A squaraine based fluorescent probe for mercury ion via coordination induced deaggregation signaling

Due to the high affinity between dithiocarbamate （DTC） and Hg2＋, a fluorescent probe based on squaraine chromophore with DTC side arm for Hg2＋ via coordination induced deaggregation signaling has been designed and synthesized. Squaraine has a high tendency to aggregate in aqueous solution, and such self-aggregation usually results in a dramatic absorption spectral broadening with fluorescence emission quenching. The combination of the DTC side arm of the probe with Hg2＋ induces steric hindrance, leading to the deaggregation of the dye complex, companying with a fluorescence emission restoration. In EtOH-H2O （20：80, v/v） solution, this ＂turn on＂ fluorescent probe has high selectivity and sensitivity toward Hg2＋ over other metal ions, and the limit of detection for Hg2＋ was estimated as 2.19 × 10^-8 mol/L by 3σ/k.

Sustained wear damages on the sliding surfaces of alloys are generally the culprit responsible for the failure of various mechanical *** by high-entropy effects,here we deliberately deploy nanohierarchical architecture with composition undulation in a Ni50(AlNbTiV)_(50) complex concentrated alloy,which yields ultralow wear rate within the order of 10^(−7) to 10^(−6) mm^(3)/Nm between room temperature and 800℃.Such remarkable wear resistance heretofore represents one of the highest wear resistance reported for the bulk alloys or composites,and originates from the multi-type adaptive friction interface protection governed by intrinsically nano-coupled grains and *** cooperative heterostructure releases gradient frictional stress in stages upon wear at room temperature through the coexistence of multiple deformation pathways while activating a dense nanocrystalline glaze layer upon wear at 800℃ to minimize adhesive and oxidative *** work uncovers a practical avenue for tailoring wear properties with multicomponent heterostructures over a wide temperature range.

Kinetic processes of a-naphthaleneacetic acid (NAA) photolysis were studied under different conditions. The results showed that the ultraviolet light was more effective than fluorescent light in promoting degradation, and the degradation of NAA under ultraviolet light followed the first order kinetics with the photolysis rate constant of 1.15 x 10-2 min-1 and half-life time (t1/2) of 60 min. Further, it was proved that the photolysis rate was higher in the presence of oxygen, titanium dioxide (TiO2), and low pH (acidic solution). At last, two photolysis intermediates were identified by GC-MS and possible photolysis pathways were proposed.

This paper considers the random coefficient autoregressive model with time-functional variance noises,hereafter the RCA-TFV *** first establish the consistency and asymptotic normality of the conditional least squares estimator for the constant *** semiparametric least squares estimator for the variance of the random coefficient and the nonparametric estimator for the variance function are constructed,and their asymptotic results are reported.A simulation study is presented along with an analysis of real data to assess the performance of our method in finite samples.

AIM: To investigate whether puerarin can augment endothelial progenitor cells (EPCs) numbers, promote EPC proliferative, migratory, adhesive, and in vitro vasculogenesis capacity. METHODS: EPCs were characterized as adherent cells by double staining of DiLDL-uptake and lectin binding under a laser scanning confocal microscope. Expression of KDR, VEGFR-2, and AC 133 was detected by flow cytometry. EPCs proliferation, migration and in vitro vasculogenesis were determined with MTT assay, modified Boyden chamber assay, and in vitro vasculogenesis kit, respectively. EPCs adhesive assay was performed by replating those on fibronectin-coated dishes, then adherent cells were counted. RESULTS: Incubation of isolated human MNCs with puerarin 0.1-3 mmol/L increased the number of EPCs, EPC proliferative, migratory, adhesive, and in vitro vasculogenesis capacity in a concentration and time-dependent manner, which reached maximum at 3 mmol/L, 24 h (approximately 1-fold increase, P<0.01). The classification of π-/σ-aromaticity depends on the electrons with the dominating ***,π-andσ-aromaticity are used to describe the unsaturated and saturated systems,***,it is rarely reported that π-aromaticity is dominated in a saturated *** we demonstrate that π-aromaticity could be dominating in several fully saturated four-membered rings(4MRs),supported by various aromaticity indices including ΔBL,NICS,EDDB,MCI,and Ad *** origin of suchπ-aromaticity in saturated rings could be attributed to an introduction of two additional electrons into the π-type LUMO of the parent neutral *** findings represent a novel approach to achieve π-aromaticity into a fully saturated system which has traditionally been dominated by σ-aromaticity.
