The global spin alignment of vector mesons has been observed by the STAR collaboration at the Relativistic Heavy Ion Collider(RHIC)at Brookhaven National Laboratory(BNL).It provides a unique opportunity to probe the correlation between the po-larized quark and antiquark in the strongly coupled quark-gluon plasma(sQGP)produced in relativistic heavy ion collisions,opening a new window to explore the properties of *** addition,spin alignments of vector mesons have also been observed in other high-energy particle collisions such as e^(+)e^(−)annihilations at high energies where hadron production is dominated by quark fragmentation *** results obtained are quite different from those obtained in heavy ion collisions where quark coalescence/combination mechanism dominates suggesting strong dependence on hadronization *** comprehensive studies in different hadronization processes are *** this article,we present a brief review of theoretical and experimen-tal advances in the study of vector meson’s spin alignments in a variety of high-energy particle collisions,with emphasis on hadronization mechanisms.

Huanglian-Renshen-Decoction Maintains Isletβ-Cell Identity in T2DM Mice through Regulating GLP-1 and GLP-1R in Both Islet and Intestine

Objective: To elucidate the effect of Huanglian-Renshen-Decoction(HRD) on ameliorating type 2 diabetes mellitus by maintaining islet β-cell identity through regulating paracrine and endocrine glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1)/GLP-1 receptor(GLP-1R) in both islet and intestine. Methods: The db/db mice were divided into the model(distilled water), low-dose HRD(LHRD, 3 g/kg), high-dose HRD(HHRD, 6 g/kg), and liraglutide(400 μg/kg) groups using a random number table, 8 mice in each group. The db/m mice were used as the control group(n=8, distilled water). The entire treatment of mice lasted for 6 weeks. Blood insulin, glucose, and GLP-1levels were quantified using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay kits. The proliferation and apoptosis factors of islet cells were determined by immunohistochemistry(IHC) and immunofluorescence(IF) staining. Then,GLP-1, GLP-1R, prohormone convertase 1/3(PC1/3), PC2, v-maf musculoaponeurotic fibrosarcoma oncogene homologue A(MafA), and pancreatic and duodenal homeobox 1(PDX1) were detected by Western blot, IHC,IF, and real-time quantitative polymerase chain reaction, respectively. Results: HRD reduced the weight and blood glucose of the db/db mice, and improved insulin sensitivity at the same time(P<0.05 or P<0.01). HRD also promoted mice to secrete more insulin and less glucagon(P<0.05 or P<0.01). Moreover, it also increased the number of islet β cell and decreased islet α cell mass(P<0.01). After HRD treatment, the levels of GLP-1,GLP-1R, PC1/3, PC2, MafA, and PDX1 in the pancreas and intestine significantly increased(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion: HRD can maintain the normal function and identity of islet β cell, and the underlying mechanism is related to promoting the paracrine and endocrine activation of GLP-1 in pancreas and intestine.

In this study,a comprehensive analysis of microstructural features,morphology,crystal structures,and interface structures of long-period stacking ordered(LPSO)structures in a non-equilibrium Mg_(97)Zn_(1)Y_(16)Ca_(0.4)alloy cast in a steel mold was carried *** addition of Ca element plays an important role in the refinement of LPSO *** result reveals new poly-types including 20H F2F2F4,60R(F2F3F3)_(3),and 66H F2F3F3F2(F6)_(4)featuring a 6-Mg structure,alongside the prevalent 18R and 14H LPSO *** incoherent interface between 20H and the Mg matrix is split into two dislocation arrays,leading to the formation of a segment of 60R_(1).Moreover,the superstructure 116L,designated as(F2)_(18)F4,is formed through the ordered distribution of F4 stacking faults in 18R.

利用八异丁基二硅烷醇与二丁基二氯化锡封端反应合成了有机锡倍半硅氧烷(DOSn-Bu),采用傅里叶红外光谱(FTIR)、核磁共振氢谱(1H-NMR)、X-射线单晶衍射等方法证实了化合物的分子结构.随后利用溶液共混法制备了系列双酚A-苯胺型苯并噁嗪(BA-a-Bz)/DOSn-Bu杂化树脂.从杂化树脂分段固化的FTIR图中可看出,噁嗪环在160～180°C发生开环. DSC结果表明:DOSn-Bu的催化作用使BA-a-Bz的起始固化温度下降了约50°C、峰值固化温度下降了约30°C,动态力学热分析(DMTA)、热失重(TGA)测试结果也表明杂化材料的储能模量和残炭率有所提高.从扫描电镜元素分布图(SEM mapping)看出,催化剂在体系中分散均一,与树脂基体相容性良好且断面SEM图像显示杂化后材料的粗糙度比纯噁嗪树脂的增加.

