Lattice thermal conductivity(LTC)of cadmium ars.nide(Cd_(3)As_(2))is studied over a wide temperature range(1–400 K)by employing the Callaway *** acoustic phonons are considered to be the major carriers of heat and to be scattered by the sample boundaries,disorder,impurities,and other phonons via both Umklapp and normal phonon *** calculations of LTC of Cd_(3)As_(2)bring out the relative importance of the scattering *** systematic analysis of recent experimental data on thermal conductivity(TC)of Cd_(3)As_(2)samples of different groups,pres.nted in terms of LTC,κL,us.ng a nonlinear regression method,reveals good fits to the TC data of the samples considered for Tnd suggests a value of 0.2 for the Gruneis.n *** is,however,found that for T>100 K the inclusion of the electronic component of TC,κe,incorporating contributions from relevant electron scattering mechanisms,is.needed to obtain good agreement with the TC data over the wide temperature *** detailed investigations of TC of Cd_(3)As_(2)are required to better understand its suitability in thermoelectric and thermal management devices.

We propose a new ion-trap geometry to carry out accurate measurements of the quadrupole shifts in the （171）Yb *** trap will minimize the quadrupole shift due to the harmonic component of the confining potential by an order of *** will be useful to reduce the uncertainties in the clock frequency measurements of the 6s 2s（1/2）→4f（13）6s2 2F（7/2）and 6s 2s（1/2）→5d2D（3/2） transitions,from which we can deduce the precise values of the quadrupole moments（0s） of the 4f（13）6s2 2F（7/2） and 5d2D（3/2） ***,it may be able to affirm the validity of the measured 0 value of the4f（13）6s22F（7/2） state,for which three independent theoretical studies defer almost by one order of magnitude from the *** also calculate 0s us.ng the relativistic coupled-cluster（RCC） *** use these 0 values to estimate the quadrupole shift that can be measured in our proposed ion trap experiment.

An innovative photocatalyst, Carbon nanotube （CnT） supported Ce-TiO2 nanocomposite was successfully s.nthesized via modi-fied sol gel method and investigated in a batch reactor for abolition of phenol under UV light spectrum. Characterization of catalyst micro-structure and internal properties were done by means of X-ray diffraction （XRD）, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller （BET）, scanning electron micros-copy （sEM）, transmission electron microscopy （TEM） and UV-vis diffuse reflectance spectra （DRs）. Ce doping can inhibit phase transfor-mation from anatase to rutile and eliminate the recombination of electron-hole pairs in the catalyst. The pres.nce of CnT in TiO2 composite can both increase the photoactivity under UV and change surface properties to achieve s.nsitivity to visible light. The optimum mass ratio of CnT support and cerium （Ce） dopant in TiO2 was the prominent factor to harvest CnT/Ce-TiO2 photocatalyst nanocomposite. The results demonstrated that optimum mass ratio of CnT：TiO2：Ce was 0.02：1.0：0.06, which resulted in the great performance of the photocatalyst to de-grade about 94% of phenol in a 50 mg/L solution in only 3 h. In this paper, dissimilar role of CnT support and Ce dopant in the TiO2 photo-catalysis of phenol was also discussed.

Transition metal sulfides(TMs)hold great promise as anode materials for Li^(+)/na^(+)***,their practical application still faces several challenges,such as inadequate electrical conductivity,substantial volume changes and a propensity for *** tackle these challenges,a 3D composite structure composed of graphene nanosheets crosslinked core−shell Fes_(2)@n,s co−doped porous carbon(Fes_(2)@nsC/Gns)is created by combining self−template polymerization with the graphene encapsulation *** characterization and analysis demonstrate the effectiveness of the self−template polymerization strategy in generating a porous core−shell structure,which facilitates the uniform dispersion and optimal contact of the Fes_(2) core within the carbon ***,the integration of graphene,alongside the porous carbon shell,introduces a sophisticated dual−protection mechanism against volume expansion and undesirable Fes_(2) ***,the resulting 3D architecture enables efficient electron/ion transport and provides abundant sites for Li^(+)/na^(+)*** these inherent benefits,the Fes_(2)@nsC/Gns composite exhibits significantly improved lithium/sodium storage performance in comparis.n to the ***,our proposed approach offers valuable guidance for the construction of advanced anodes for lithium/sodium−ion batteries.

Background： The current study evaluated the subcutaneous fatty acid （FA） composition of calf- and yearling-fed steer with or without growth promoting implants. Crossbred steers （n = 112; 267 ± 5.0 kg） of the same contemporary group were allocated to one of four production system and implant strategy based treatments in a completely randomized design with a 2 × 2 factorial arrangement of treatments. Results： There were no interactions （P 〉 0.05） between production systems and growth promoting implants for the total and individual subcutaneous FA. Yearling as opposed to calf finishing reduced （P 〈 0.05） subcutaneous proportions of C20：3n-6, trans （t）l 2-18：1, C14：0, several minor cis-monounsaturated FA （c-MUFA; c9-14：1, c11-16：1, cl 1-18：1, cl 2-18：1, cl 3-18：1, c9-20：1 and cl 1-20：1）, and increased （P 〈 0.05） subcutaneous proportions of tl 1 cl 5-18：2, total and individual branched-chain FA. subcutaneous fat from steers implanted with growth promotants had higher （P 〈 0.05） proportions of total polyunsaturated FA （PUFA）, total n-6 PUFA, C18：2n-6 and individual t-18：1 isomers （t6 to tl0） compared to non-implanted steers. Conclusions： Overall, current findings show that production systems and growth promotants led to only minor differences in subcutaneous FA composition of beef steers.

some compounds of group III-V semiconductor materials exhibit very good piezoelectric,mechanical,and thermal properties and their use in surface acoustic wave(sAW) devices operating specially at GHz *** materials have been appreciated for a long time due to their high acoustic velocities,which are important parameters for active microelectromechanical systems(MEMs) *** this object,first-principles calculations of the anisotropy and the hydrostatic pressure effect on the mechanical,piezoelectric and some thermal properties of the(B3) boron phosphide are pres.nted,us.ng the density functional perturbation theory(DFPT).The independent elastic and compliance constants,the Reuss modulus,Voigt modulus,and the shear modulus,the Kleinman parameter,the Cauchy and Born coefficients,the elastic modulus,and the Poiss.n ratio for directions within the important crystallographic planes of this compound under pressure are *** direct and converse piezoelectric coefficients,the longitudinal,transverse,and average sound velocity,the Debye temperature,and the Debye frequency of(B3) boron phosphide under pressure are also pres.nted and compared with available experimental and theoretical data of the literature.

Approximate dynamic programming(ADP) formulation implemented with an adaptive critic(AC)-based neural network(nn) structure has evolved as a powerful technique for solving the Hamilton-Jacobi-Bellman(HJB) *** interest in ADP and the AC solutions are escalating with time,there is a dire need to consider possible enabling factors for their implementations.A typical AC structure consists of two interacting nns,which is computationally *** this paper,a new architecture,called the ’cost-function-based s.ngle network adaptive critic(J-snAC)’ is pres.nted,which eliminates one of the networks in a typical AC *** approach is applicable to a wide class of nonlinear systems in *** order to demonstrate the benefits and the control s.nthesis with the J-snAC,two problems have been solved with the AC and the J-snAC *** are pres.nted,which show savings of about 50% of the computational costs by J-snAC while having the same accuracy levels of the dual network structure in solving for optimal ***,convergence of the J-snAC iterations,which reduces to a least-squares problem,is discussed;for linear systems,the iterative process is shown to reduce to solving the familiar algebraic Ricatti equation.
