In presence of difficult conditions in coal mining roadways, an adequate stabilization of the excavation boundary is required to ensure a safe progress of the construction. The stabilization of the roadways can be improved by fully grouted rock bolt, offering properties optimal to the purpose and versatility in use. Investigations of load transfer between the bolt and grout indicate that the bolt profile shape and spacing play an important role in improving the shear strength between the bolt and the surrounding strata. This study proposes a new analytical solution for calculation displacement and shear stress in a fully encapsulated rock bolt in jointed rocks. The main characteristics of the analytical solution consider the bolt profile and jump plane under pull test conditions. The performance of the proposed analytical solution, for three types of different bolt profile configurations, is validated by ANSYS software. The results show there is a good agreement between analytical and numerical methods. Studies indicate that the rate of displacement and shear stress from the bolt to the rock exponentially decayed. This exponential reduction in displacement and shear stress are dependent on the bolt characteristics such as: rib height, rib spacing, rib width and grout thickness, material and joint properties.

Objective:To investigate the effect of hydro-ethanolic extract of Zataria multiflora(***)on endothelin level,total and differential white blood cells(WBC)count of sensitized guinea ***:Five groups of guinea pigs sensitized to ovalbumin(OA)were given drinking water alone(group S),drinking water containing three concentrations of ***(0.2,0.4 and 0.8 mg/mL as groups S+Z1,S+Z2 and S+Z3)and dexamethasone(group S+D),n=6 for each *** endothelin levels as well as total and differential WBC count in blood of sensitized and control guinea pigs were evaluated using enzyme linked immunosorbent assay method,and hemocytometer and Wright-Giemsa’s staining of blood sample smear ***:Blood endothelin levels,total and most differential WBC count were increased but lymphocytes decreased in sensitized animals compared to controls(all P<0.01).In groups S+D,S+Z2 and S+Z3 endothelin level,total and differential WBC counts were significantly improved compared with group S(P<0.01).Although,all measured parameters in group S+Z1 was lower than group S+D(P<0.01),some parameters in group S+Z3 were greater than in group S+D(P<0.05 to P<0.01).Conclusion:The results showed an anti-inflammatory effect of *** extract in sensitized guinea pigs,which may suggest a therapeutic potential for the plant on asthma.

One of the challenges of Informationcentric Networking(ICN)is finding the optimal location for caching content and processing users’*** this paper,we address this challenge by leveraging Software-defined Networking(SDN)for efficient ICN *** achieve this,we formulate the problem as a mixed-integer nonlinear programming(MINLP)model,incorporating caching,routing,and load balancing *** explore two distinct scenarios to tackle the ***,we solve the problem in an offline mode using the GAMS environment,assuming a stable network state to demonstrate the superior performance of the cacheenabled network compared to non-cache ***,we investigate the problem in an online mode where the network state dynamically changes over *** the computational complexity associated with MINLP,we propose the software-defined caching,routing,and load balancing(SDCRL)algorithm as an efficient and scalable *** evaluation demonstrates that the SDCRL algorithm significantly reduces computational time while maintaining results that closely resemble those achieved by GAMS.

Based on Iran's sixth development plan,the country's oil and gas industry requires an investment of about$200 bn in the next five years to increase *** Iranian government,to attract and motivate international oil company investment in their oil and gas fields,has presented a new type of risk service contract:the Iranian Petroleum Contract(IPC).This paper summarizes the features of the IPC and presents mathematical models of its fiscal regime for the benefit and guidance of both the National Iranian Oil Company(NIOC)and the ***,adopting bargaining game theory provides a mathematical model for reaching a win-win situation between the NIOC and the ***,a numerical example is given and a sensitivity analysis performed to illustrate the implementation of the proposed *** contractor and the NIOC may use these models when preparing their proposal and in the course of actual negotiations to calculate their internal rate of return,remuneration fee,and net present value for developing the fields at different conditions of their bargaining power,and derive a logical bargain to protect their best possible interests.

A new modified carbon paste electrode based on cyclam as a modifier was prepared for the determination of Co(Ⅱ) ions. The proposed electrode shows a Nernstian slope 28.4 mV per decade over a wide concentration range 5.0×10 -6_1.0×10 -1 mol/L of Co 2+ ions with detection limit 2.5×10 -6 mol/L. The sensor exhibits good selectivities for Co 2+ over a wide variety of other cations. It can be used as an indicator electrode in potentiometric titration of cobalt(Ⅱ) ions as well as in direct determination of cobalt(Ⅱ) ions in wastewater of acidic cobalt electroplating bath. The electrode shows Nernestian behavior in a solution of 25% ethanol.

