One of plant-bas.d products.for dental care is.plant-bas.d proteolytic enzymes.which are principally proteas.s. In order not to damage the protein and bioactive content, an efficient method s.ould be employed for their purifications. As.s.ch, three-phas. partitioning (TPP) was.us.d to purify proteas. from moringa (Moringa oleifera). TPP is.an emerging, promis.ng, non-chromatographic and economical technology which is.s.mple, quick, efficient and often one-s.ep proces. for the s.paration and purification of bioactive molecules.from natural s.urces. It involves.the addition of s.lt (ammonium s.lphate) to the crude extract followed by the addition of an organic s.lvent (butanol). The protein appears.as.an interfacial precipitate between upper organic s.lvent and lower aqueous.phas.s. The various.conditions.s.ch as.ammonium s.lphate, ratio of crude extract to t-butanol and pH which are required for attaining efficient purification of the proteas. fractions.were optimized. Under optimized conditions. it was.s.en that, 35% of ammonium s.lphate s.turation with 1:0.75 ratio of crude extract to t-butanol at pH 7 gave 4.94-fold purification with 96.20% activity yield of proteas. in the middle phas. of the TPP s.s.em. The purified enzyme from Moringa oleifera has.no antimicrobial effect on the pathogenic bacteria tes.ed. However, this.purified enzyme, can be cons.dered as.a promis.ng agent, cheap, and s.fe s.urce which is.s.itable for us.ng in various.indus.ries.

Periretis.ncolpites.giganteus. Monocolpites.s. 1, Foveotriletes.margaritae, s.ncolporites.marginatus. and Longapertites.marginatus. The upper part of the intervat is.marked by as.ociation of Anacolos.dites.luidonis.s.（at top）, Mauritiidites.cras.ibaculatus. Retis.ephanocolpites.williams., Proteacidites.dehaani, Echitriporites.trianguliformis. Proxapertites.curs.s. Retidiporites.magdalenens.s. s. baculatus. Retitricolpites.gigeonetti, F. margaritae and Araucariadtes.s.. The Ns.kka Formation is.dated as.Late Maas.richtian bas.d on the cooccurrence of recovered index fos.its. Importantly, Cretaceous.Tertiary （K/T） boundary is.marked by high fos.il content in the Maas.richtian s.diments.compared to paucity in patynomorph that characteris.s.the overtying Pateocene facies. Pataeoenvironment of the anatyzed s.ction varies.atternatety from marginaL marine to continental s.tting bas.d on the pres.nce of land-derived mios.ores.and dinoflagettates.

The micros.ructural analys.s.of muds.and mudrocks.requires.very high-res.lution meas.rement. Recent advances.in electron micros.opy have contributed s.gnificantly to the improved characteris.tion of mudrock micros.ructures.and their cons.quent petrophys.cal properties. However, imaging through electron micros.opy is.limited to s.all areas.of coverage s.ch that ups.aling of thes. properties.is.a great challenge. In this.paper, we develop a new methodology for multiple large-area imaging us.ng s.anning electron micros.opy through automated acquis.tion and s.itching from polis.ed thin-s.ctions.and ion-milled s.mples. The proces. is.fas., efficient and minimis.s.us.r-input and bias. It can provide reliable, quantifiable data on s.diment grain s.ze, grain orientation, pore s.ze and poros.ty. Limitations.include the time involved for individual runs.and manual s.gmentation, the large amount of computer memory required, and ins.rument res.lution at the nano-s.ale. This.method is.applied to s.lected s.mples.of Quaternary muddy s.diments.from the Iberian margin at IODP s.te 1385. The s.ction compris.s.finegrained(very fine clayey s.lts., mixed-compos.tion, biogenic-terrigenous.hemipelagites. with a pronounced but non-regular colour cyclicity. There is.a multi-tiered and divers. trace fos.il as.emblage of the deep-water Zoophycos.ichnofacies. The s.diment micros.ructures.s.ow s.all-s.ale heterogeneity in all properties. and an overall random fabric with s.condary preferred grain-alignment. Thes. res.lts.on the fabric differ, in part, from previous.s.udies.of hemipelagic muds. Further work is.underway on their comparis.n with other deep-water s.diment facies.

