The corrosion behavior and mechanism of 3Ni weathering.steel in a simulated oceanic atmospheric environment are investig.ted in order to comprehend the impacts of La,as determined throug. electrochemical analysis and rust layer *** results of this study demonstrate that the addition of La enhances the corrosion resistance of 3Ni weathering.steel in the marine atmospheric environment,thereby reducing.the corrosion rate and improving.the protection of the rust *** influence of La on corrosion resistance can be attributed to two primary ***,La functions as a g.ain refiner,minimizing.the potential difference of the micro-reg.ons on the substrate surface,thereby sig.ificantly reducing.the corrosion of bare steel in the marine ***,La inhibits the process of Fe_(3)O_(4) oxidation back toγ-FeOOH during.corrosion at the local site,thus decreasing.the formation ofγ-FeOOH and enhancing.the charg. transfer *** research work may serve as a reference for expanding.the application of rare earth elements in the field of weathering.steel.

Comisión Nacional de Energ.a Atómica(CNEA) has the responsibility for restoring.uranium mining.facilities once the operations have finished. CNEA, within its Environmental Prog.am and in compliance with its leg.l responsibilities, decides to implement a restoration proj.ct for all sites related to the mining.and processing.of uranium ores. The Malarg.e Site is located within the Province of Mendoza in the city of Malarg.e. It is the first site to successfully complete its remediation. The activities consist of relocation of tailing. to an eng.neering.repository. The tailing. manag.ment(encapsulation) and rehabilitation of the area was finished in j.ne 2017. The remediation alternative for the ore tailing. was selected after conducting.comparative studies and submitted the proj.ct to the society for consideration. The obj.ctive of the encapsulation of the mineral tails is to isolate them from the environment, also proceeding.with the decontamination and rehabilitation of the area(landscaping.post-closure monitoring.and 20 years monitoring.period). Encapsulation consisted of the construction of a containment cell for the mine tailing., to isolate them and prevent pollutants from entering.the environment throug. the transfer routes. To clean the impacted areas, the soil was removed, it was incorporated into the encapsulation, and the filling.was carried out with natural soils from the *** prevents radon transfer to the environment, as 222Ra is an alpha emitter with a half-life of four days, which produces its own radioactive prog.ny. Radon prog.ny are solids, and when a 222Ra nucleus emits an alpha particle into the air, the resulting.218Po nucleus, momentarily electrically charg.d, adheres to any dust particle. Remediation prevents the discharg. into the air containing.radon and also containing.dust particles charg.d with intensely radioactive radon prog.ny. This study focuses on the use of heavy fuel oil in construction material in Burkina Faso. Its mixture with silty or clayey soil is used as a coating.to reinforce the walls of raw earth constructions which are very sensitive to water. The interest of this study is to determine erodibility, water content, while hig.lig.ting.the influence of the porosity accessible by water on thermal diffusion in construction material containing.heavy fuel oil. The heavy fuel oil was mixed with a silty-clayey soil, in different proportions, and water to make bricks samples on which tests were carried out. At the end of the experimental tests, it appears that the water content increases g.adually, but not sig.ificantly with the addition of heavy fuel oil, which causes a slig.t increase in the speed of heat propag.tion throug. the material with reduced porosity, particularly those containing.hig.er quantities of heavy fuel oil. Conversely, we note a g.od performance of heavy fuel oil in terms of water resistance properties such as porosity accessible by water and erodibility. This allows us to conclude that the mixture of heavy fuel oil and silty-clayey soil used as a coating.material could g.eatly reduce water infiltration into the walls of housing.constructions with raw earthen materials.

Effective calcium (Ca) manag.ment is crucial for optimizing.oil palm cultivation and enhancing.crop yield. This study aimed to g.in insig.ts into the dynamics of Ca concentration, accumulation, exportation, immobilization, and recycling.in various oil palm org.ns relative to plant ag.. The experiment was conducted at the Ag.opalma enterprise site in the northeastern reg.on of Pará State, Brazil, evaluating.seven plant ag. treatments: 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, and 8 years old. Employing.a completely randomized desig. with four replications. The results demonstrated an ag.-related increase in Ca concentration in petioles, rachis, arrows, male inflorescences, peduncles, and fruits. Furthermore, Ca accumulation exhibited an upward trend in all org.ns with prog.essing.plant ag.. Notably, the study revealed an enhanced Ca use efficiency across all plant org.ns in correlation with the ag. of oil palm cultivation. These finding. underscore the dynamic nutritional demands of oil palm, influencing.Ca immobilization, cycling. and export throug.out its developmental stag.s. © 2024 the Oil Crop Research Institute, Chinese Academy of Ag.iculture Sciences

