakage and concentration changes along the path was established. The results showed that the passage after breakage is a significant migration behavior of particles in porous media. The particles were reduced to less than half of their initial size at the front of the porous media. Breakage is an essential reason for the continuous decreases in particle concentration, size, and residual resistance coefficient. However, the particles can remain in porous media after breakage and play a significant role in deep plugging. Higher injection rates or larger particle sizes resulted in faster breakage along the injection direction, higher degrees of breakage, and faster decreases in residual resistance coefficient along the path. These conditions also led to a weaker deep plugging ability. Smaller particles were more evenly retained along the path, but more particles flowed out of the porous media, resulting in a poor deep plugging effect. Relationship between age and prostate size

In a community-based study, the relationship between age and human prostate size was investigated in a population of men between the ages of 40 and 70 years to determine the normal prostate increase curve equation. One thousand male volunteers were randomly recruited from the Shanghai community, and the length, width, height, volume of the transition zone （TZ） and the whole prostates were measured by transrectal ultrasound （TRUS）. Each volunteer was evaluated bythe International Prostate Symptom Score （IPSS）. Among those who completed the examination, the mean prostate parameters were all positively associated with increased age. There were statistically significant differences between each age group （P〈O.05）. The mean transition zone volume （TZV） had a higher increase rate with age than the mean total prostate volume （TPV）, indicating that the enlargement of the TZ contributed the most to the increase in TPV. While all prostate parameters were positively correlated with the IPSS, the strongest correlation was associated with the TZ length （TZL） and TZV.
