Genetic Variability and Phenotypic Correlations study among Grain Quality Traits and Mineral elements Concentrations in Colored and Non-Colored Rice (Oryza sativa L.)

Twenty-four rice genotypes were examined to assess genetic variability,heritability,and correlations for seven-grain quality traits,eight nutritional elements,and *** revealed signiﬁcant differences for the quality traits *** every trait under study,the phenotypic coefﬁcient of variation was higher than the correspon-dence genotypic coefﬁcient of *** in a broad sense varied from 29.75%for grain length to 98.31%for the elongation *** percentage recovery had a highly signiﬁcant positive correlation with milling and head rice ***,milling percentage had a highly positive correlation with head rice *** amylose percentage,all the genotypes belonged to low amylose except the Hassawi-1 variety,which had intermediate amylose *** nutrition contents of magnesium(Mg),sodium(Na),potas-sium(K),calcium(Ca),copper(Cu),manganese(Mn),zinc(Zn),iron(Fe),or protein percentage gave different variations for 24 rice genotypes under all the nutritional *** the 24 genotypes,ten rice genotypes–HighNutrient-1,HighNutrient-2,HighNutrient-9,HighNutrient-8,HighNutrient-3,Hassawi-2,HighNutrient-7,HighNutrient-6,Hassawi-1,and HighNutrient-4–had the highest heist value for all nutritional and protein con-tents,and could be used as a donor to improving new *** was a positive and signiﬁcant correlation between magnesium Mg,K,Zn and ***,K had a positive correlation with zinc Zn,Fe,and protein *** analysis was divided into two groups:theﬁrst group included all genotypes rich in nutri-ents,while the remaining genotypes with low nutritional content were included in the second group.

Monogenic lines,which carried 23 genes for blast resistance were tested and used donors to transfer resistance genes by crossing *** results under blast nursery revealed that 9 genes from 23 genes were susceptible to highly susceptible under the three locations(sakha,Gemmeza,and Zarzoura in Egypt);Pia,Pik,Pik-p,Piz-t,Pita,Pi b,Pi,Pi 19 and Pi ***,the genes Pii,Pik-s,Pik-h,Pi z,Piz-5,Pi sh,Pi 3,Pi 1,Pi 5,Pi 7,Pi 9,Pi 12,Pikm and Pita-2 were highly resistant at the same *** analysis confirmed the results,which divided into two groups;the first one included all the susceptible genes,while the second one included the resistance *** the greenhouse test,the reaction pattern of five races produced 100%resistance under artificial inoculation with eight genes showing complete resistance to all *** completely resistant genes:Pii,Pik-s,Piz,Piz-5(=bi2)(t),Pita(=Pi4)(t),Pita,Pi b and Pi1 as well as clustering analysis confirmed the *** the F1 crosses,the results showed all the 25 crosses were resistant for leaf blast disease under field ***,the results in F2 population showed seven crosses with segregation ratio of 15(R):1(s),two cross gave segregated ratio of 3 R:1 s and one gave 13:*** the identification of blast resistance genes in the parental lines,the marker K3959,linked to Pik-s gene and the variety IRBLKs-F5 carry this gene,which was from the monogenic *** results showed that four genotypes;sakha 105,sakha 103,sakha 106 and IRBLKs-F5 were carrying Pik-s gene,while was absent in the sakha 101,sakha 104,IRBL5-M,IRBL9-W,IRBLTACP1 and IRBL9-W(R)*** for Pi 5 gene,the results showed that it was present in sakha 103 and sakha 104 varieties and absent in the rest of the *** addition,Pita-Pita-2 gene was found in the three Egyptian genotypes(sakha 105,sakha 101 and sakha 104)plus IRBLTACP1 *** F2 generation,six populations were used to study the inheritance of blast resistance and s

Rice(Oryza sativa L.)is one of the most important cereal crops in the *** disease is a significant rice disease widely distributed in rice-growing regions ***,the present investigation aimed to assess the optimal concentrations of paclobutrazol(PBZ)as a treatment for rice grains(*** 108)to control bakanae disease,also evaluating its impact on grain germination,seedling growth parameters as well as disease *** concentrations had no significant impact on seed germination,regardless of whether the seeds were incubated with Fusarium fujikuroi or *** of PBZ,either alone or in combination with fungal pathogens,negatively impacted the rice seedlings’*** at 25,50 and 100 mg/L,combined with the fungal pathogen positively impacted root *** at 3 and 6 mg/L mitigated the adverse impact on chlorophyll pigments content in infected *** highest proline contents were achieved by 100 mg/L PBZ alone or in combination with fungal *** has been observed that the application of PBZ,either alone or in combination with a fungal pathogen,leads to the enhancement of catalase,peroxidase,and polyphenol oxidase *** median lethal concentration of PBZ was 0.874 mg/L;applying low concentrations of paclobutrazol effectively increased the percentage of fungal growth *** of PBZ,at higher concentrations(50 and 100 mg/L),decreased infection percentage and disease severity index(DsI)*** findings suggest that PBZ can be an effective treatment for controlling bakanae disease and enhancing resistance in rice plants.

