Cavitation research with computational fluid dynamics:From Euler-Euler to Euler-Lagrange approach

Unsteady cavitating flow often contains vapor structures with a wide range of different length scales,from micro-bubbles to large cavities,which issues a big challenge to precisely investigate its evolution mechanism by computational fluid dynamics(CFD)*** present work reviews the development of simulation methods for cavitation,especially the emerging Euler-Lagrange ***,the progress of the numerical investigation of hot and vital issues is discussed,including cavitation inception,cloud cavitation inner structure and its formation mechanism,cavitation erosion,and cavitation *** is indicated that the Euler-Lagrange method can determine cavitation inception point *** cloud cavitation,the Euler-Lagrange method can reveal the source of microbubbles and their distribution law inside the shedding *** method also has advantages and great potential in assessing cloud cavitation-induced erosion and *** the ever-growing demands of cavitation simulation accuracy in basic research and engineering applications,how to improve the Euler-Lagrange method’s stability and applicability is still an open *** further promote the application of this advanced CFD simulation technology in cavitation research,some key issues are to be solved and feasible suggestions are put forward for further work.

Time-frequency analysis is a successfully used tool for analyzing the local features of seismic ***, it suffers from several inevitable limitations, such as the restricted time-frequency resolution,the difficulty in selecting parameters, and the low computational efficiency. Inspired by deep learning,we suggest a deep learning-based workflow for seismic time-frequency analysis. The sparse S transform network(SSTNet) is first built to map the relationship between synthetic traces and sparse S transform spectra, which can be easily pre-trained by using synthetic traces and training labels. Next, we introduce knowledge distillation(KD) based transfer learning to re-train SSTNet by using a field data set without training labels, which is named the sparse S transform network with knowledge distillation(KD-SSTNet).In this way, we can effectively calculate the sparse time-frequency spectra of field data and avoid the use of field training labels. To test the availability of the suggested KD-SSTNet, we apply it to field data to estimate seismic attenuation for reservoir characterization and make detailed comparisons with the traditional time-frequency analysis methods.

We explore the generation of topological defects in the course of a dynamical phase transition in a ring with a weak link, i.e., a SSS Josephson junction, from the AdS/CFT correspondence. By setting different parameters of the junction(width, steepness,depth) and the final temperature of the quench, the configurations of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters of the dual field theory are presented. Meanwhile, we observe that in the final equilibrium state, variations in parameters of the junctions only affect the configurations of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters, without altering their values outside the junction. However, variations in the final temperature will directly affect the values of the charge density and condensate of the order parameters outside of the junction. Moreover, in the final equilibrium state, we propose an analytic relation between the gauge-invariant velocity in the two superconducting states in the SSS Josephson junction, which agrees well with the numerical results.

We study the SM-like Higgs boson decays h→MZ in the triplet extended NMSSM(TNMSSM),where M is a vector meson(ρ,ω,φ,J/ψ,Υ).Compared to the minimal supersymmetric standard model(MSSM),the TNMSSM includes two new SU(2) triplets with hypercharge ±1 and an SM gauge singlet,which are coupled to each *** indirect contributions to the h→MZ decays are produced from the effective hyZ vertex,and they are more important than the direct *** results of this work could encourage a detection on h→Zγ at the future high energy colliders for exploring new physics beyond the SM.

Pumping ventilation(PV),a special single-sided ventilation(SSV),has been certified as an effective strategy to improve the air exchange rate of ***,most studies targeted on the single space,and few studies have been focused on the effect of internal partitioning on *** paper aims to evaluate the ventilation performance of PV influenced by different configurations of internal *** fluid dynamics(CFD)simulation was used to predict the flow fields and ventilation *** width(w/H),height(h/H)and location(d/H)are the three main internal partition parameters considered in this *** simulation results showed that the total,mean and fluctuating ventilation rates all decrease with wider internal *** normalized total ventilation rate decreases by 7.6%when w/H is increased from 50%to 75%.However,the reduction rate is only 0.23%between w/H=0 and 25%,and only 0.61%between w/H=25%and 50%.The ventilation rate is hardly reduced by increasing the partition width when w/Hgreatly reduced by wider partition for w/H>50%.Increasing the partition height will reduce the mean ventilation rate but promote the fluctuating and total ventilation rate in some *** increase of total ventilation rate by 1.4%is observed from h/H=50%to 75%.The ventilation rate is larger when the internal partition is attached to the leeward or windward *** total,mean and fluctuating ventilation rates for d/H=50%are relatively higher than d/H=0 by 1.5%,3.1%and 0.8%,*** the internal partition should be mounted attached to the windward wall so as to obtain the greatest pumping ventilation *** periodicity of pumping flow oscillation and pumping frequency are independent of the partition *** peak power of pumping flow is the lowest for the widest internal partition and is negatively affected by the partition height,but it generally has a positive correlation with the distance between the partition and leeward wa
