Liquid metals(LM) such as eutectic gallium-indium and gallium-indium-tin are important functional liquid-state metal materials with many unique properties, which have attracted wide attentions especially from soft robot area. Recently the amoeba-like transformations of LM on the graphite surface are discovered, which present a promising future for the design and assemble of self-fueled actuators with dendritically deformable body. It appears that the surface tension of the LM can be significantly reduced when it contacts graphite surface in alkaline solution. Clearly, the specific surface should play a vital role in inducing these intriguing behaviors, which is valuable and inspiring in soft robot design. However, the information regarding varied materials functions underlying these behaviors remains unknown. To explore the generalized effects of surface materials in those intriguing behavior, several materials including glass, graphite, nickel and copper oxides(CuO) were comparatively investigated as substrate *** results were obtained that only LM amoeba transformations were observed on graphite and CuO surfaces. In order to identify the proper surface condition for LM transformation, the intrinsic properties of substrate surfaces, such as the surface charge and roughness, as well as the specific interaction with LM like wetting behavior and mutual locomotion etc., were characterized. The integrated results revealed that LM droplet appears more likely to deform on surfaces with higher positive surface charge density, higher roughness and less bubble generation on them. In addition, another surface material,CuOx, is identified to own similar ability to graphite, which is valuable in achieving amoeba-like transformation. The release of anthropogenic greenhouse gases into the atmosphere poses serious risks to the environment and human health,and is a global threat of growing *** order to ameliorate the greenhouse gas emission problems,the efficient capture and separation of these greenhouse gases are greatly ***-organic framework(MOF)materials,a relatively new kind of organic-inorganic hybrid porous materials with unique framework features,tunable pore environment and high surface areas,have been widely studied as regards their applicability to this *** the well-defined structures of MOF materials greatly promote the understanding of structure-property *** this review,we intend to provide a profound account of significant progress in the field of capture and separation of greenhouse gases using MOFs as adsorbents,including carbon dioxide,methane,nitrous oxide and fluorocompounds(such as perfluorocarbons,sulfur hexafluoride,hydrochlorocarbons,and hydrofluocarbons).The strategies used to realize the efficient capture and separation of greenhouse gases have been summarized,and the relationships between the frameworks,their capture and separation performances and mechanisms are ***,the existing challenges and perspectives with regard to the development of MOF materials for the capture and separation of greenhouse gases and industrial practical application are outlined to further promote this very significant and active emerging topic.

Software-defined networks(SDN) maintain a global view of the network, thus improving the intelligence of forwarding decisions. With the expansion of the network scale, distributed controllers are used in a variety of large-scale networks in which subnetworks managed by controller instance are called autonomous domains. We analyze statistic frequency of communication across the autonomous domain. We calculate the autonomous domain correlations for controller instances using acquired statistical information. We cache network views to highly correlated controller instances. Distributed controllers are capable of considering both the average response time and overall storage. An experiment shows that our method can fully take advantage of these two performance indicators.

Filtering is an essential step in the process of obtaining rock data. To the best of our knowledge, there are no special algorithms for use in the point clouds of rock masses. Existing filtering methods remove noisy points by fitting the surface of the ground and deleting the points above the surface around a range of values. This type of methods has certain limitations in rock engineering owing the uniqueness of the particular rockmass being studied. In this paper, a method for filtering the rock points is proposed based on a backpropagation (BP) neural network and principal component analysis (PCA). In the proposed method, a PCA is applied for feature extraction, and for obtaining the dimensional information, which can be used to effectively distinguish the rock and other points at different scales. A BP neural network, which has a strong nonlinear processing capability, is then used to obtain the exact points of rock with the above characteristics. In the present paper, the efficiency of the proposed technique is illustrated by classifying steep rocky slopes as rock and vegetation. A comparison with existing methods indicates the superiority of the proposed method in terms of the point cloud filtering of rock masses.

A Mixed Non-local Prior Model for Image Super-resolution Reconstruction

Generating high-resolution image from a set of degraded low-resolution images is a challenge problem in image processing. Due to the ill-posed nature of Super-resolution(SR), it is necessary to find an effective image prior model to make it well-posed. For this purpose, we propose a mixed non-local prior model by adaptively combining the non-local total variation and non-local H1 models, and establish a multi-frame SR method based on this mixed non-local prior model. The unknown Highresolution(HR) image, motion parameters and hyperparameters related to the new prior model and noise statistics are determined automatically, resulting in an unsupervised super-resolution method. Extensive experiments demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed SR method,which can not only preserve image details better but also suppress noise better.

堰塞湖发生后极易形成溃决灾害链,亟需构建基于有限数据包的溃决快速定量风险评估方法。通过快速获取堰塞湖影响区域的三维地理信息,构建溃决-致灾的快速定量评估模型。基于堰塞湖坝体颗粒级配组成,实现精细化、简单化的稳定性快速评价;基于冲蚀特性和崩塌过程溃决机理,实现溃口流量变化过程分析与洪水演进过程模拟(1 h内);基于极限学习机网络模型建立风险人口与生命损失的函数,实现了生命损失评估预警,明晰了溃决-致灾的灾害链效应。将其应用于唐家山堰塞湖实例发现:研究方法能够较好地预警溃决灾害链;开挖引流槽可降低堰塞湖的溃口峰值流量、最大流速、溃口宽度和溃决库容,但无法防止溃决发生;若不开挖引流槽,溃决库容将达到3.14×10^(8) m^(3),溃口峰值流量达到9343.35 m^(3)/s,溃口顶宽增大到151.6 m,开挖引流槽可使溃口峰值流量减少12.6%,溃决库容减少36.5%,降低了堰塞湖的溃决风险;当提前预警时间超过2 h后,及时疏散下游淹没范围内的居民可使生命损失率降低为0。研究方法可实现堰塞湖应急处置时的快速定量风险评估,并为其应急处置决策提供技术支撑。

Space experimental investigation on thermocapillary migration of bubbles

Results from a space experiment on bubble thermocapillary migration conducted on board the Chinese 22nd recoverable satellite were presented. Considering the temperature field in the cell was disturbed by the accumulated bubbles, the temperature gradient was corrected firstly with the help of the temperature measurement data at six points and numerical simulation. Marangoni number (Ma) of single bubble migrating in the space experiment ranged from 98.04 to 9288, exceeding that in the previous experiment data. The experiment data including the track and the velocity of two bubble thermocapillary migration showed that a smaller bubble would move slower as it was passed by a larger one, and the smaller one would even rest in a short time when the size ratio was large enough.
