Crystalline-amorphous M@MN_x(M=Co,Fe,Ni)encapsulated in nitrogen-doped carbon for enhanced efficient and durable hydrogen evolution reaction

Developing earth-abundant electrocatalysts for hydrogen evolution reaction(HER)is important for the sustainable energy ***,efficient and stable heterocatalysts consisting of crystalline-amorphous M@MN_(x)(M=Co,Fe,Ni)encapsulated in N-doped carbon layers supported with N-doped graphene sheets(denoted as M@MN_(x)@NC-NG)are synthesized by facile hydrothermal reaction and nitridation *** the nitriding process,metal ions in M(tzbc)_2(H_(2)O)_4(tzbc=4-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)benzoic acid)complexes are reduced to crystalline M cores,accompanied by the formation of amorphous MN_(x)shells;the tzbc ligands are insitu carbonized to form outermost N-doped carbon(NC)layers that connect with inner MN_(x)via M-N-C motifs inherited from the complex precursors and inhibit the transition of MN_(x)from amorphous to crystalline *** Co@CoN_(x)@NC-NG catalyst exhibits excellent HER activity with small overpotentials of 45 and 64 mV at a cathode current density of 10 mA·cm^(-2)and low Tafel slopes of 40 and 85 mV·dec^(-1)in 0.5 mol·L^(-1)H_(2)SO_4 and1.0 mol·L^(-1)KOH electrolytes,*** Co@CoN_(x)@NC-NG retains 97%of the initial overpotential after 100,000 s in both acidic and alkaline *** outstanding HER performance originates from the crystalline-amorphous Co@CoN_(x)that redistributes electrons around the heterointerfaces,facilitating the conversion process of H^(+)/H_(2)O to hydrogen and thereby promoting HER *** outermost NC layers serve as the armor of Co@CoN_(x),and graphene nanosheets act as carriers of egg-like Co@CoN_(x)@NC and conduction paths for electron shuttles,ensuring stable and continuous electrocatalytic hydrogen production.

Value-added anticancer reactivity of sub-5 nm Ag-drug nanoparticles derived from organosilver (Ⅰ) MOF

A totally structure-determined organosilver(I) metal-oganic framework(MOF) of [{Ag_(18)(CF_3COO)_(18)(H_2O)_2}{Ag_4(erlotinib)_4}]_n·7nCH_3OH·3nH_2O(1) was first synthesized by the self-assembly of erlotinib drug ligand and silver salts in the study. 1 formed a NbO-like 3D network, which was built from Ag(I)-erlotinib induced chains and 18-core silver(I) nanoclusters. When 1 was dispersed in methanol solution, it formed derivative nanoparticles(1-NPs) with the average size of 3.81 nm. Silver(Ⅰ) ion is an efficient reactive oxygen species(ROS) evocator, whereas the erlotinib ligand possesses the targeting activity towards tumor cells. Therefore, IC_(50) values of 1-NPs for A549 and MRC-5 cells were respectively 0.97 and 7.28 μM, which were lower than IC_(50) value of erlotinib. It should be noted that the 7.5-fold higher inhibition effect on A549 cells allows 1-NPs to be a potential targeting anticancer drug for curing lung cancer. The study opens a new avenue to design anticancer drugs based on organosilver(I)MOF derivatives that can realize the value-added reactivity by combining clinical drugs with ROS-inductive silver(Ⅰ) ion.

Centrifuge modeling of unreinforced and multi-row stabilizing piles reinforced landslides subjected to reservoir water level fluctuation

With the construction of the Three Gorges Reservoir dam,frequent reservoir landslide events have been *** recent years,multi-row stabilizing piles(MRSPs)have been used to stabilize massive reservoir landslides in *** this study,two centrifuge model tests were carried out to study the unreinforced and MRSP-reinforced slopes subjected to reservoir water level(RWL)operation,using the Taping landslide as a *** results indicate that the RWL rising can provide lateral support within the submerged zone and then produce the inward seepage force,eventually strengthening the slope ***,a rapid RWL drawdown may induce outward seepage forces and a sudden debuttressing effect,consequently reducing the effective soil normal stress and triggering partial pre-failure within the RWL fluctuation ***,partial deformation and subsequent soil structure damage generate excess pore water pressures,ultimately leading to the overall failure of the reservoir *** study also reveals that a rapid increase in the downslope driving force due to RWL drawdown significantly intensifies the lateral earth pressures exerted on the ***,the MRSPs possess a considerable reinforcement effect on the reservoir landslide,transforming the overall failure into a partial deformation and failure situated above and in front of the *** mechanical transfer behavior observed in the MRSPs demonstrates a progressive alteration in relation to RWL *** the RWL rises,the mechanical states among MRSPs exhibit a growing *** shear force transfer factor(*** ratio of shear forces on pile of the n th row to that of the first row)increases significantly with the RWL *** indicates that the mechanical states among MRSPs tend toward an enhanced *** insights gained from this study contribute to a more comprehensive understanding of the failure mechanisms of reservoir landslides and the mechanical behavior of M

Preheating-assisted solid-state friction stir repair of Al-Mg-Si alloy plate at different rotational speeds

