Most E26 transformation-specific （ETS） transcription factors are involved in the pathogenesis and progression of cancer. This is in part due to the roles of ETS transcription factors in basic biological processes such as growth, proliferation, and differentiation, and also because of their regulatory functions that have physiological relevance in tumorigenesis, immunity, and basal cellular homoeostasis. A member of the E74-1ike factor （ELF） subfamily of the ETS transcription factor family--myeloid elf-l-Uke factor （MEF）, designated as ELF4~has been shown to be critically involved in immune response and signalling, osteogenesis, adipo- genesis, cancer, and stem cell quiescence. ELF4 carries out these functions as a transcriptional activator or through interactions with its partner proteins. Mutations in ELF4 cause aberrant interactions and induce downstream processes that may lead to dis- eased cells. Knowing how ELF4 impinges on certain cellular processes and how it is regulated in the cells can lead to a better understanding of the physiological and pathological consequences of modulated ELF4 activity.

Graphs help to define the relationships between entities in the *** relationships,represented by edges,often provide additional context information which can be utilised to discover patterns in the *** Neural Networks(GNNs)employ the inductive bias of the graph structure to learn and predict on various *** primary operation of graph neural networks is the feature aggregation step performed over neighbours of the node based on the structure of the *** addition to its own features,for each hop,the node gets additional combined features from its *** aggregated features help define the similarity or dissimilarity of the nodes with respect to the labels and are useful for tasks like node ***,in real-world data,features of neighbours at different hops may not correlate with the node's ***,any indiscriminate feature aggregation by GNN might cause the addition of noisy features leading to degradation in model's *** this work,we show that selective aggregation of node features from various hops leads to better performance than default aggregation on the node classification ***,we propose a Dual-Net GNN architecture with a classifier model and a selector *** classifier model trains over a subset of input node features to predict node labels while the selector model learns to provide optimal input subset to the classifier for the best *** two models are trained jointly to learn the best subset of features that give higher accuracy in node label *** extensive experiments,we show that our proposed model outperforms both feature selection methods and state-of-the-art GNN models with remarkable improvements up to 27.8%.

During tunnel boring machine(TBM)excavation,lithology identification is an important issue to understand tunnelling performance and avoid time-consuming ***,site investigation generally lacks ground samples and the information is subjective,heterogeneous,and imbalanced due to mixed ground *** this study,an unsupervised(K-means)and synthetic minority oversampling technique(SMOTE)-guided light-gradient boosting machine(LightGBM)classifier is proposed to identify the soft ground tunnel classification and determine the imbalanced issue of tunnelling *** the tunnel excavation,an earth pressure balance(EPB)TBM recorded 18 different operational parameters along with the three main tunnel *** proposed model is applied using Python low-code PyCaret ***,four decision tree-based classifiers were obtained in a short time period with automatic hyperparameter tuning to determine the best model for clustering-guided SMOTE *** addition,the Shapley additive explanation(SHAP)was implemented to avoid the model black box *** proposed model was evaluated using different metrics such as accuracy,F1 score,precision,recall,and receiver operating characteristics(ROC)curve to obtain a reasonable outcome for the minority *** shows that the proposed model can provide significant tunnel lithology identification based on the operational parameters of *** proposed method can be applied to heterogeneous tunnel formations with several TBM operational parameters to describe the tunnel lithologies for efficient tunnelling.

This paper presents an improvement of A-SATCHMORE (SATCHMORE withAvailability) . A-SATCHMORE incorporates relevancy testing and availability checking into SATCHMOto prune away irrelevant forward chaining. However, considering every consequent atom of thosenon-Horn clauses being derivable, A-SATCHMORE may suffer from a potential explosion of thesearch space when some of such consequent atoms are actually underivable. This paper introducesa solution for this problem and shows its correctness.

