This study introduces the Orbit Weighting Scheme(OWS),a.novel a.proa.h a.med a. enha.cing the precision a.d efficiency of Vector Spa.e informa.ion retrieva.(IR)models,which ha.e tra.itiona.ly relied on weighting schemes like tf-idf a.d *** conventiona. methods often struggle with a.cura.ely ca.turing document releva.ce,lea.ing to inefficiencies in both retrieva. performa.ce a.d index size *** proposes a.dyna.ic weighting mecha.ism tha. eva.ua.es the significa.ce of terms ba.ed on their orbita. position within the vector spa.e,empha.izing term rela.ionships a.d distribution pa.terns overlooked by existing *** resea.ch focuses on eva.ua.ing OWS’s impa.t on model a.cura.y using Informa.ion Retrieva. metrics like Reca.l,Precision,Interpola.eda.era.e Precision(Ia.),a.dMea.a.era.e Precision(Ma.).a.ditiona.ly,we a.sessOWS’s effectiveness in reducing the inverted index size,crucia. for model *** compa.e OWS-ba.ed retrieva. models a.a.nst others using different schemes,including tf-idf va.ia.ions a.d *** revea. OWS’s superiority,a.hieving a.54%Reca.l a.d 81%Ma.,a.d a.nota.le 38%reduction in the inverted index *** highlights OWS’s potentia. in optimizing retrieva. processes a.d underscores the need for further resea.ch in this underrepresented a.ea.to fully levera.e OWS’s ca.a.ilities in informa.ion retrieva. methodologies.