Biochemical changes in grape rootstocks resulted from humic acid treatments in relation to nematode infection

Objective:To investigate the effect of humic acid on nematode infected,resistant and susceptible grapes in relation to lipid peroxidation and antioxidant mechanisms on selected biochemical parameters known as proactive ***:The grape rootstocks,superior,superior/ freedom and freedom were reacted differently to Meloidogyne incognita and Rotylenchulus reniformis according to rootstock *** weeks after inoculation,two commercial products of humic acid were applied at the rate of(2,4 mL or grams/plant) as soil *** 4 months,nematode soil populations were extracted and counted.A subsample of roots from each plant was stained and gall numbers,embedded stages per root were calculated,final population, nematode build up(Pf/Pi),average of eggs/eggmass were *** of fresh root of each treatment were chemically ***:Freedom reduced significantly the nematode criteria and build *** acid granules appeared to be more suppressive to nematode build up on superior and the higher dose on superior/freedom than liquid *** freedom,all treatments reduced significantly the nematode build up regardless to the material *** higher dose was more effective than the lower *** a result of humic acid applications,the malondialdehyde(MDA) and H_2O_2 contents were significandy reduced after humic acid treatments while the antioxidant compounds glutathione(GsH),ascorbic acid(AsA) and total phenol contents were significandy increased when compared with *** defense enzymes ascorbate peroxidase(AFX),superoxide dismutase(sOD),catalase(CAT) and polyphenol oxidase(PPO) showed significant increase in their specific activities in treated plants compared with nematode treated ***:Humic acid treatments improve we yield of grape by increasing the contents of antioxidant compounds and the specific activities of antioxidant enzymes.

Acaricidal activity of different extracts from syzygium cumini ***(Pomposia) against Tetranychus urticae Koch

Effect of lead acetate toxicity on experimental male albino rat

Objective:To evaluate the effect of different doses of lead acetate(1/20,1/40 and 1/60 of LD_(50))on body weight gain,blood picture,plasma prolein profile and the function of liver,kidney and thyroid ***:Male albino rats were divided into four groups,the first group represented the health control animals,while the second,third and fourth groups were ingested orally with sub lethal doses of load acetate(1/20,1/40 and 1/60)of the oral LD_(50),*** dose was ingested every two days during the experimental period(14 weeks)including the adaptation *** was collected and used for all ***:The results showed that,the ingestion of Pb^(2+)induced significant stimulation in glutamic-pyruvic transaminase(ALT)and glutamic-oxalacetic transaminease(AsT)***,total soluble protein and albumin contents of plasma were significantly decreased,while the content of globulin was changed by the Pb^(2+)*** cholinesteiase activity was inhibited,but the activities of alkaline and acid phosphates and lactate dehydrogenase were stimulated,while plasma glucose level was.elevated as a result of lead acetate *** case of blood picture,Pb^(2+)ingestion reduced the contents of hemoglobin and RBCs count of intoxicated rat's blood and the plasma levels of T3,T4 and blood WBCs count were ***:It can be concluded that lead acetate has harmful effect on experimental male albino ***,the present work advises people to prevent exposure to the lead compound to avoid injurious hazard risk.

Objective:To investigate the changes in total phenols,flavonoids,tannins,vitamin E, β-carotene and antioxidant activity during soaking of three white sorghum ***: The changes in total phenols,total ilavonoids,tannins,phenolic acids compounds,flavonoid components,vitamin E,P-carotene and antioxidant activity during soaking of sorghum grains were ***:Total phenols,total flavonoids,tannins,vitamin E,P-carotene and antioxidant activity in raw sorghum were ranged from 109.21 to 116.70,45.91 to 54.69,1.39 to 21.79 mg/100 g,1.74 to 5.25,0.54 to 1.19 mg/kg and 21.72%to 27.69%and 25.29%to 31.97%,respectively. The above measured compounds were significantly decreased after soaking.p-Hydroxybenzoic acid,vanillic acid,syringic acid and cinnamic acid represent the major phenolic acids in Dorado *** ferulic acid,p-coumaric acid,gallic acid and caffeic acid represent the major phenolic acids in *** the other hand,protocatechuic acid represents the major phenolic acids in *** flavonoids components,Dorado was the highest variety in kampferol and naringenin while shandaweel-6 was the highest variety in luteolin, apigenin,hypersoid,quercelin and ***,Giza-15 was the highest variety in catechin. Phenolic acids,flavonoid compounds and antioxidant activities were decreased after soaking. Conclusions:sorghum varieties have moderate quantities from total phenols,total flavonoids, tannins,phenolic acids compounds,flavonoid components,vitamin E,P-carotene and antioxidant activity which decreased after soaking.

An investigation is made of the magnetic Rayleigh problem where a semi_infinite plate is given an impulsive motion and thereafter moves with constant velocity in a non_Newtonian power law fluid of infinite extent. The solution of this highly non_linear problem is obtained by means of the transformation group theoretic approach. The one_parameter group transformation reduces the number of independent variables by one and the governing partial differential equation with the boundary conditions reduce to an ordinary differential equation with the appropriate boundary conditions. Effect of the some parameters on the velocity u(y,t) has been studied and the results are plotted.

The fractional coupled KdV equations: Exact solutions and white noise functional approach

Variable coefficients and Wick-type stochastic fractional coupled KdV equations are investigated. By using the mod- ified fractional sub-equation method, Hermite transform, and white noise theory the exact travelling wave solutions and white noise functional solutions are obtained, including the generalized exponential, hyperbolic, and trigonometric types.
