Conductive ferroelectric domain walls have attracted increasing research interest in the field of nanoelectronics, and the fabrication technique for such domain walls is vital. In this study, we investigated in detail the fabrication of conductive domain walls in x-cut congruent thin-film lithium niobate(TFLN) using an electrical-field poling technique. The ferroelectric domain structures can be controlled through the applied electrical field and applied pulse numbers, and the domain inversion process is related to the conduction characteristics of the domain walls. The domain structures in TFLN are revealed using confocal second-harmonic microscopy and piezoresponse force microscopy. The results provide further directions for the development and application of conductive domain walls in TFLN.

Glaciers in the Yarlung Zangbo Downstream Basin(YZDB) are sensitive to global climate change. The equilibrium-line altitude(ELA) is a key indicator of glacial development.Current models for simulating the meteorological ELA underestimate the extent of glacial advance during the Last Glacial Maximum(LGM) in the YZDB and cannot explain the large-scale glacial extension compared with the Yarlung Zangbo Midstream Basin(YZMB). In this study, the distribution of ELA in the LGM is reconstructed using high-resolution 80-km ECHAM5 simulations and empirical relationships between temperature and precipitation.Changes in ELA between the LGM and pre-industrial era(PI) are compared. Our simulated ELA closely fits the published field data. In the YZDB, simulated LGM ELAs range from ca.3500 m to over 4900 m, representing declines of ca. 300–950 m. The ECHAM5 simulations better reflect the complex topographic features than most coarse-resolution climate models,and the ELA distribution is controlled by the spatial arrangement of river valley systems and mountain ranges and their impact on precipitation. Compared with the PI era, most of the monsoon precipitation in the LGM was concentrated in the YZDB, which is the main driver of glacial extension and the differential response of the downstream and midstream basins.

Synthesizing bimetallic nanomaterials,with noble metals as the surface layers and inert metals as the substrates,has been proven to be an effective way to reduce the use of noble metals with maintained catalytic activity.However,an atomic diffusion from the inert substrate to the surface during the long-term operation has been reported to significantly decrease the activity.In this work,a series of catalysis-inert Cu-coated Ni foil were fabricated through electrodeposition and their activities for alkaline hydrogen evolution were investigated.Notably,the Ni/Cu-60 sample showed a similar catalytic property with pure Ni foil and only a slight decrease in HER activity was observed.The X-ray photoelectron spectroscopy(XPS)results indicated a decreased electron concentration of Cu in Ni/Cu-60,and theoretical calculations further demonstrated the electron transfer between the Ni substrate and Cu layer.Our results reveal that a specific composition or structure of an inert metal layer might not significantly decrease the electrocatalytic activity of active metals.Moreover,there are more possibilities for the rational design of metal-based catalysts for electrocatalysis.

Helicobacter pylori(H.pylori)infection is a threat to human health.The lipopolysaccharide(LPS)O-antigen holds promise for developing vaccines.It is meaningful to explore the immunological activity of oligosaccharides with different lengths and frameshifts for antigen development.Herein,a glycan library of H.pylori O2 O-antigen containing eight fragments is constructed.After screening with anti-H.pylori O2 LPS sera and patients’sera by glycan microarray,the disaccharide HPO2G-2b and trisaccharide HPO2G-3a show strong antigenicity and then are separately conjugated with carrier protein CRM197.Both glycoconjugates elicit a robust immunoglobulin G(IgG)immune response in rabbits.The anti-HPO2G-3a IgG antibodies possess a much stronger binding affinity with the LPS and bacteria of H.pylori O2 than the anti-HPO2G-2b IgG antibodies.There is no cross-reaction between both sera IgG antibodies with LPS and bacteria of H.pylori O1,O6,and E.coli.The results demonstrate the trisaccharide HPO2G-3a is a promising candidate for H.pylori vaccine development.

A novel layered perovskite tantalate phosphor Sr_(3)LaTa_(3)O_(12):Sm^(3+)(SLTO:Sm^(3+)) with orange-red emission was obtained for the first time via the solid-phase synthetic method. The phase purity, surface morphology,element distribution and luminescent properties of the SLTO:xSm^(3+)(x= 0.01 mol%-0.30 mol%) phosphors were investigated. Under 408 nm excitation, the optimum doped SLTO:0.10Sm^(3+) phosphor emits orangered light at 598 nm with the highest emission peak(4G_(5/2)→6H_(7/2)). The critical energy transfer distance is 1.687 nm. The prepared SLTO:0.10Sm^(3+)phosphor has excellent thermal stability with temperature quenching temperature(T_(0.5)> 500 K) and high activation energy(E_(a)= 0.25 e V). Through calculation, the chromaticity coordinates of all samples are concentrated in the orange-red area, and the color purity reaches 99%. The fabricated white light-emitting diode(w-LED) has a good correlated color temperature(5132 K), a high R_(a)(89), and the CIE chromaticity coordinates(0.340, 0.327). Consequently, the superiority of orange-red-emitting tantalate SLTO:Sm^(3+) phosphors for w-LEDs is demonstrated.