Sodium fluoride（NaF） and disodium octaborate tetrahydrate（DOT） are well-known fungicides for preventing and remediating decay in wood and wood structures,due to their excellent diffusion properties in *** efficacy of both compounds against drywood termites is,however,inadequately studied;there is a lack of information on the development of proper protection and control methods against drywood termites using these diffusible *** this study,the threshold values of fluoride and boron against drywood and subterranean termites and decay and mold fungi were assessed in laboratory *** Cryptomeria japonica ***（sugi） sapwood specimens with four different concentrations of NaF and DOT applied by either dipping or vacuum processes were subjected to attack by drywood termites,Incisitermes minor（Hagen） for 6 *** specimens were also tested against subterranean termites,Coptotermes formosanus Shiraki for 3 *** decay and mold resistance tests were then performed to determine the efficacy of the compounds against fungal *** showed 80% or greater drywood termite mortality in wood specimens treated with NaF at a retention level of1.7 kg m;or *** DOT treated groups,higher retention levels(greater than 6.8 kg m;) were needed to reach up to 80% or more termite *** general,weight losses in NaF-treated specimens were slightly lower than those in DOT-treated *** levels of around1.2 kg m;for NaF and 1.6 kg m;for DOT were high enough to reach the JIS K 1571 threshold requirement of weight loss less than 3% in subterranean termite resistance *** higher termite mortality values were seen in the DOT than NaF treatments at respective retention *** decay resistance tests,no weight losses were seen at a NaF retention level of 2.3 kg m;;however,a retention level of nearly 4 kg m;for DOT was needed for complete protection against both test *** most cases,lower weight losses were obtained in

The synthesis of N-cyclohexyl carbamate-attached fluorene-alt-phenylene copolymer(PFPNCC)and the use of PFPNCC as a“ligand-free”fluorescent chemosensor for Cu(Ⅱ)are *** of Cu(Ⅱ)can efficiently quench the fluorescence of PFPNCC in nucleophilic solvents such as DMF and DMSO,but not in low nucleophilic solvents such as 1,4-dioxane and ***-visible spectra of the mixture of the conjugated polymer and Cu(Ⅱ)indicate the presence of a reduced Cu(Ⅰ)ion in the ***,fluorescence recovery of PFPNCC observed at low temperature suggests that the quenching and reducing mechanism is most probably due to a photo-induced electron transfer from excited PFPNCC to Cu(Ⅱ).Our findings provide a novel strategy for highly selective conjugated polymer-based chemosensors for various target analytes,albeit“ligand-free”.

Advanced fuel economy strategies are expected to reduce the fuel consumption of *** internal combustion engine(ICE)driving vehicle equipped with free-wheeling turns off the fuel injection and decouples the engine from the drivetrain when the driving force is not *** paper proposes a method to reduce the fuel consumption of a vehicle equipped with ***,an optimization problem is formulated to minimize the fuel consumption of a vehicle with free-wheeling when the traveling distance,the initial and final speed are specified and the vehicle needs to glide before arriving at the end point for fuel *** speed profile of the vehicle,engine operating point,and engine on/off timing are obtained as the results of the *** analytical and numerical analyses results demonstrate the effectiveness and the fuel-saving mechanism of the obtained speed *** main finding of the analyses is that rather than starting a gliding stage immediately after an acceleration or a constant speed stage,adding a pre-acceleration stage before the gliding stage is more fuel-economic under some conditions independent of the complexity of the vehicle *** obtained speed profile including a pre-acceleration stage is applied to a driving scenario including traffic *** results demonstrate the effectiveness of the pre-acceleration stage in reducing fuel consumption for a vehicle equipped with free-wheeling.

Underground urban expressways are a possibility for solving many existing transportation-related problems, such as traffic congestion in high density areas and the division of neighborhoods due to elevated roadways. However, they may also pose high risks regarding traffic safety. Therefore, it is important for a pre-analysis of traffic safety to be made. This paper describes recent efforts to develop a driving simulation system, MOVIC-T4, for traffic safety analysis of underground urban expressways. In order to develop a small portable simulator, a small-sized motion-base with two-degrees-of-freedom is used to duplicate acceleration cueing together with a head-mounted-display （HMD） for the visual system. An overview of this system is given and the reliability of driving data obtained from the experiments using MOVIC-T4 is discussed through a validation study using field driving data. The results of validation indicate that the perceived speed distance headway, and physiological data in the simulator show the almost same trend as that in the real world, but larger decelerations tend to be produced in the simulator.

An interactive rendering system using hierarchical data structure for earth-scale clouds

This paper presents an interactive system for realistic visualization of earth-scale clouds. Realistic images can be generated at interactive frame rates while the viewpoint and the sunlight directions can be changed interactively. The realistic display of earth-scale clouds requires us to render large volume data representing the density distribution of the clouds. However, this is generally time-consuming and it is difficult to achieve the interactive performance, especially when the sunlight direction can be changed. To address this, our system precomputes the integrated intensities and opacities of clouds for various viewing and sunlight directions. This idea is combined with a novel hierarchical data structure for further acceleration. The photorealism of the final image is improved by taking into account the atmospheric effects and shadows of clouds on the earth. We demonstrate the usefulness of our system by an application to a space flight simulation.
