The exploitation of new green polymerization avenues for the effective synthesis of polymers by reversible-deactivation radical polymerization plays a critical role in pursuing the development of polymeric *** this work,serials of deep eutectic solvents(deS)with intermolecular-hydrogen-bonding interaction were constructed as catalysts and medium for actuating reversible complexation-mediated polymerization(RCMP)for the first time,yielding methacrylate polymers with high monomer conversion and narrow dispersion molecular weight in both water and oil *** mechanism and elementary reaction of RCMP were explored deeply,revealing that the complexation of initiator with deS to generate radicals was a ratecontrolling step and intermolecular-hydrogen-bond was primary factor to influence polymerization ***,the insights of density functional theory calculations revealed that negative electrostatic potential ensured nucleophilic *** investigation demonstrated the considerable potential of deS for RCMP,which is anticipated for other polymerization applications as a novel medium mode.

In this study,zircon U-Pb dating of volcanic rocks from the Zhongba ophiolite of the Yarlung Zangbo Suture Zone(YZSZ)in southern xizang(Tibet)yielded an age of 247±3 *** to whole rock geochemical and Sr-NdPb isotopic data,the Early Triassic samples could be divided into two groups:Group 1 with P-MORB affinity,showing initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios of 0.70253–0.70602,ε_(Nd)(t)values of 4.2–5.3,(^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 16.353–18.222,(^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 15.454–15.564,and(^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 35.665–38.136;Group 2 with OIB affinity,showing initial^(87)Sr/^(86)Sr ratios of 0.70249–0.70513,ε_(Nd)(t)values of 4.4–4.9,(^(206)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 17.140–18.328,(^(207)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 15.491–15.575,and(^(208)Pb/^(204)Pb)_(t)ratios of 36.051–*** 2 rocks formed by partial melting of the mantle source enriched by a former plume,and assimilated continental crustal material during melt *** formation of Group 1 rocks corresponds to the mixing of OIB melts,with the same components as Group 2 and *** Zhongba Early Triassic rocks belong to the continental margin type ophiolite and formed in the continental–oceanic transition zone during the initial opening of the Neo-Tethys in southern xizang(Tibet).

Tuning Strong Metal-support Interactions(SMSI)is a key strategy to obtain highly active catalysts,but conventional methods usually enable TiO_(x) encapsulation of noble metal components to minimize the exposure of noble *** study demonstrates a catalyst preparation method to modulate a weak encapsulation of Pt metal nanoparticles(NPs)with the supported TiO_(2),achieving the moderate suppression of SMSI *** introduction of silica inhibits this encapsulation,as reflected in the characterization results such as XPS and HRTEM,while the Ti^(4+) to Ti^(3+) conversion due to SMSI can still be found on the support ***,the hydrogenation of cinnamaldehyde(CAL)as a probe reaction revealed that once this encapsulation behavior was suppressed,the adsorption capacity of the catalyst for small molecules like H_(2) and CO was enhanced,which thereby improved the catalytic activity and facilitated the hydrogenation of ***,the introduction of SiO_(2) also changed the surface structure of the catalyst,which inhibited the occurrence of the acetal reaction and improved the conversion efficiency of C=O and C=C *** manipulation of SMSI formation and its consequence on the performance in catalytic hydrogenation reactions are discussed.

Optical temperature sensing based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)of red emission for lanthanide ions holds significant relevance in non-contact temperature measurement for biological *** this study,the perovskite-structured KZnF_(3)is utilized as a host material for Er^(3+)to achieve a high-purity upconversion(UC)red *** observed Stark splitting of the red emission peak provides evidence of the energy level splitting of Er^(3+).Group theory is employed to decompose the spectral branching of Er^(3+)under the point group symmetry of KZnF_(3),allowing for the derivation of Stark splitting energy levels induced by the crystal field *** optical temperature-sensing behavior of the red UC luminescence was investigated,specifically examining the FIR of the splitting sub-peaks,which exhibited an exponential relationship with *** KZnF_(3):Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)demonstrated a relative sensitivity(S_(r))of 0.00182%·K^(-1)at 298 K,highlighting its excellent response to *** vivo bio-thermometry experiments conducted on chicken breast validated the material's ability to penetrate biological tissues and showed its significant sensitivity of the FIR to *** results establish KZnF_(3):Yb^(3+),Er^(3+)as a promising material for optical thermometry in various biological applications.

Surface acoustic wave(SAW)gas sensors based on the acoustoelectric effect exhibit wide application prospects for in situ gas ***,establishing accurate models for calculating the scattering parameters of SAW gas sensors remains a ***,we present a coupling of modes(COM)model that includes the acoustoelectric effect and specifically explains the nonmonotonic variation in the center frequency with respect to the sensing film’s sheet *** sensing parameters of the gas sensors,including the center frequency,insertion loss,and phase,were experimentally compared for accuracy and ***,the frequency of the phase extremum(FPE)shift was determined to vary monotonically,and the range of selectable test points was wide,making the FPE an appropriate response parameter for leveraging in SAW gas *** simulation results of the COM model were highly consistent with the experimental *** study is proposed to provide theoretical guidance for the future development of gas SAW sensors.

While nickel(II)complexes have been widely used as catalysts for carbon-carbon coupling reactions,the exploration of their photophysical and photochemical properties is still in the ***,a series of square-planar Ni(II)complexes[(diNHC)NiX2]bearing chelating benzimidazole-based bis(N-heterocyclic carbene)ligands and varying anionic coligands(1,X=Cl;2,X=Br;3,X=I)are synthesized and structurally *** solid state,both 1 and 2 exhibit orange-red photoluminescence under ambient *** photophysical and electrochemical measurements along with density functional theory(DFT)calculations reveal that the low-energy emissions can be attributed to singlet excited states with ligand-to-ligand charge-transfer(LLCT)*** work suggests that strong-field N-heterocyclic carbene ligands play a crucial role to achieve the luminescence of Ni(II)complexes.

Inactive elemental doping is commonly used to improve the structural stability of high-voltage layered transition-metal oxide ***,the one-step co-doping strategy usually results in small grain size since the low diffusivity ions such as Ti^(4+)will be concentrated on grain boundaries,which hinders the grain *** order to synthesize large single-crystal layered oxide cathodes,considering the different diffusivities of different dopant ions,we propose a simple two-step multi-element co-doping strategy to fabricate core–shell structured LiCoO_(2)(CS-LCO).In the current work,the high-diffusivity Al^(3+)/Mg^(2+)ions occupy the core of single-crystal grain while the low diffusivity Ti^(4+)ions enrich the shell *** Ti^(4+)-enriched shell layer(~12 nm)with Co/Ti substitution and stronger Ti–O bond gives rise to less oxygen ligand ***-situ XRD demonstrates the constrained contraction of c-axis lattice parameter and mitigated structural *** a high upper cut-off voltage of 4.6 V,the single-crystal CS-LCO maintains a reversible capacity of 159.8 mAh g^(−1)with a good retention of~89%after 300 cycles,and reaches a high specific capacity of 163.8 mAh g^(−1)at *** proposed strategy can be extended to other pairs of low-(Zr^(4+),Ta^(5+),and W6+,etc.)and high-diffusivity cations(Zn^(2+),Ni^(2+),and Fe^(3+),etc.)for rational design of advanced layered oxide core–shell structured cathodes for lithium-ion batteries.