Obj.ctive To explore the rapid antidepressant potential and the underlying.mechanism of Chaihu Shug.n San(CSS)in female *** Liquid chromatog.aphy mass spectrometry(LC-MS)/MS was used to determine the content of main components in CSS to determine its *** C57BL/6j.mice were randomly divided into 4 g.oups,including.control(saline),vehicle(saline),CSS(4 g.kg.and ketamine(30 mg.kg.*** were subj.cted to irreg.lar stress stimulation for 4 weeks to establish the chronic mild stress(CMS)model,then received a sing.e administration of *** hours later,the behavioral tests were performed,including.open field test,tail suspension test(TST),forced swimming.test(FST),novelty suppression feeding.test(NSF),and sucrose preference test(SPT).Western blot analysis was used to detect the expression levels of N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor(NMdA)subtypes[N-methyl-d-aspartate receptor 1(NR1),NR2A,NR2B],synaptic proteins[synapsin1 and post synaptic density protein 95(PSd95)],and brain-derived neurotrophic factor(BdNF).Moreover,the rapid antidepressant effect of CSS was tested by pharmacolog.cal technolog.es and optog.netic interventions that activated g.utamate receptors,*** Compared with the vehicle g.oup,a sing.e administration of CSS(4 g.kg.reversed all behavioral defects in TST,FST,SPT and NSF caused by CMS(Pg.ificantly decreased the expressions of NMdA subtypes(NR1,NR2A,NR2B)at 2 h in hippocampus of mice(all Pddition,similar to ketamine,CSS increased levels of synaptic proteins and BdNF(Pd antidepressant effects of CSS were blocked by transient activation of NMdA receptors in the hippocampus(all Pd antidepressant effects of CSS by improving.behavioral deficits in female CMS mice depended on rapid suppression of NMdA receptors and activation of synaptic proteins.

The motivation in public-private partnerships （PPPs） is to harness the streng.hs of public and private partners to deliver essential public services. The ability to transfer risk to the private sector in PPP has been one of the reasons why the public sector relies on the private sector to participate in the development of infrastructure proj.cts. In most instances, the public sector also believes that the private sector can fund the proj.ct at a lower cost. The private sector on the other hand, believes that they could achieve a strong.financial return based on the concessions that the public sector will provide. If the sectors feel altruistic empathy to each other, they will realize that their orig.nal g.als are not achievable. However, having.understood the other sector＇s needs and constraints, collaborative neg.tiation will yield a set of common g.als. There are no commonly ag.eed frameworks on collaborative neg.tiation before PPP is formally established. The obj.ctive of this paper is to use deductive analysis to develop a conceptual framework for inquiring.into the motivations of the public and private sectors during.neg.tiation. This framework will provide insig.ts on the extent of altruistic empathy of both sectors at the onset and how this altruistic empathy frames collaborative neg.tiation. This paper shows that collaborative neg.tiation will influence the success of partnerships and altruistic empathy is an important preamble to collaborative neg.tiation. This paper provides a frame of reference for future study using.other research methods for further validation.

The j.int European Space Ag.ncy and Chinese Academy of Sciences Solar wind Mag.etosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(SMILE)mission will explore g.obal dynamics of the mag.etosphere under varying.solar wind and interplanetary mag.etic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere *** these larg.-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional g.ound-based and space-based instruments will enable a much g.eater scientific impact beyond the orig.nal g.als of the SMILE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for SMILE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for SMILE can offer.A dedicated g.oup of international scientists representing.many different experiment types and g.og.aphical locations,the g.ound-based and Additional Science Working.g.oup,is facilitating.these *** include constructing.an online SMILE data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing.strateg.es and spacecraft *** anticipate g.owing.interest and community eng.g.ment with the SMILE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insig.ts from the solar-terrestrial community.
