Extracellular vesicles(EVs)are tiny biological nanovesicles ranging from approximately 30–1000 nm in diameter that are released into the extracellular matrix of most cell types and in *** classification of EVs includes exosomes,microvesicles,and apoptotic bodies,dependent on various factors such as size,markers,and biogenesis *** transition of EV relevance from that of being assumed as a trash bag to be a key player in critical physiological and pathological conditions has been revolutionary in many *** have been recently revealed to play a crucial role in stem cell biology and cancer progression via intercellular communication,contributing to organ development and the progression of *** review focuses on the significant research progress made so far in the role of the crosstalk between EVs and stem cells and their niche,and cellular communication among different germ layers in developmental *** addition,it discusses the role of EVs in cancer progression and their application as therapeutic agents or drug delivery *** such discoveries have been facilitated by tremendous technological advancements in EV-associated research,especially the microfluidics *** pros and cons in the context of characterization of EVs are also extensively discussed in this *** review also deliberates the role of EVs in normal cell processes and disease conditions,and their application as a diagnostic and therapeutic ***,we propose future perspectives for EV-related research in stem cell and cancer biology.

Cancer is a deadly disease that is globally and consistently one of the leading causes of mortality every *** the availability of chemotherapy,radiotherapy,immunotherapy,and surgery,a cure for cancer has not been ***,exosomes have gained significant attention due to the therapeutic potential of their various components including proteins,lipids,nucleic acids,miRNAs,and *** constitute a set of tiny extracellular vesicles with an approximate diameter of 30-100 *** are released from different cells and are present in biofluids including blood,cerebrospinal fluid(CSF),and *** perform crucial multifaceted functions in the malignant progression of cancer via autocrine,paracrine,and endocrine *** ability of exosomes to carry different cargoes including drug and molecular information to recipient cells make them a novel tool for cancer *** this review,we discuss the major components of exosomes and their role in cancer *** also review important literature about the potential role of exosomes as vaccines and delivery carriers in the context of cancer therapeutics.

Alzheimer’s disease(AD)is a neurodegenerative disorder characterized by the predominant impairment of neurons in the hippocampus and the formation of amyloid plaques,hyperphosphorylated tau protein,and neurofibrillary tangles in the *** overexpression of amyloid-βprecursor protein(APP)in an AD brain results in the binding of APP intracellular domain(AICD)to Fe65 protein via the C-terminal Fe65-PTB2 interaction,which then triggers the secretion of amyloid-βand the consequent pathogenesis of ***,targeting the interaction between APP and Fe65 can offer a promising therapeutic approach for ***,exosome,a type of extracellular vesicle with diameter around 30–200 nm,has gained much attention as a potential delivery tool for brain diseases,including AD,due to their ability to cross the blood–brain barrier,their efficient uptake by autologous cells,and their ability to be surface-modified with target-specific receptor ***,the engineering of hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes to overexpress Fe65,enabled the development of a novel exosome-based targeted drug delivery system,which carried Corynoxine-B(Cory-B,an autophagy inducer)to the APP overexpressed-neuron cells in the brain of AD *** Fe65-engineered HT22 hippocampus neuron cell-derived exosomes(Fe65-EXO)loaded with Cory-B(Fe65-EXO-Cory-B)hijacked the signaling and blocked the natural interaction between Fe65 and APP,enabling APP-targeted delivery of ***,Fe65-EXO-Cory-B induced autophagy in APP-expressing neuronal cells,leading to amelioration of the cognitive decline and pathogenesis in AD mice,demonstrating the potential of Fe65-EXO-Cory-B as an effective therapeutic intervention for AD.

An improved ion-exchange/diffusion method for ～(15)N isotope tracing analysis of nitrate in surface waters from watersheds

An improved method,suitable for collecting nitrate from surface waters in the watershed for 15 N isotope tracing analysis,was developed on the basis of the anion exchange coupled with diffusion through systematic simulation and comparison *** results showed that the nitrate could be separated and enriched from the waters efficiently by using the improved *** simple and practical in operation principle and procedures,cost-economic,and highly efficient in nitrate separation/enrichment,the method met the requirements of δ 15 N mass spectrum analysis and would lay a foundation for the application of 15 N isotope tracing approach to the research on non-point source pollution in watershed.

Decision tree support vector machine based on genetic algorithm for multi-class classification

To solve the multi-class fault diagnosis tasks, decision tree support vector machine （DTSVM）, which combines SVM and decision tree using the concept of dichotomy, is proposed. Since the classification performance of DTSVM highly depends on its structure, to cluster the multi-classes with maximum distance between the clustering centers of the two sub-classes, genetic algorithm is introduced into the formation of decision tree, so that the most separable classes would be separated at each node of decisions tree. Numerical simulations conducted on three datasets compared with ＂one-against-all＂ and ＂one-against-one＂ demonstrate the proposed method has better performance and higher generalization ability than the two conventional methods.

Hochschild Cohomology Rings of Temperley-Lieb Algebras

The authors first construct an explicit minimal projective bimodule resolution(P, δ) of the Temperley-Lieb algebra A, and then apply it to calculate the Hochschild cohomology groups and the cup product of the Hochschild cohomology ring of A based on a comultiplicative map Δ:P → PAP. As a consequence, the authors determine the multiplicative structure of Hochschild cohomology rings of both Temperley-Lieb algebras and representation-finite q-Schur algebras under the cup product by giving an explicit presentation by generators and relations.

