High-entropy alloys(HEAs)possess outstanding features such as corrosion resistance,irradiation resistance,and good mechan-ical properties.A few HEAs have found applications in the fields of aerospace and *** studies on the deformation mech-anisms of HEAs can guide microstructure control and toughness design,which is vital for understanding and studying state-of-the-art structural *** X-ray and neutron diffraction are necessary techniques for materials science research,especially for in situ coupling of physical/chemical fields and for resolving macro/microcrystallographic information on ***,several re-searchers have applied synchrotron X-ray and neutron diffraction methods to study the deformation mechanisms,phase transformations,stress behaviors,and in situ processes of HEAs,such as variable-temperature,high-pressure,and hydrogenation *** this review,the principles and development of synchrotron X-ray and neutron diffraction are presented,and their applications in the deformation mechanisms of HEAs are *** factors that influence the deformation mechanisms of HEAs are also *** review fo-cuses on the microstructures and micromechanical behaviors during tension/compression or creep/fatigue deformation and the application of synchrotron X-ray and neutron diffraction methods to the characterization of dislocations,stacking faults,twins,phases,and intergrain/interphase stress *** on future developments of synchrotron X-ray and neutron diffraction and on research directions on the deformation mechanisms of novel metals are discussed.

Optimal investment based on relative performance and weighted utility

This paper studies the optimal portfolio allocation of a fund manager when he bases decisions on both the absolute level of terminal relative performance and the change value of terminal relative performance comparison to a predefined reference point. We find the optimal investment strategy by maximizing a weighted average utility of a concave utility and an Sshaped utility via a concavification technique and the martingale method. Numerical results are carried out to show the impact of the extent to which the manager pays attention to the change of relative performance related to the reference point on the optimal terminal relative performance.

In this work,we propose a low-regularity Fourier integrator with almost mass conservation to solve the Davey-StewartsonⅡsystem(hyperbolic-elliptic case).Arbitrary order mass convergence could be achieved by the suitable addition of correction terms,while keeping the first order accuracy in H~γ×H^(γ+1)for initial data in H^(γ+1)×H^(γ+1)withγ>*** main theorem is that,up to some fixed time T,there exist constantsτ_(0)and C depending only on T and‖u‖_(L^(∞)((0,T);H^(γ+1)))such that,for any 0<τ≤τ_(0),we have that‖u(t_(n),·)-u^(n)‖H_γ≤C_(τ),‖v(t_(n),·)-v^(n)‖_(Hγ+1)≤C_(τ),where u^(n)and v^(n)denote the numerical solutions at t_(n)=nτ.Moreover,the mass of the numerical solution M(u^(n))satisfies that|M(u^(n))-M(u_0)|≤Cτ~5.

Tuning microstructures of TC4 ELI to improve explosion resistance

A reasonable heat treatment process for TC4 ELI titanium alloy is crucial to tune microstructures to improve its explosion ***,there is limited investigation on tuning microstructures of TC4 ELI to improve explosion ***,the current challenge is quantifying microstructural changes'effects on explosion resistance and incorporating microstructural changes into finite element *** work aims to tune microstructures to improve explosion resistance and elucidate their anti-explosion mechanism,and find a suitable method to incorporate microstructural changes into finite element *** this work,we systematically study the deformation and failure characteristics of TC4 ELI plates with varying microstructures using an air explosion test and LS-DYNA finite element *** Johnson-Cook(JC)constitutive parameters are used to quantify the effects of microstructural changes on explosion resistance and incorporate microstructural changes into finite element *** of the heat treatment,one plate has equiaxed microstructure and the other has bimodal *** convex of the plate after the explosion has a quadratic relationship with the charge mass,and the simulation results demonstrate high reliability,with the error less than 17.5%.Therefore,it is feasible to obtain corresponding JC constitutive parameters based on the differences in microstructures and mechanical properties and characterize the effects of microstructural changes on explosion *** bimodal target exhibits excellent deformation *** response of bimodal microstructure to the shock wave may be more intense under explosive *** well-coordinated structure of the bimodal target enhances its resistance to deformation.

