Bromate(BrO_3) is a disinfec.ion by-product in drinking water, and its removal is very difficult especially at low levels.60 co gamma rays were used to remove BrO_3in aqueous solution in this study. The effects of absorbed doses, BrO_3initial concentration, gas saturation, p H value and coexisting anions(cl, NO 3, SO2 4and HcO 3=cO_3^(2 -))on BrO_3reduc.ion were evaluated. After 4.0-k Gy irradiation of air-equilibrated solution of 30.7 lg/L BrO_3, the residual BrO_3was 8.3 lg/L, which is below the maximum contaminant level of drinking water. The BrO_3reduc.ion rate increased with the dose, in the order of N2[ air [ O_2[ N_2O atmosphere under similar conditions. The results also show that high p H favored the BrO_3removal. According to the experimental results, it can be concluded that the efficiency of decomposing BrO_3by reac.ive species followed the order of e aq[ H [ HO_2 [ O_2. coexisting cl, HcO 3=cO_3^(2 -)and SO2 4ions have little effect on BrO_3removal, whereas NO_3can inhibit its removal as a result of competition with BrO_3for e aq.

This work provides a comprehensive review of the development and applications of bridge rotation construc.ion methods(BRMs) and related c.itical construc.ion technologies in c.ina. A brief history of BRMs and an outline of their categories,including the rotating structural system, are given first. Subsequently, a discussion on the recent prac.ice of BRMs in c.ina is carried out from three types of bridges:(1) continuous beam and rigid frame bridges;(2) arch bridges;(3) cable-stayed *** each group, a survey of the vital bridge cases that have adopted BRMs in c.ina in the past two decades is provided. Key parameters, including the structure weight of rotation, maximum cantilever span, and rotation duration, are also compared and discussed. Afterward, the principles and applications of the weighing test and the spherical hinge stability, which are both related to the safety of the horizontal rotation construc.ion process, are analyzed in the paper. Additionally, the limitations of BRMs are presented and discussed, and the article concludes with a summary of the current use and future trend of BRMs. The information and experience of BRMs provided in this work can be referenced by engineers and researchers who are devoted to the construc.ion of bridges.

c-c bond ac.ivation has emerged as a powerful tool for the construc.ion of complex ***,we report a dual ligands relay-promoted transformation of unstrained aryl,alkenyl and alkynyl ketones to the corresponding polyfluoroarenes and nitriles via c-c(=O)bond cleavage and subsequent decarboxylative arylation *** polyfluoroarene and nitrile products are obtained in one pot under cyanide-free *** protocol features high atom economy,broad func.ional group tolerance and excellent heterocyc.ic *** late-stage func.ionalization of the drug and natural product demonstrated the synthetic utility of our ***,the decisive role of the dual ligands was clarified and the mechanistic rationale including theβ-c elimination as the rate-limiting step was supported by detailed density func.ional theory(DFT)studies.

We investigate the response to the ac current for a superconduc.ing quantum interference device （SQUiD） with a dichotomous resistance. it is shown that, for some suitably selected parameters＇ values, stochastic resonance appears for the amplitude of the stationary average voltage of the SQUiD versus the correlation time of the dichotomous noise. Our result can provide some useful insights for the investigation of the response of the SQUiD （especially for the ones with the nano junc.ions） to the temporal-periodic signal （including the input ac current, the irradiation microwave, the detected temporal-periodic signal, and the added ac voltage）.