Additive friction stir deposition(AFSD)is a novel structural repair and manufacturing technology has become a research hotspot at home and abroad in the past five *** this work,the microstructural evolution and mechanical performance of the Al-Mg-Si alloy plate repaired by the preheating-assisted AFSD process were *** evaluate the tool rotation speed and substrate preheating for repair quality,the AFSD technique was used to additively repair 5 mm depth blind holes on 6061 aluminum alloy *** results showed that preheat-assisted AFSD repair significantly improved joint bonding and joint strength compared to the control non-preheat substrate ***,increasing rotation speed was also beneficial to improve the metallurgical bonding of the interface and avoid volume *** preheating conditions,the UTS and elongation were positively correlated with rotation *** the process parameters of preheated substrate and tool rotation speed of 1000 r/min,defect-free specimens could be obtained accompanied by tensile fracture occurring in the substrate rather than the repaired *** UTS and elongation reached the maximum values of 164.2MPa and 13.4%,which are equivalent to 99.4%and 140%of the heated substrate,respectively.

Buckling Properties of Water-Drop-Shaped Pressure Hulls with Various Shape Indices Under Hydrostatic External Pressure

The water-drop-shaped pressure hull has a good streamline,which has good application prospect in the underwater ***,this study conducted analytical,experimental and numerical investigation of the buckling properties of water-drop-shaped pressure hulls under hydrostatic pressure.A water-drop experiment was conducted to design water-drop-shaped pressure hulls with various shape *** critical loads for the water-drop-shaped pressure hulls were resolved by using Mushtari’s *** numerical simulations including linear buckling analysis and nonlinear buckling analysis including eigenmode imperfections were *** results indicated that the critical loads resolved by Mushtari's formula were in good agreement with the linear buckling loads from the numerical *** formula can be extended to estimate the buckling capacity of water-drop-shaped pressure *** addition,three groups of pressure hulls were fabricated by using stereolithography,a rapid prototyping ***,three groups of the pressure hulls were subjected to ultrasonic measurements,optical scanning,hydrostatic testing and numerical *** experimental results were consistent with the numerical *** results indicate that the sharp end of the water-drop-shaped pressure hulls exhibited instability compared with the blunt *** paper provides a new solution to the limitations of experimental studies on the water-drop-shaped pressure hulls as well as a new configuration and evaluation method for underwater observatories.

Expression and Purification of Goose HSP70 and Compound Formation with Virus Polypeptide

The experiment was conducted to study the specific expression of HSP70 caused by heat shock, HSP70 purification and the characteristics of coalescence with antigenic peptide in the formation of the complex. Sixty healthy 6-week-old male Wulong geese were selected and randomly divided into three groups. The control group was slaughtered without heat treatment. Treatment group 1 was shocked with an acute heat treatment at （42 ± 1）℃ for 5 h before they were immediately slaughtered. Treatment group 2 was kept for 12 h after the heat treatment under normal conditions in order to recover and was then slaughtered. Cardiac tissue was taken in order to make paraffin sections for the immunohistochemistry experiment and the liver tissue was used to purify HSP70. The geese heart HSP70 expression differences in the three groups were determined and at the same time the experiments of HSP70 purification and appraisal in the liver tissue were carried on. HSP70 purification and synthesis of HBV PreS1 multi-peptides unified the complex, which was determined by bi-specific antibody enzyme-linked immune sandwich assay. The results indicated that widespread HSP70 positive pellets in the cardiac muscle were found under hot shock conditions. HSP70 expression in the treatment group 1 was centered in the karyotheca and its periphery, but in treatment group 2, it was centered in the surrounding cell membrane. The HSP70 purification could be obtained through two sets of purification plans; both the synthesis peptide and the HSP70 purification form the complex under certain conditions. The double antibody sandwich ELISA technique was applied to detect if the complex had been formed. Positive results showed that the complex was formed. The specific expression of HSP70 under heat shock shifted with time, suggesting that HSP70 possibly had some function in cell protection. A survey on model-based reinforcement learning

Reinforcement learning(RL) interacts with the environment to solve sequential decision-making problems via a trial-and-error approach. Errors are always undesirable in real-world applications, even though RL excels at playing complex video games that permit several trial-and-error attempts. To improve sample efficiency and thus reduce errors, model-based reinforcement learning(MBRL) is believed to be a promising direction, as it constructs environment models in which trial-and-errors can occur without incurring actual costs. In this survey, we investigate MBRL with a particular focus on the recent advancements in deep RL. There is a generalization error between the learned model of a non-tabular environment and the actual environment. Consequently, it is crucial to analyze the disparity between policy training in the environment model and that in the actual environment, guiding algorithm design for improved model learning, model utilization, and policy training. In addition, we discuss the recent developments of model-based techniques in other forms of RL, such as offline RL, goal-conditioned RL, multi-agent RL, and meta-RL. Furthermore,we discuss the applicability and benefits of MBRL for real-world tasks. Finally, this survey concludes with a discussion of the promising future development prospects for MBRL. We believe that MBRL has great unrealized potential and benefits in real-world applications, and we hope this survey will encourage additional research on MBRL.
