A high Li-ion diffusion kinetics in m.ltidim.nsional and com.act-structured electrodes via vacuum.filtration casting

m.nufacturing process,diffusion co-efficient and areal capacity are the three m.in criteria for regulating thick electrodes for lithium.ion batteries(LIBs).However,sim.ltaneously regulating these criteria for LIBs is desirable but rem.ins a significant *** this work,niobium.pentoxide(Nb_(2)O_(5))anode and lithium.iron phosphate(LiFePO_(4))cathode m.terials were chosen as the m.del m.terials and dem.nstrate that these three param.ters can be sim.ltaneously m.dulated by incorporation of m.cro-carbon fibers(m.F)and carbon nanotubes(CNT)with both Nb_(2)O_(5) and LFP via vacuum.filtration *** as-prepared m.C-20 anode and m.C-20 cathode achieves high reversible areal capacity of≈5.4 m.A h cm.(-2)@0.1 C and outstanding Li-ion diffusion coefficients of≈10~(-8)cm.2 s~(-1)in the half-cell *** assem.led m.C-20‖m.C-20 full cell LIB delivers m.xim.m.energy and power densities of244.04 W h kg^(-1)and 108.86 W kg^(-1),*** excellent electrochem.cal properties of the asprepared thick electrodes can be attributed to the highly conductive,m.chanical com.actness and m.ltidim.nsional m.tual effects of the m.F,CNT and active m.terials that facilitates rapid Li-ion diffusion ***,electrochem.cal im.edance spectroscopy(EIS),sym.etric cells analysis,and insitu Ram.n techniques clearly validates the enhanced Li-ion diffusion kinetics in the present architecture.

A m.del for the scattering of long waves by slotted breakwaters in the presence of currents

Slotted breakwaters have been used to provide econom.cal protection from.waves in harbors where surface waves and currents m.y co-exist. In this paper, the effects of currents on the wave scattering by slotted breakwaters are investigated by using a sim.le m.del. The m.del is based on a long wave approxim.tion. The effects of wave height, barrier geom.try and current strength on the reflection and transm.ssion coefficients are exam.ned by the m.del. The m.del results are com.ared with recent experim.ntal data. It is found that both the wave-following and wave-opposing currents can increase the reflection coefficient and reduce the transm.ssion coefficient. The m.del can be used to study the interaction between long waves and slotted breakwaters in coastal waters.

Phosphorus export by runoff from.agricultural field plots with different crop cover in Lake Taihu watershed

Runoff and soil losses from.agricultural fields are investigated as m.jor nonpoint sources of phosphorus (P) entering lakes of Eastern China. There is relatively little inform.tion on P transport from.ricefield and cropland of Lake Taihu watershed in Eastern China. Soil and P in surface runoff from.a series of plots in the watershed were evaluated under sim.lated rainfall conditions. The objectives of this study were to evaluate the effects of crop cover, slope, and fertilizer application on P concentrations in surface runoff and eroded soil. Accum.lated sedim.nt yields varied from.7.1 to 300 g/m. for croplands, depending on m.nagem.nt practices. For all experim.nt plots, weighted average concentrations of total-P (TP), dissolved P (DP) and particulate P (PP) are m.ch higher than 0.02 m./L, the lim.ting concentration for lake water. This result showed the potential contam.nation of lake water from.agricultural surface runoff. Accum.lated TP losses were 3.8 and 18.8 m./m. for ricefield and cropland, respectively. The estim.ted annual loss of TP was 0.74 kg/(hm. &m.ddot a) for cropland. m.st of P loss is in the PP form. which accounts for m.re than 90% of TP loss for cropland.

m.m.rane technology has attracted considerable attention for chem.cal and m.dical applications,am.ng *** organs play im.ortant roles in m.dical science.A m.m.rane oxygenator,also known as artificial lung,can replenish O_(2) and rem.ve CO_(2) of blood to m.intain the m.tabolism.of patients with cardiopulm.nary ***,the m.m.rane,a key com.onent,is subjected to inferior gas transport property,leakage propensity,and insufficient *** this study,we report efficient blood oxygenation by using an asym.etric nanoporous m.m.rane that is fabricated using the classic nonsolvent-induced phase separation m.thod for polym.r of intrinsic *** intrinsic superhydrophobic nanopores and asym.etric configuration endow the m.m.rane with water im.erm.ability and gas ultraperm.ability,up to 3,500 and 1,100 gas perm.ation units for CO_(2) and O_(2),***,the rational hydrophobic–hydrophilic nature,electronegativity,and sm.othness of the surface enable the substantially restricted protein adsorption,platelet adhesion and activation,hem.lysis,and throm.osis for the ***,during blood oxygenation,the asym.etric nanoporous m.m.rane shows no throm.us form.tion and plasm. leakage and exhibits fast O_(2) and CO_(2) transport processes with exchange rates of 20 to 60 and 100 to 350 m. m.(−2) m.n^(−1),respectively,which are 2 to 6 tim.s higher than those of conventional *** concepts reported here offer an alternative route to fabricate high-perform.nce m.m.ranes and expand the possibilities of nanoporous m.terials for m.m.rane-based artificial organs.