Bacterial pathogens pose a serious threat to human health,and there is an urgent need to develop highly effective antibacterial materials to eliminate the increasingly serious contamination of drug-resistant ***,a Cu-doped ZIF-8 particle with unsaturated copper exhibits high peroxidase-like activity.99.998%antibacterial efficiency against *** can be achieved for 30 min at a low concentration of 50μg·mL^(−1),as well as complete sterilization against ***(up to 8 log).99.999%antibacterial efficiency against Methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus can be achieved,performing orders of magnitude higher than *** mechanism shows that the unsaturated Cu-Nx sites are enzyme-like active centers,which could promote the consumption of bacteria reducing substances by H_(2)O_(2),and the generated*OH further aggravates bacterial oxidative stress and membrane *** importantly,the oxidation activity of adsorbed oxygen species on Cu-ZIF-8 is enhanced by charge transfer and structural changes between the ligand and copper center like natural ***-doped ZIF-8 with peroxidase-like activity shows great potential in antibacterial application and the revealed catalytic mechanism is helpful for understanding the high antibacterial activity of nanoparticles with Cu-Nx sites.

Strain Gradient Finite Element Formulation of Flexoelectricity in Ferroelectric Material Based on Phase-Field Method

Flexoelectricity is a two-way coupling effect between the strain gradient and electric field that exists in all dielectrics,regardless of point group ***,the high-order derivatives of displacements involved in the strain gradient pose challenges in solving electromechanical coupling problems incorporating the flexoelectric *** this study,we formulate a phase-field model for ferroelectric materials considering the flexoelectric effect.A four-node quadrilateral element with 20 degrees of freedom is constructed without introducing high-order shape *** microstructure evolution of domains is described by an independent order parameter,namely the spontaneous polarization governed by the time-dependent Ginzburg–Landau *** model is developed based on a thermodynamic framework,in which a set of microforces is introduced to construct the constitutive relation and evolution *** the flexoelectric part of electric enthalpy,the strain gradient is determined by interpolating the mechanical strain at the node via the values of Gaussian integration points in the isoparametric *** model is shown to be capable of reproducing the classic analytical solution of dielectric materials incorporating the flexoelectric *** model is verified by duplicating some typical phenomena in flexoelectricity in cylindrical tubes and truncated pyramids.A comparison is made between the polarization distribution in dielectrics and *** model can reproduce the solution to the boundary value problem of the cylindrical flexoelectric tube,and demonstrate domain twisting at domain walls in ferroelectrics considering the flexoelectric effect.

Convergence analysis for complementary-label learning with kernel ridge regression

Complementary-label learning(CLL)aims at finding a classifier via samples with complementary *** data is considered to contain less information than ordinary-label *** transition matrix between the true label and the complementary label,and some loss functions have been developed to handle this *** this paper,we show that CLL can be transformed into ordinary classification under some mild conditions,which indicates that the complementary labels can supply enough information in most *** an example,an extensive misclassification error analysis was performed for the Kernel Ridge Regression(KRR)method applied to multiple complementary-label learning(MCLL),which demonstrates its superior performance compared to existing approaches.

Maximum Principle for Stochastic Control System with Elephant Memory and Jump Diffusion

Motivated by a duopoly game problem,the authors study an optimal control problem where the system is driven by Brownian motion and Poisson point process and has elephant memory for the control variable and the state ***,the authors establish the unique solvability of an anticipated backward stochastic differential equation,derive a stochastic maximum principle,and prove a verification theorem for the aforementioned optimal control ***,the authors generalize these results to nonzero-sum stochastic differential game ***,the authors apply the theoretical results to the duopoly game problem and obtain the corresponding Nash equilibrium solution.