背景:自组装短肽水凝胶具有良好的生物相容性、可控的物理化学性质和释放性能,在组织工程、药物输送和生物传感等领域具有广泛的应用潜力。目的:总结近年来自组装短肽水凝胶在肿瘤治疗中的研究进展。方法:以“自组装短肽,水凝胶,缓释载体,抗肿瘤,肿瘤治疗;Self-assembling peptide,hydrogel,sustained release,antitumor,tumor therapy”为检索词,检索中国知网、PubMed、Elsevier ScienceDirect数据库2000-2024年发表的相关文献,最终纳入81篇文献进行综述。结果与结论:自组装短肽水凝胶作为一种新型的生物活性材料,可以作为缓释药物载体负载多种抗肿瘤药物、免疫抑制剂等,靶向肿瘤部位、诱导肿瘤细胞死亡、降低药物使用剂量、提高肿瘤部位药物蓄积量,从而降低毒副作用和多药耐药性的产生概率。此外,具有天然活性的抗肿瘤水凝胶能够不依赖于药物直接杀伤肿瘤细胞,单独使用能够最大限度避免抗肿瘤药物的毒副作用。

Temporal pattern mining from user-generated content

Faster internet, IoT, and social media have reformed the conventional web into a collaborative web resulting in enormous user-generated content. Several studies are focused on such content;however, they mainly focus on textual data, thus undermining the importance of metadata. Considering this gap, we provide a temporal pattern mining framework to model and utilize user-generated content's metadata. First, we scrap 2.1 million tweets from Twitter between Nov-2020 to Sep-2021 about 100 hashtag keywords and present these tweets into 100 User-Tweet-Hashtag (UTH) dynamic graphs. Second, we extract and identify four time-series in three timespans (Day, Hour, and Minute) from UTH dynamic graphs. Lastly, we model these four time-series with three machine learning algorithms to mine temporal patterns with the accuracy of 95.89%, 93.17%, 90.97%, and 93.73%, respectively. We demonstrate that user-generated content's metadata contains valuable information, which helps to understand the users' collective behavior and can be beneficial for business and research. LiF and LiNO_(3) as synergistic additives for PEO-PVDF/LLZTO-based composite electrolyte towards high-voltage lithium batteries with dualinterfaces stability

Solid electrolytes with desirable properties such as high ionic conductivity,wide electrochemical stable window,and suitable mechanical strength,and stable electrode-electrolyte interfaces on both cathode and anode side are essential for high-voltage all-solid-state lithium batteries(ASSLBs)to achieve excellent cycle *** this work,a novel strategy of using LiF and LiNO_(3) as synergistic additives to boost the performance of PEO-PVDF/LLZTO-based composite solid electrolytes(CSEs)is developed,which also promotes the assembled high-voltage ASSLBs with dual-interfaces stability ***,LiF as an inactive additive can increase the electrochemical stability of the CSE under high cut-off voltage,and improve the high-voltage compatibility between cathode and CSE,thus leading to a stable cathode/CSE ***_(3) as an active additive can lead to an enhanced ionic conductivity of CSE due to the increased free-mobile Li+and ensure a stable CSE/Li interface by forming stable solid electrolyte interphase(SEI)on Li anode *** from the improved performance of CSE and stable dualinterfaces,the assembled NCM622/9[PEO_(15)-LiTFSI]-PVDF-15 LLZTO-2 LiF-3 LiNO_(3)/Li cell delivers a high rate capacity of 102.1 mAh g^(-1) at 1.0 C and a high capacity retention of 77.4%after 200 cycles at 0.5 C,which are much higher than those of the ASSLB assembled with additive-free CSE,with only 60.0 mAh g^(-1) and 52.0%,***,novel cycle test modes of resting for 5 h at different charge states after every 5 cycles are designed to investigate the high-voltage compatibility between cathode and CSE,and the results suggest that LiF additive can actually improve the high-voltage compatibility of cathode and *** the obtained results confirm that the strategy of using synergistic additives in CSE is an effective way to achieve high-voltage ASSLBs with dual-interfaces stability.

Voltammetric Determination of Epinephrine in the Presence of Uric Acid Based on Aminated Graphene and Ag NPs Hybrid Membrane Modified Electrode

A hybrid membrane consisted of aminated graphene and Ag nanoparticles（Ag NPs） was prepared on the surface of glassy carbon electrode（GCE） by cyclic voltammetry（CV） with aminated graphene（GR-NH2） as matrix for immobilizing Ag *** morphology and electrochemical properties of this hybrid membrane were characterized by scanning electron microscopy（SEM） and CV,respectively,and on this membrane,the voltammetric behaviors of epinephrine（EP） were studied in *** membrane exhibited excellent eletro-catalytic activities for the redox of EP,and could resolve the electrochemical response of EP and uric acid（UA） into two oxidation *** peak current of EP was linear with its concentration in the ranges of 0.916-18.3 μmol/L and 18.3-184 μmol/*** detection limit was 2.0 nmol/L（S/N=3）.The proposed modified electrode retained the advantages of easy fabrication,high sensitivity and good repeatability for the determination of EP.
