Using the configuration-integration methods （CI） [Phys. Rev. B 45 （1992） 19], we report the results of the Hydrogenie-impurity ground state in a GaAs/AIAs spherical quantum dot under an electric field. We discuss the variations of the binding energies of the Hydrogenic-impurity ground state as a function of the position of impurity D, the radius R of the quantum dot, and also as a function of electric field F. We find that the ground energy and binding energy of impurity placed anywhere depend strongly on the position of impurity. Also, electric field can largely change the Hydrogenic-impurity ground state only limiting to the big radius of quantum dot. And the differences in energy level and binding energy are observed from the center donor and off-center donor.

Worldwide stroke is increasing in parallel with modernization,changes in lifestyle,and the growing elderly *** review is focused on the link between diet,as part of‘modern lifestyle’,and health in the context of genetic predisposition of individuals to‘unhealthy’metabolic pathway *** is concluded that lifestyle including high sugar diets,alcohol and tobacco addiction or high fat diets as well as ageing,brain injury,oxidative stress and neuroinflammation,negatively influence the onset,severity and duration of neurodegenerative ***,there are several healthy dietary components such as polyunsaturated fatty acids and the anti-oxidants curcumin,resveratrol,blueberry polyphenols,sulphoraphane,salvionic acid as well as caloric restriction and physical activity,which may counteract ageing and associated neurodegenerative diseases via increased autophagy or increased neurogenesis in the adult brain.

Stem cell therapy is a promising treatment for neurogenerative disease as well as inflammatory and immune mediated diseases. Decades of preclinical research has demonstrated stem cell ability to differentiate into multiple cell lineages and be utilised in regeneration and repair with their immunomodulatory and immunosuppressive properties. This work has provided the fundamental scientific knowledge needed to launch various clinical trials studying stem cell therapy in autoimmune disorders,stroke, and other tissue injury. Despite the early success many of these promising therapies are yet to breakthrough into clinical use. In this review, we highlight the recent developments in the use of stem cells as therapeutic agents for neurological conditions as well as their failures and how the clinical translation can be improved.

Adhesion property of AlCrNbSiTi high-entropy alloy coating on zirconium:experimental and theoretical studies

Experimental scratch tests and first-principles calculations were used to investigate the adhesion property of AlCrNbSiTi high-entropy alloy(HEA)coatings on zirconium *** HEA and Cr coatings were deposited on Zr alloy substrates using multi-arc ion plating technology,and scratch tests were subsequently conducted to estimate the adhesion property of the *** results indicated that Cr coatings had better adhesion strength than HEA coatings,and the HEA coatings showed *** special quasi-random structure approach was used to build HEA models,and Cr/Zr and HEA/Zr interface models were employed to investigate the cohesion between the coatings and Zr substrate using first-principles *** calculated interface energies showed that the cohesion between the Cr coating and the Zr substrate was stronger than that of the HEA coating with *** contrary to Al or Si in the HEA coating,Cr,Nb,and Ti atoms binded strongly with Zr *** on the calculated elastic constants,it was found that low Cr and high Al content decreased the mechanical performances of HEA ***,this study demonstrated the utilization of a combined approach involving first-principles calculations and experimental studies for future HEA coating development.

A rotating stopper-rod technique was proposed to suppress the formation of free-surface vortex in the *** large eddy simulation model coupled with volume of fluid model was developed to study the steel–slag–gas three-phase flow *** critical slag entrapment height of the free-surface vortex and mass of residual steel were predicted at different rotating speeds(30,60,90 and 120 r/min)of the rotating *** numerical model was verified by water model *** results showed that by rotating the stopper-rod in the opposite direction of the vortex above the submerged entry nozzle,the formation of vortex can be effectively disturbed and the critical height of the free-surface vortex can be *** for the 2nd strand,when the rotating speeds are 30,60,90 and 120 r/min,the critical height of the free-surface vortex above the 2nd strand is 7.3,4.7,6.3 and 7.4 cm,respectively.A reasonable rotating speed should be 60 r/min,which can reduce about 2 tons of residual *** rotating speeds just can reduce about 1.6 tons of residual steel.

With the advancement of social process,the resource problem is becoming more prominent,biomass materials come into being,and it is becoming more and more important to explore and prepare efficient and multifunctional biomass materials to alleviate the problems of energy storage and water *** this paper,nitrogen-doped hierarchical porous carbon materials(NRRC)were produced by one-step carbonization of withered rose as raw material and melamine as nitrogen source with KOH-activated *** resulting nitrogen-doped porous carbon material had the most abundant pores and the best microspherical graded pore structure,with a specific surface area of up to 1393 m2·g^(-1),a pore volume of 0.68 cm3·g^(-1),and a nitrogen-doped content of 5.52%.Electrochemical tests showed that the maximum specific capacitance of NRRC in the three-electrode system was 346.4 F·g^(-1)(0.5 A·g^(-1)),which was combined with favorable capacitance retention performance and cycling *** NRRC//NRRC symmetric supercapacitors were further assembled,and the maximum energy density of a single device was 23.88 Wh·kg^(-1),which still maintains excellent capacitance retention and cyclic charging/discharging *** example,the capacitance retention rate was always close to 96.27%with almost negligible capacitance loss after 10000 consecutive charge/discharge cycles(current density:10 A·g^(-1)).Regardless of the three-electrode or two-electrode system,the super capacitive performance of NRRC porous carbon materials was comparable to the electrochemical performance of many reported biomass porous carbon materials,which showed better energy storage advantages and practical application *** addition,NRRC porous carbon materials had excellent water purification *** dye adsorption test confirmed that NRRC had a high adsorption capacity(491.47 mg·g^(-1))for methylene *** undoubtedly also showed a potential and promising avenue for high value-added utilization

Phlorizin(PHL)is a natural compound with strong antioxidant properties mainly found in *** this paper,the interaction mechanism of PHL with pepsin and trypsin was comparatively evaluated by computer simulation,fluorescence spectra,circular dichroism(CD),and Fourier transform infrared(FT-IR)spectra at a molecular *** spectra showed that PHL quenches the pepsin/trypsin by static *** parameters indicated that PHL binds to pepsin mainly through hydrogen bonds and van der Waals forces,and that of trypsin was electrostatic *** ground state complexes PHL and protease have a moderate affinity of 105 L/mol PHL binds more strongly to trypsin than to *** and FT-IR spectra results showed that pepsin/trypsin decreased theβ-sheet content and slightly changed its secondary structure upon *** experimental results are mutually verified with the predicted computer-aid simulation *** PHL and trypsin binding,the antioxidant capacity of PHL was ***,the antioxidant capacity of PHL was decreased after binding to *** work elucidates the binding of PHL binding mechanisms to pepsin/trypsin and provides useful information for the digestion of PHL to improve the application of PHL in food processing.