Application of artificial neural network for calculating anisotropic friction angle of sands and effect on slope stability

The anisotropy effect is one of the most prominent phenomena in soil mechanics. Although many experimental programs have investigated anisotropy in sand, a computational procedure for determining anisotropy is lacking. Thus, this work aims to develop a procedure for connecting the sand friction angle and the loading orientation. All principal stress rotation tests in the literatures were processed via an artificial neural network. Then, with sensitivity analysis, the effect of intrinsic soil properties,consolidation history, and test sample characteristics on enhancing anisotropy was examined. The results imply that decreasing the grain size of the soil increases the effect of anisotropy on soil shear strength. In addition, increasing the angularity of grains increases the anisotropy effect in the sample. The stability of a sandy slope was also examined by considering the anisotropy in shear strength parameters. If the anisotropy effect is neglected, slope safety is overestimated by 5%-25%. This deviation is more apparent in flatter slopes than in steeper ones. However, the critical slip surface in the most slopes is the same in isotropic and anisotropic conditions.

In a comprehensive geochemical study,the genetic relationships among 14 samples of gas condensates from the Persian Gulf were investigated for the purpose of evaluating the respective source rocks in terms of both age and sedimentary *** analysis was used for categorization and determination of a certitude range to determine the genetic type of the condensate families in the studied *** samples were collected from Late Permian-Triassic reservoirs(Dalan and Kangan formations)located in 6 gasfields(gas condensate)hosting some of Iran’s most important gas/gas condensate *** by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry(GC-MS),a total of 16 biomarker parameters(10 maturity-related parameters and 6 sedimentary environment-related parameters)were used to evaluate the samples in terms of thermal maturity(and hence their positions in the maturity chart),the sedimentary environment of the source rock and the *** of Hierarchical Clustering Analysis(HCA)and Principal Component Analysis(PCA)to the collected data led to the categorization of the samples into three main genetic groups,Ⅰ-Ⅲ.GroupsⅠandⅢwere found to be located in the east and the west of the Persian Gulf,respectively,while GroupⅡwas developed between the two other groups.

Numerical investigation of gas bubble behavior in tapered fluidized beds

In this article, the behavior of gas bubbles in tapered fluidized beds is investigated with the use of a two- fluid model incorporating kinetic theory of granular flow. The effects of various parameters such as apex angle, particle size, and particle density on the size distribution and the rise velocity of gas bubbles were examined. In addition, the simulation results for the bubble fraction and axial velocity of gas bubbles were compared with experimental data reported in the literature and good agreement was observed. As the apex angle was increased, the fraction of gas bubbles with large sizes increased and the fraction of bubbles with small sizes decreased. As the particle size increased, the fraction of gas bubbles with large diameters decreased; however, the fraction of bubbles with medium diameters increased. The obtained results clearly indicate that an increased solid density increased the bubble rise velocity up to a specified height and reduced the velocity at larger heights, in tapered fluidized beds.

A series of mesoporous nanocrystalline silicoaluminophosphate (SAPO)zeolites (SAPO-34)were synthesized via an ultrasonic and microwave-assisted hydrothermal method in the presence of [3- (trimethoxysilyl)propyl]octadecyldimethylammonium chloride and cetyltrimethylammonium bromide surfactants as soft *** and cerium were then doped on SAPO-34using incorporation and impregnation methods,and all the catalysts were applied to the methanol-to-olefin (MTO)reaction. The catalysts were characterized using X-ray diffraction,field-emission scanning electron microcopy, inductively coupled plasma-atomic emission spectroscopy,transmission electron microscopy,Fourier- transform infrared spectroscopy,Brunauer-Emmett-Teller analysis,NH3temperature-programmed desorption analysis,and thermogravimetric *** the impregnation method,the effect of using protic or aprotic solvents as impregnation media on the physico-chemical properties of the metal-based SAPO-34was *** and N,N-dimethylformamide (DMF)were employed as the protic and aprotic solvents,*** catalyst prepared using the aprotic DMF solvent exhibited higher dispersion and lower aggregation of metal species compared with that prepared using the protic water ***,the sample synthesized using the incorporation method exhibited good catalytic performance;however,the Ni-Ce[SAPO-34 sample prepared using the impregnation method and aprotic DMF solvent exhibited superior catalytic performance in the MTO reaction.

Streamline simulation is developed to simulate waterflooding in fractured reservoirs. Conventional reservoir simulation methods for fluid flow simulation in large and complex reservoirs are very costly and time consuming. In streamline method, transport equations are solved on one-dimensional streamlines to reduce the computation time with less memory for simulation. First, pressure equation is solved on an Eulerian grid and streamlines are traced. Defining the "time of flight", saturation equations are mapped and solved on streamlines. Finally, the results are mapped back on Eulerian grid and the process is repeated until the simulation end time. The waterflooding process is considered in a fractured reservoir using the dual porosity model. Afterwards, a computational code is developed to solve the same problem by the IMPES method and the results of streamline simulation are compared to those of the IMPES and a commercial software. Finally, the accuracy and efficiency of streamline simulator for simulation of two-phase flow in fractured reservoirs has been proved.