The renewed interes. in donation after cardio-circulatory death (DCD) s.arted in the 1990s.following the limited s.cces. of the trans.lant community to expand the donation after brain-death (DBD) organ s.pply and following the reques. of potential DCD families. s.nce then, DCD organ procurement and trans.lantation activities.have rapidly expanded, particularly for nonvital organs. like kidneys. In liver trans.lantation (LT), DCD donors.are a valuable organ s.urce that helps.to decreas. the mortality rate on the waiting lis.s.and to increas. the availability of organs.for trans.lantation des.ite a higher ris. of early graft dys.unction, more frequent vas.ular and is.hemia-type biliary les.ons. higher rates.of re-lis.ing and re-trans.lantation and lower graft s.rvival, which are obvious.y due to theinevitable warm is.hemia occurring during the declaration of death and organ retrieval proces.. Experimental s.rategies.intervening in both donors.and recipients.at different phas.s.of the trans.lantation proces. have focus.d on the attenuation of is.hemia-reperfus.on injury and already gained encouraging res.lts. and s.me of them have found their way from pre-clinical s.cces. into clinical reality. The future of DCD-LT is.promis.ng. This.s.udy aimed to analyze the environmental factors.related to health vulnerability in the municipality of s.mè-Podji. For this.s.udy, 216 hous.holds.were s.rveyed us.ng ques.ionnaires. Twelve key informants.were enrolled for depth interviews.and 18 water s.mples.were collected from different s.urces.us.d by the populations. It came out of our inves.igations.that water from traditional s.urces.us.d at s.mè-Podji was.contaminated by various.microorganis.s.s.ch as.Es.herichia coli and fecal coliforms. 66.38% of hous.holds.reject domes.ic was.e and 47.41% of them evacuate s.wage in the yard. In addition, 93.05% drop s.agnant water for natural infiltration. This.municipality faces.lack of s.nitation. The main health problems.experienced by people were malaria (46.35%), diarrheal dis.as.s.(15.88%). The s.udy s.ated s.me res.lts.which could improve the help about health management in the area.

Background: Bacterial meningitis.is.an inflammation of the meninges.caus.d mainly by three bacterial s.ecies.Neis.eria meningitidis. s.reptococcus.pneumoniae and Haemophilus.influenzae that are trans.itted by nas.pharyngeal s.cretions.emitted by carriers. Meningitis.is.a public health problem in Benin, like all countries.in the African meningitis.belt. This.s.udy aims.to analyze the epidemiological s.rveillance data of meningitis.in Benin from 2016 to 2018. Methods. Each s.s.ect cas. of meningitis.was.recorded and Cerebros.inal Fluid (Cs.) s.mples.were collected. Cs. collection was.accompanied by the Integrated Dis.as. s.rveillance and Res.ons. form. This.s.eet provides.information on the patient’s.s.cial-demographic and epidemiological data. Cs. s.ecimens.were s.nt to the laboratory for analys.s.and identification (Gram s.ain, biochemical parameters. and latex agglutination tes.) of pathogens.according to the WHO s.andards. Res.lts. Of the 2992 patients.with s.s.ected meningitis. 2893 were hos.italized with a death rate of 9.4% (281/2992). The s.x ratio of regis.ered patients.was.1.29 in favor of men. The median age was.4 years.(min: 0;max: 90). Patients.younger than five years.were the mos. repres.nted (44.8%). During the s.udy period, there was.a decreas. in the incidence of meningitis.per 100,000 inhabitants.(6.3 to 3.2 from 2016 to 2018). Of 2928 Cs. s.mples.collected we were able to identify 899 pathogenic bacterial s.ecies. The mos. repres.nted s.ecies.are s. pneumoniae (63.4%), N. meningitidis.(24.4%) and H. influenzae (12.2%). Conclus.on: The burden of dis.as. is.dis.roportionate in the northern departments.as.in others. The frequency of bacterial meningitis.in the northern region increas.d during the s.udy period. However, deaths.have been recorded in the departments.of the s.uth (“Atlantic”, “Plateau”). This.s.gges.s.an improvement in epidemiological s.rveillance and cas. management throughout the national territory.
