Dual Frequency Transformer for Efficient SDR-to-HDR Translation

The SDR-to-HDR translation technique can convert the abundant standard-dynamic-range (SDR) media resources to high-dynamic-range (HDR) ones, which can represent high-contrast scenes, providing more realistic visual experiences. While recent vision Transformers have achieved promising performance in many low-level vision tasks, there are few works attempting to leverage Transformers for SDR-to-HDR translation. In this paper, we are among the first to investigate the performance of Transformers for SDR-to-HDR translation. We find that directly using the self-attention mechanism may involve artifacts in the results due to the inappropriate way to model long-range dependencies between the low-frequency and high-frequency components. Taking this into account, we advance the self-attention mechanism and present a dual frequency attention (DFA), which leverages the self-attention mechanism to separately encode the low-frequency structural information and high-frequency detail information. Based on the proposed DFA, we further design a multi-scale feature fusion network, named dual frequency Transformer (DFT), for efficient SDR-to-HDR translation. Extensive experiments on the HDRTV1K dataset demonstrate that our DFT can achieve better quantitative and qualitative performance than the recent state-of-the-art methods. Evolution of High-energy Electron Distribution in Pulsar Wind Nebulae

In this paper,we analyze the spectral energy distributions of 17 powerful(with a spin-down luminosity greater than10~(35)erg s~(-1))young(with an age less than 15,000 yr)pulsar wind nebulae(PWNe)using a simple timein-dependent one-zone emission *** aim is to investigate correlations between model parameters and the ages of the corresponding PWNe,thereby revealing the evolution of high-energy electron distributions within *** findings are as follows:(1)The electron distributions in PWNe can be characterized by a double power-law with a super-exponential cutoff.(2)As PWNe evolve,the high-energy end of the electron distribution spectrum becomes harder with the index decreasing from approximately 3.5 to 2.5,while the low-energy end spectrum index remains constant near 1.5.(3)There is no apparent correlation between the break energy or cutoff energy and the age of PWNe.(4)The average magnetic field within PWNe decreases with age,leading to a positive correlation between the energy loss timescale of electrons at the break energy or the high-energy cutoff and the age of the PWN.(5)The total electron energy within PWNe remains constant near 2×10~(48)erg,while the total magnetic energy decreases with age.

Practical approach for detecting k-nonseparability of multipartite quantum states

The instantaneous detection of entanglement in quantum states poses a significant challenge in the fields of quantum computation and quantum information, and there are no practical methods or tools to complete this task satisfactorily so far. We propose a sufficient and necessary criterion of k-nonseparability for any n-partite finite or infinite dimensional systems, 2≤k≤n. This criterion serves as the foundation for a practical scheme designed to detect entanglement and k-nonseparability across multipartite finite-dimensional systems. To exemplify the application of our scheme, we have developed a software tool that facilitates swift and precise identification of entanglement, k-nonseparability, and genuine entanglement within n-qubit systems, specifically tailored for systems with 2≤n≤4.

The effects of hydrogen charging time and pressure on the hydrogen embrittlement(HE)susceptibility of X52 pipeline steel material are studied by slow strain rate tensile *** fracture morphologies of the specimens are observed by scanning electron *** HE susceptibility of the X52 pipeline steel material increases with an increase in both hydrogen charging time and hydrogen *** a charging time of 96 h,the HE susceptibility index reaches 45.86%,approximately 3.6 times that at a charging time of 0 ***,a charging pressure of 4 MPa results in a HE susceptibility index of 31.61%,approximately 2.5 times higher than that at a charging pressure of 0.3 MPa.

Carbon nanotube(CNT)fibers have great promise for constructing multifunctional fabrics with high electrical conductivity,good electro-heating ability,excellent flexibility,and a low ***,the inter-fiber contacts in the fabric greatly reduce these advantages and limit their ***,a simple pressure-fusing method to fabricate single-wall CNT(SWCNT)fiber non-woven fabrics(NWFs)that are composed of interconnected SWCNT fibers with fused joints is reported,which have good flexibility,a low density of 0.46 g/cm^(3),a high electrical conductivity of 3.7×10^(5)S/m,and a record high specific electrical conductivity of 803(S·m^(2))/*** also showed excellent electrical heating ability,so that a temperature of~160℃was rapidly reached at a low voltage of 2 *** with their low density,the SWCNT fiber NWFs are promising for use as a heating unit for low temperature battery protection and de-icing applications.

Single wall carbon nanotube(SWCNT)/Si heterojunction photodetectors have the advantages of high photoresponse ability and simple structure,however,their detection wavelength range are usually lower than 1100 nm,which limits their application in the infrared *** report a SWCNT/Cu/Si photodetector with both a high photoresponse and a detection range up to the infrared band by depositing a Cu nanoparticles(NPs)layer between a SWCNT film and a n-Si *** was found that the Cu NPs produce strong surface plasmon resonance(SPR)under laser irradiation,which breaks through the limitation of Si band gap and greatly improves the photoresponse of the SWCNT/Cu/Si photodetector in the near infrared *** responsivity(R)of the photodetector in the wavelength range of 1850–1200 nm reached 2.2–14.15 mA/W,which is the highest value in the reported plasmon enhanced n-Si based photodetectors,and about 20,000 times higher than that of a SWCNT/Si *** R value for 1550 nm wavelength used in optical communications reached~8.2 mA/W,which is 64%higher than the previously reported values of commonly used *** attribute the significant increase to the strong SPR and low Schottky barrier of Cu with n-Si,which facilitates the generation and transfer of the carriers.

Verifying hierarchical network nonlocality in general quantum networks

Recently, a class of innovative notions on quantum network nonlocality(QNN), called full quantum network nonlocality(FQNN), have been proposed in Phys. Rev. Lett. 128 010403(2022). As the generalization of full network nonlocality(FNN), l-level quantum network nonlocality(l-QNN) was defined in arxiv. 2306.15717 quant-ph(2024). FQNN is a NN that can be generated only from a network with all sources being non-classical. This is beyond the existing standard network nonlocality, which may be generated from a network with only a non-classical source. One of the challenging tasks is to establish corresponding Bell-like inequalities to demonstrate the FQNN or l-QNN. Up to now, the inequality criteria for FQNN and l-QNN have only been established for star and chain networks. In this paper, we devote ourselves to establishing Bell-like inequalities for networks with more complex structures. Note that star and chain networks are special kinds of tree-shaped networks. We first establish the Bell-like inequalities for verifying l-QNN in k-forked tree-shaped networks. Such results generalize the existing inequalities for star and chain networks. Furthermore, we find the Bell-like inequality criteria for l-QNN for general acyclic and cyclic networks. Finally, we discuss the demonstration of l-QNN in the well-known butterfly networks.

Zeolitic Imidazolate Framework-8(ZIF-8)material was prepared by chemical precipitation *** microstructure and physical properties of the as-prepared samples were characterized by XRD,BET,FESEM and UV *** self-made four-channel measurement device was used to test the gas sensitivity of ZIF-8 material toward ethanol gas under photo-thermal synergistic *** results showed that the sample was typical ZIF-8(E_(g)=4.96 eV)with a regular dodecahedron shape and the specific surface is up to 1793 m^(2)/*** as-prepared ZIF-8 has a gas response value of 55.04 to 100 ppm ethanol at 75℃ and it shows good gas sensing selectivity and repeated *** excellent gas sensitivity can be attributed to the increase of free electron concentration in the ZIF-8 conduction band by photo-thermal synergistic excitation,and the large specific surface area of ZIF-8 material provides more active sites for gas-solid surface *** reaction mechanism of ZIF-8 material under multi-field excitation was also discussed.