Epigenetic pathways play a critical role in the initiation, progression, and metastasis of cancer. Over the past few decades, significant progress has been made in the development of targeted epigenetic modulators(e.g., inhibitors). However, epigenetic inhibitors have faced multiple challenges,including limited clinical efficacy, toxicities, lack of subtype selectivity, and drug resistance. As a result,the design of new epigenetic modulators(e.g., degraders) such as PROTACs, molecular glue, and hydrophobic tagging(Hy T) degraders has garnered significant attention from both academia and pharmaceutical industry, and numerous epigenetic degraders have been discovered in the past decade. In this review,we aim to provide an in-depth illustration of new degrading strategies(2017-2023) targeting epigenetic proteins for cancer therapy, focusing on the rational design, pharmacodynamics, pharmacokinetics, clinical status, and crystal structure information of these degraders. Importantly, we also provide deep insights into the potential challenges and corresponding remedies of this approach to drug design and development. Overall, we hope this review will offer a better mechanistic understanding and serve as a useful guide for the development of emerging epigenetic-targeting degraders.

Cancer immunotherapy,exemplified by the remarkable clinical benefits of the immune checkpoint blockade and chimeric antigen receptor T-cell therapy,is revolutionizing cancer therapy.They induce long-term tumor regression and overall survival benefit in many types of cancer.With the advances in our knowledge about the tumor immune microenvironment,remarkable progress has been made in the development of small-molecule drugs for immunotherapy.Small molecules targeting PRR-associated pathways,immune checkpoints,oncogenic signaling,metabolic pathways,cytokine/chemokine signaling,and immune-related kinases have been extensively investigated.Monotherapy of smallmolecule immunotherapeutic drugs and their combinations with other antitumor modalities are under active clinical investigations to overcome immune tolerance and circumvent immune checkpoint inhibitor resistance.Here,we review the latest development of small-molecule agents for cancer immunotherapy by targeting defined pathways and highlighting their progress in recent clinical investigations.

2008年以来,世界各国深受全球金融危机、大国博弈、新冠疫情以及地缘冲突的影响,国际环境非常复杂。但即便如此,中国依然保持相对快速的增长势头。据世界银行研究报告显示,2013~2021年间中国对世界经济增长贡献了38.6%,年均增长率为6.6%,这一数字远高于2.6%的同期世界平均增速,也高于3.7%的发展中经济体平均增速。但与此同时,认为中国经济发展前景堪忧、全球供应链中断风险攀升、构建双循环新发展格局举步维艰的言论仍不在少数。特别是自2022年美国开启强有力的加息缩表周期,并多途径向各国转嫁风险以后,中国经济回升向好的压力递增,面临有效需求不足、风险隐患较多、外部环境不确定性上升等挑战。基于此,文章试图从全球经济周期变动中寻找发展规律,结合美国货币政策调整对世界经济的影响分析,识别中国下一轮发展所面临的机遇与挑战,进而提出应对建议,为2035年中国初步实现现代化强国目标提供思路借鉴。

探索和开发高效且低成本的析氢反应(HER)和析氧反应(OER)电催化剂,对于解决能源危机和环境污染至关重要但仍具有挑战性。本文在三维的泡沫镍基底上设计并制备了一种由超薄的氧化铈和磷化钴纳米片组成的自支撑电极(CeO_(2)-CoP/NF)。当电流密度为10 mA·cm^(-2)时,CeO_(2)-CoP/NF在1 mol/L KOH和0.5 mol/L H_(2)SO_(4)中的析氢过电位分别为124 mV和142 mV;CeO_(2)-CoP/NF也能呈现优越的OER活性,电流密度为100 mA·cm^(-2)时,在1 mol/L KOH中呈现的析氧过电位为328 mV,并且具有更优越的循环稳定性。实验结果表明:CeO_(2)的引入能够减少电解液的侵蚀和提升CoP材料的电解水催化性能。这项工作为高性能的水裂解电催化剂的发展提供了新的见解。
