The development of electric and hybrid automobiles has gained momentum with the growth of interest in the field of miniaturization of electrode materials. In particular, technologies that improve the electrical property of stainless steel, while maintaining corrosion resistance, are gaining interest in terms of maintaining specific resistivity. The study on metal doping in diamond-like carbon coating is currently in progress to enhance the characteristics of conductivity and corrosion resistance with excellent properties such as corrosion resistance and lubrication coating. It is the process of using Cr arc with DLC coating to actuate AEGD. The change of I(D)/I(G) (Graphite peak (G) and disordered bond peak (D)) ratio and G-peak position in Cr-containing DLC film causes graphitization and thus lowers the basic electric resistance. Simultaneous input of nitrogen gas leads to deposition of CrN by a specific ratio of Cr and N in the DLC coating, and the nitrogen atoms replace hydrogen in bonding to increase the sp3 bond structure in the DLC film, in which CrN is not deposited, to result in specific resistivity of a specific value or less.

Proportion and clinical features of never-smokers with non-small cell lung cancer

Background: The proportion of never?smokers with non?small cell lung cancer(NSCLC) is increasing, but that in Korea has not been well addressed in a large population. We aimed to evaluate the proportion and clinical features of never?smokers with NSCLC in a large single ***: We analyzed clinical data of 1860 consecutive patients who were newly diagnosed with NSCLC between June 2011 and December ***: Of the 1860 NSCLC patients, 707(38.0%) were never?smokers. The proportions of women(83.7% vs. 5.6%) and adenocarcinoma(89.8% vs. 44.9%) were higher among never?smokers than among ever?smokers. Significantly more never?smokers were diagnosed at a younger median age(65 vs. 68 years, P < 0.001) and earlier stage(stage I–II, 44.5% vs. 38.9%, P < 0.001) a= 0.015) compared with ever?smokers. Epidermal growth factor receptor mutations(57.8% vs. 24.4%, Pnd anaplastic lymphoma kinase rearrangements(7.8% vs. 2.8%, P < 0.001) were more common in never?smokers, whereas Kirsten rat sarcoma viral oncogene homolog mutations(5.8% vs. 9.6%, P ntly encountered in never?smokers than in ever?smokers. Never?smokers showed longer su= 0.021) were less frequervival after adjust?ing for the favorable effects of younger age, female sex, adenocarcinoma histology, better performance status, early stage disease, being asymptomatic at diagnosis, received antitumor treatment, and the presence of driver mutations(hazard ratio, 0.624; 95% confidence interval, 0.460–0.848; P = 0.003).Conclusions: More than one?third of the Korean patients with NSCLC were never?smokers. NSCLC in never?smokers had different clinical characteristics and major driver mutations and resulted in longer overall survival compared with NSCLC in ever?smokers.

In this study,we developed a simple screening procedure for the determination of 18 anthelmintics(including benzimidazoles,macrocyclic lactones,salicylanilides,substituted phenols,tetrahydropyrimidines,and imidazothiazoles)in five animal-derived food matrices(chicken muscle,pork,beef,milk,and egg)using liquid chromatography-tandem mass *** were extracted using acetonitrile/1% acetic acid(milk and egg)and acetonitrile/1% acetic acid with 0.5 mL of distilled water(chicken muscle,pork,and beef),and purified using saturated n-hexane/acetonitrile.A reversed-phase analytical column and a mobile phase consisting of(A)10 mM ammonium formate in distilled water and(B)methanol were used to achieve optimal chromatographic ***-matched standard calibration curves(R^(2)≥0.9752)were obtained for concentration equivalent to ×1/2,×1,×2,×3,×4,and×5 fold the maximum residue limit(MRL)stipulated by the Korean Ministry of Food and Drug *** of 61.2e118.4%,with relative standard deviations(RSDs)of ≤19.9%(intraday and interday),were obtained for each sample at three spiking concentrations(×1/2,×1,and ×2 the MRL values).Limits of detection,limits of quantification,and matrix effects were 0.02e5.5 mg/kg,0.06e10 mg/kg,and -98.8 to 13.9%(at 20 μg/kg),*** five samples of each food matrix(chicken muscle,pork,beef,milk,and egg)purchased from large retailers in Seoul that were tested,none of the target analytes were *** has therefore been shown that this protocol is adaptable,accurate,and precise for the quantification of anthelmintic residues in foods of animal origin.

The antitumor capabilities of agonistic anti-4-1BB mAbs have made them an attractive target for tumor ***,the adverse side effects associated with agonist antibodies have hindered their clinical ***,we aimed to study the immune-related adverse events of repeated doses and long-term use of agonistic anti-4-1BB *** show that chronic activation of 4-1BB signals induced the accumulation of IFN-γ-producing PD-1^(+)CD8^(+)T cells in the secondary lymphoid organs of tumor-bearing mice by increasing the number of dividing CD8^(+)T cells,which was beneficial for suppressing tumor growth in the early phase of anti-4-1BB ***,repeated exposure to anti-4-1BB mAbs led to granuloma development in tumor-draining lymph nodes(TDLNs)of mice due to recruitment and accumulation of macrophages via the CD8^(+)T cell-IFN-γ*** was accompanied by excessive lymph node swelling,which impaired the sequential activation of CD8^(+)T *** data provide insights into the immune-related adverse events of long-term agonist 4-1BB antibody dosing,which should be considered during the clinical development of immunomodulating therapy.

AIM To examine the association between the timing of endo-scopy and the short-term outcomes of acute variceal bleeding in cirrhotic *** This retrospective study included 274 consecutive patients admitted with acute esophageal variceal bleeding of two tertiary hospitals in Korea. We adjusted confounding factors using the Cox proportional hazards model and the inverse probability weighting （IPW） method. The primary outcome was the mortality of patients within 6 *** A total of 173 patients received urgent endoscopy （ i.e. , ≤ 12 h after admission）, and 101 patients received non-urgent endoscopy （〉 12 h after admission）. The 6-wk mortality rate was 22.5% in the urgent endoscopy group and 29.7% in the non-urgent endoscopy group, and there was no significant difference between the two groups before （P = 0.266） and after IPW （P = 0.639）. The length of hospital stay was statistically different between the urgent group and non-urgent group （P = 0.033）; however, there was no significant difference in the in-hospital mortality rate between the two groups （8.1%vs 7.9%, P = 0.960）. In multivariate analyses, timing of endoscopy was not associated with 6-wk mortality （hazard ratio, 1.297; 95% confdence interval, 0.806-2.089; P = 0.284）.CONCLUSION In cirrhotic patients with acute variceal bleeding, the timing of endoscopy may be independent of short-term mortality.

Plastic waste disposal has been recognized as worldwide environmental problem. Therefore, in recent years, increased attention has been paid to the recycling of synthetic polymer waste. This can contribute to solving pollution problem and the reuse of cheap and abundant waste products. The waste plastics were thermally or catalytically degraded into gases and oils which can be used as resources in fuels or chemicals. Several solid acid clay materials such as halloysite, pyrophyllite and montmorillonite are investigated for their performances in the catalytic degradation of polystyrene. The catalytic degradation of polystyrene was carried out in a semibatch reactor with a mixture of polystyrene and catalyst at 400-450℃. All the catalysts showed good catalytic activity for the degradation of PS with high selectivity to aromatic liquids. Sryrene was the major product, and ethylbenzene was the second most abundant one in the liquid product. The effects of surface acidity and catalyst structure on the degradation rate and the distribution of liquid products were discussed in this work.
