ResLNet:deep residual LSTM network with longer input for action recognition

Action recognition is an important research topic in video analysis that remains very *** recognition relies on learning a good representation of both spatial information(for appearance)and temporal information(for motion).These two kinds of information are highly correlated but have quite different properties,leading to unsatisfying results of both connecting independent models(e.g.,CNN-LSTM)and direct unbiased co-modeling(e.g.,3DCNN).Besides,a long-lasting tradition on this task with deep learning models is to just use 8 or 16 consecutive frames as input,making it hard to extract discriminative motion *** this work,we propose a novel network structure called ResLNet(Deep Residual LSTM network),which can take longer inputs(e.g.,of 64 frames)and have convolutions collaborate with LSTM more effectively under the residual structure to learn better spatial-temporal representations than ever without the cost of extra computations with the proposed embedded variable stride *** superiority of this proposal and its ablation study are shown on the three most popular benchmark datasets:Kinetics,HMDB51,and *** proposed network could be adopted for various features,such as RGB and optical *** to the limitation of the computation power of our experiment equipment and the real-time requirement,the proposed network is tested on the RGB only and shows great performance.

In this paper, we first investigate input passivity and output passivity for a class of impulsive complex networks with time-varying delays. By constructing suitable Lyapunov functionals, some input passivity and output passivity conditions are derived for the impulsive complex networks. Finally, an example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed criteria.

H-infinity control for air-breathing hypersonic vehicle based on online simultaneous policy update algorithm

Purpose–The air-breathing hypersonic vehicle(AHV)includes intricate inherent coupling between the propulsion system and the airframe dynamics,which results in an intractable nonlinear system for the controller *** purpose of this paper is to propose an H1 control method for AHV based on the online simultaneous policy update algorithm(SPUA).Design/methodology/approach–Initially,the H1 state feedback control problem of the AHV is converted to the problem of solving the Hamilton-Jacobi-Isaacs(HJI)equation,which is notoriously difficult to solve both numerically and *** overcome this difficulty,the online SPUA is introduced to solve the HJI equation without requiring the accurate knowledge of the internal system ***,the online SPUA is implemented on the basis of an actor-critic structure,in which neural network(NN)is employed for approximating the cost function and a least-square method is used to calculate the NN weight ***–Simulation study on the AHV demonstrates the effectiveness of the proposed H1 control ***/value–The paper presents an interesting method for the H1 state feedback control design problem of the AHV based on online SPUA.

This paper investigates the exponential stabilization problem of nonlinear parabolic partial differential equation(PDE)systems via sampled-data fuzzy control approach. Initially, the nonlinear PDE system is accurately represented by the TakagiSugeno(T-S) fuzzy PDE model. Then, based on the fuzzy PDE model, a novel time-dependent Lyapunov functional is used to design a sampled-data fuzzy controller such that the closed-loop fuzzy PDE system is exponentially stable with a given decay rate. The stabilization condition is presented in terms of a set of linear matrix inequalities(LMIs). Finally, simulation results on the temperature profile of a catalytic rod show that the proposed design method is effective.

CO_(2)electrochemical reduction reaction(CO_(2)RR)to formate is a hopeful pathway for reducing CO_(2)and producing high-value chemicals,which needs highly selective catalysts with ultra-broad potential windows to meet the industrial ***,the nanorod-like bimetallic ln_(2)O_(3)/Bi_(2)O_(3)catalysts were successfully synthesized by pyrolysis of bimetallic InBi-MOF *** abundant oxygen vacancies generated from the lattice mismatch of Bi_(2)O_(3)and ln_(2)O_(3)reduced the activation energy of CO_(2)to*CO_(2)·^(-)and improved the selectivity of*CO_(2)·^(-)to formate ***,the carbon skeleton derived from the pyrolysis of organic framework of InBi-MOF provided a conductive network to accelerate the electrons *** catalyst exhibited an ultra-broad applied potential window of 1200 mV(from-0.4 to-1.6 V vs RHE),relativistic high Faradaic efficiency of formate(99.92%)and satisfactory stability after 30 *** in situ FT-IR experiment and DFT calculation verified that the abundant oxygen vacancies on the surface of catalysts can easily absorb CO_(2)molecules,and oxygen vacancy path is dominant *** work provides a convenient method to construct high-performance bimetallic catalysts for the industrial application of CO_(2)RR.

Dynamic Movement Primitives（DMPs）,which represent movement plans based on a set of nonlinear differential equations with well-defined attractor dynamics,have been adapted for movement *** this paper,we present a trajectory generation method for mobile agent from multiple demonstration using *** original DMPs can be only used to learn from single *** order to adapt multiple demonstrations of different tasks,we use DMPs with Takagi-Sugeno fuzzy model to realize autonomous trajectory *** proposed scheme is capable to regenerate trajectory in the presence of obstacles even when the goal position is altered.A simulation example is given to confirm the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.

This paper is focused on the source term estimation（STE） with unknown number of sources. The dispersion model of multiple point sources is constructed firstly. Then the cost function is established by using the outputs of dispersion model and the fixed sensor network’s measurements. To ensure finding the global minimum of the cost function, the Improved Cuckoo Search（ICS） algorithm is applied. Simulations with different sensor and noise modes are designed to evaluate the estimating performance. Finally, comparison of ICS, Particle Swarm Optimization（PSO） and Genetic Algorithm（GA） proves the superiority of ICS in this problem.

This paper considers the sampled-data observer design problem of linear time-delay distributed parameter systems（DPSs） described by partial differential equations（PDEs）.By utilizing a Lyapunov functional,a sampled-data observer is proposed to stabilize exponentially the estimation error *** stabilization condition is presented in the formulation of linear matrix inequalities（LMIs）.Finally,simulation results of a numerical example are provided to illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed method.

This paper studies the reachable set estimation problem of a class of human-in-the-loop（Hi TL） control systems described by a controlled hidden Markov jump model. Our aim is to determine an ellipsoid-like set which bounds all the machine state trajectories of the Hi TL system under zero initial condition. By using a stochastic Lyapunov functional, a reachable set estimation condition is established, which is provided in terms of a set of matrix inequalities. Finally, an example is given to show the effectiveness of the proposed result.