Morphological alterations in dendritic spines have been linked to changes in functional communication between neurons that affect learning and ***-4 KIF21A helps organize the microtubule-actin network at the cell cortex by interacting with KANK1;however,whether KIF21A modulates dendritic structure and function in neurons remains *** this study,we found that KIF21A was distributed in a subset of dendritic spines,and that these KIF21A-positive spines were larger and more structurally plastic than KIF21A-negative ***,the interaction between KIF21A and KANK1 was found to be critical for dendritic spine morphogenesis and synaptic *** of either KIF21A or KANK1 inhibited dendritic spine morphogenesis and dendritic branching,and these deficits were fully rescued by coexpressing full-length KIF21A or KANK1,but not by proteins with mutations disrupting direct binding between KIF21A and KANK1 or binding between KANK1 and *** down KIF21A in the hippocampus of rats inhibited the amplitudes of long-term potentiation induced by high-frequency stimulation and negatively impacted the animals’cognitive *** together,our findings demonstrate the function of KIF21A in modulating spine morphology and provide insight into its role in synaptic function.

It is still a challenge to develop hierarchically nanostructured catalysts with simple approaches to enhance the low-temperature catalytic ***,a set of mesoporous Co-Cu binary metal oxides with different morphologies were successfully prepared via a facile ammonium bicarbonate precipitation method without any templates or surfactants,which were further applied for catalytic removal of carcinogenic *** the catalysts with different ratios,the CoCu_(0.2)composite oxide presented the best performance,where the temperature required for 90%conversion of toluene was only 237°C at the high weight hour space velocity(WHSV)of 240,000 mL/(gcat·hr).Meanwhile,compared to the related Co-Cu composite oxides prepared by using different precipitants(NaOH and H_(2)C_(2)O_(4)),the NH_(4)HCO_(3)-derived CoCu_(0.2)sample exhibited better catalytic efficiency in toluene oxidation,while the T90 were 22 and 28°C lower than those samples prepared by NaOH andH_(2)C_(2)O_(4)routes,*** on various characterizations,it could be deduced that the excellent performance was related to the small crystal size(6.7 nm),large specific surface area(77.0 m2/g),hollow hierarchical nanostructure with abundant high valence Co ions and adsorbed oxygen *** situ DRIFTS further revealed that the possible reaction pathway for the toluene oxidation over CoCu_(0.2)catalyst followed the route of absorbed toluene→benzyl alcohol→benzaldehyde→benzoic acid→carbonate→CO_(2)and H_(2)*** addition,CoCu_(0.2)sample could keep stable with long-time operation and occur little inactivation under humid condition(5 vol.%water),which revealed that the NH_(4)HCO_(3)-derived CoCu_(0.2)nanocatalyst possessed great potential in industrial applications for VOCs abatement.

BACKGROUND Gallbladder neuroendocrine carcinoma(NEC)represents a subtype of gallbladder malignancies characterized by a low incidence,aggressive nature,and poor *** its clinical severity,the genetic alterations,mechanisms,and signaling pathways underlying gallbladder NEC remain *** SUMMARY This case study presents a rare instance of primary gallbladder NEC in a 73-year-old female patient,who underwent a radical cholecystectomy with hepatic hilar lymphadenectomy and resection of liver segments IV-B and *** gene sequencing and bioinformatics analysis tools,including STRING,GeneMANIA,Metascape,TRRUST,Sangerbox,cBioPortal and GSCA,were used to analyze the biological functions and features of mutated genes in gallbladder *** mutations(APC,ARID2,IFNA6,KEAP1,RB1,SMAD4,TP53,BTK,GATA1,GNAS,and PRDM3)were identified,and the tumor mutation burden was determined to be 9.52 muts/Mb via targeted gene sequencing.A protein-protein interaction network showed significant interactions among the twelve mutated *** Ontology and Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes analyses were used to assess mutation functions and *** results revealed 40 tumor-related pathways.A key regulatory factor for gallbladder NEC-related genes was identified,and its biological functions and features were compared with those of gallbladder *** Gallbladder NEC requires standardized *** with other gallbladder carcinomas revealed clinical phenotypes,molecular alterations,functional characteristics,and enriched pathways.