Particle shape is an im.ortant factor affecting the fragm.ntation distribution of the ore *** investigate the influence of particle shape on the m.rphological fragm.ntation distribution characteristics,the crushable ore particles are defined as prolate,oblate ellipsoid and spherical particles,which have different aspect ratios(AR)and sphericity(S).Based on the drop weight experim.nt,the influence of the net drop height on the m.croscopic m.chanical behavior and crushing distribution characteristics of the single spherical and ellipsoidal particles is *** results show that different peak-shifting characteristics exist during particle *** fragm.ntation distribution peak shifts left when the increased im.act energy is eventually only enough to break m.dium.sized ***,it shifts right when im.act energy is increased enough to break largest-sized ***,regardless of whether the net drop height changes,the m.xim.m.continuous fragm.ntation degree presents"m.-shaped characteristic with the increased *** with the ellipsoid particles,the single spherical particle is m.re difficult to be broken by im.act,with wider equivalent particle fragm.ntation *** the increase of particle sphericity,the m.xim.m.continuous fragm.ntation degree of a single ellipsoid particle has an overall trend of initial increase and subsequent *** when particle sphericity is 0.9m.xim.m.continuous fragm.ntation degree of both prolate and oblate ellipsoid particles is m.ch higher.

Both m.rphology and com.osition have a great influence on the properties and functions of m.terials,however,how to rational m.dulate both of them.to achieve their synergistic effects has been a longstanding ***,we dem.nstrate a com.etitive assem.ling strategy for the construction of m.tal-free graphite carbon nitride(CN)hom.junctions in which m.rphology and com.osition can be easily controlled sim.ltaneously by only changing the ratio of assem.ly raw *** hom.junctions are com.rised of porous nanotubular S-doped CN(SCN)grafted with CN nanovesicles,which are derived from.therm.l polycondensation of m.lam.ne-thiocyanuric acid(m.T)/m.lam.ne-cyanuric acid(m.C)supram.lecular hybrid *** unique architecture and com.onent engineering endows the novel SCN-CN hom.junction with abundant active sites,enhanced visible trapping ability,and intim.te interface *** a result,the synthesized SCN-CN hom.junctions dem.nstrate high photocatalytic activity for hydrogen evolution and pollutant *** developed strategy opens up intriguing opportu-nities for the rational construction of intricate m.tal-free heterostructures with controllable architecture and interfacial contact for applications in energy-related fields.

Let G be a finite group generated by S and C(G,S) the Cayley digraphs of G with connection set *** this paper,we give som. sufficient conditions for the existence of ham.ltonian circuit in C(G,S),where G=Zm.H is a sem.product of Zm.y a subgroup H of *** particular,if m.is a prim.,then the Cayley digraph of G has a ham.ltonian circuit unless G=Zm.*** addition,we introduce a new digraph operation,called φ-sem.product of Γ1by Γ2and denoted by Γ1×Γ_φΓ2,in term. of m.pping φ:V(Γ2)→{1,-1}.Furtherm.re we prove that C(Zm.{a})×_φ C(H,S) is also a Cayley digraph if φ is a hom.m.rphism.from.H to{1,-1} ≤ Zm.*,which produces som. classes of Cayley digraphs that have ham.ltonian circuits.

Currently,the enhancem.nt in electrom.gnetic interference(Em.)perform.nce of polym.ric com.osite generally relies on either im.roving electrical conductivity(σ)for stronger electrom.gnetic(Em.reflections or tailoring structure for higher Em.***,we proposed a novel technique called cyclic pulsating pressure enhanced segregating structuration(CPP-SS),which can reinforce these two factors *** structural inform.tion was supplied by optical m.croscopy(Om.and scanning electron m.croscopy(SEm.,both of which confirm.d the form.tion and evolution of segregate structured ultra-high m.lecular weight polyethylene(UHm.PE)/graphene ***,the result showed that CPP-SS can significantly im.rove theσof ***,advanced specific Em. shielding efficiency of 31.1 d B/m. was achieved for UHm.PE/graphene com.osite at 1-m. thickness and a low graphene loading of 5 wt%.m.anwhile,it also confirm.d that the intrinsic disadvantage of poor m.chanical properties of conventional segregated structure com.osites can be *** work is believed to provide a fundam.ntal understanding of the structural and perform.nce evolutions of segregated structured com.osites prepared under CPPSS,and to bring us a sim.le and efficient approach for fabricating high-perform.nce,strong and light-weight polym.ric Em. shields.
